Kira felt an awkward sort of silence settle in the air, but she didn't know what to say.
Usually, she wouldn't be the one talking, but she racked her mind for things to saw and came up with nothing.
It was pretty rare for her not to have anything to say, but everything IS possible. Kira was used to being with friends and being silent, but she felt a new feeling that seemed like desperation to be friends with Ikara.
She shook her head slightly and rolled her eyes, 'No, I can't afford to be desperate for friendship..I'll just see how this goes, absolutely refuse to stoop so low as to desperation!', she thought, hard-headly.
She didn't like feeling desperate or anything like that. She started to form a slight change in personality, as she repeatedly told herself that she would not pine for friendship, but she would simply see how it turns out, starting now.
