Through the Fog

[whiteaura]

Rin walked along the rocky path, through the thick fog. She pulled a few strands of hair out of her face, and avoided some of the rather large rocks. Rio was resting peacefully on her shoulder, her head moving in every direction after hearing the soft rolling of pebbles. The fog was just plain thick, and rather unusual.

This is ridiculous. I really need to find my way back, and fast. The night will come soon, and I really don't want to find out who...or what is waiting for me.

Rio pecked at Rin's bell, making a light jingling sound. Rin smiled back at the raven. "Good idea Rio." The bird just kept pecking, twittering as well at Rin. As she was walking, her knee hit a large boulder, making her stumble. Scrambling back up to stand, she brushed herself off, sweat beading down. If it wasn't for that boulder, she would apparently be falling off a cliff.

Rio screeched in her ear, as if scolding her. Rin flinched and glared at Rio.

"Yeah, yeah. I know. I should have seen it coming. You don't have to be such a priss about it. Gosh."

Rio returned to pecking ferociously pecking at the bell around her neck. It was clear she wanted to get back. Rin felt the same way. She made a move to walk, but a sharp pain overtook her knee. She fell over, and this time, her knee refused to let her back up. Rio squacked at her, as if telling her to get up.

Rin glared. "Don't you think I'm trying!" But she gave up hope, and layed back down, blood dribbling down her knee.

Great...With this fog, no one's ever going to be able to find me.
"Rio, do you mind ringing the bell again?" The bird obeyed, landing on her chest and pecking softly on the bell.

[Ichi Kasuke]

Ichi was walking around in the Hidden Rock Village, but he was lost. He could barely see through the fog, so he was very cautious. He heard the bell, and started running towards it, not knowing if there was any danger. He was close to the bell, but he tripped and made a loud noise when he hit the ground.

Rio squawked noisily, her feathers and wings going every which way. Rin covered her face so the raven wouldn't claw her to death. She flipped over onto her stomach, and tried to army crawl, only to have her knee start burning. She sighed, frustrated and went back on her back.

Rio calmed down after a while. Rin tried to sit up, and saw a faint outline of a person. She immediately widened her eyes and tried to crawl toward them. She had no such luck, and roared in frustration as blood poured from the wound.

[Ichi Kasuke]

Ichi saw the person crawling towards him. He ran to her, not knowing if anything would happen. He didn't really care at this moment. He stood next to her and saw the blood from her wound. "Do you need any help?" Ichi asked.

[Leler]

"Anyone out there?"Tsuki called in cat form. It helped her vision, hearing, and smell, but didn't do much in fog. Then she saw her. A girl with a bloody knee, a squaking raven, and a really long drop down Deseaced Ditch. Tsuki shuddered, and looked at the girl on the ground. Her knee was pumping blood furiously, but apparently, she tripped on South Rock. It had a small splatter of blood on it.
"Need some help?"Tsuki joked, reaching down for the girl.

Rin was glad she didn't have to crawl anymore, it just went from a burn, to searing pain. She nodded quietly. Rio pecked at her bell again. Rin looked at her, and put a finger gently on her beak.

"We're fine now Ri. At least I think we are." She looked suspiciously at the boy, and girl.

Just who are these people anyway? I've never seen them around before...

[Ichi Kasuke]

Ichi saw another person come in. It seems like she's worried too. He was confused what happened to her and why its so foggy. He remained speechless until someone said anything else. He didn't know what to say and he didn't want to say something random. He sat down right where he was standing.

Rin saw the boy sit right down. She raised an eyebrow. Rio pecked at her head lightly. Rin looked at Rio, who's eyes seemed to say 'Be a little less hostile if you want to get out of here, you idiot.'

Rio pecked Rin in the middle of her forehead. Her hand immediately shot up to her forehead.

"Jeez! You're worried about me being hostile!" Rio squawked right back at her. Rin sighed and turned back to the two people.

"I appreciate your help. My name is Rin. And this is my now hostile bird, Rio." Rin dodged another peck to the forehead.

[Ichi Kasuke]

Ichi saw the bird and laughed. "I'm Ichi, from the Sound Vilalge." A hostile bird...looks kind of annoying!He wondered who the other girl was, and how Rin got the wound. Might of been those annoying rocks and the fog...not totally sure though. He thought.

[Leler]

"I'm Tsuki, of the rock. Here, apply this to your knee, it'll help stop the bleeding."Tsuki said, squatting down. She dug her hand into a pouch at her hip, producing a large, purple and pink leaf. It had a soft glow, for it was a little bit oily and what few sunrays peirced the fog hit it at just the right angle. Tsuki held it out, and watched the injured girl's movements.

Rin gave a small smile to the girl, and took the leaf. She had seen this leaf before in a book, so she knew as a Medic-Nin she could trust it. She slowly applied it to her knee, aware of the girl watching her. Rio flew over onto the Tsuki's shoulder, and stared at her.

"She's saying thank you. And don't worry, she doesn't peck anybody unless I tell her to." Rin smiled. "I am also from the Rock. But I don't think I've ever met anybody from the Sound." She said, turning back to the both of them.

[Leler]

"Thanks, and I don't think I have either."Tsuki said. She whistled, and in a few minutes, you could hear a small flutter. A snowy owl burst through a fog barrier and onto Tsuki's other shoulder.
"Now, I'm trusting you two not to fight. Can I risk doing that?"Tsuki sternly asked the birds. Duko, the owl, spread his wings and hooted. Rio did somwhat the same thing.
"Good. Rin, Ichi, this is Duko, my owl. He's a good little bird, who dosen't kill in the presence of people."Tsuki cooed, scratching his chin. Duko screeched and flapped his wings really hard on Tsuki's head.
"Ow, ow, ow! stop it! Alright! Your not little, your macho and tough! better?"Tsuki yelled, defending her face. Duko settled down, and Rio half laughed at Tsuki.
"Oh, who asked you?"Tsuki raised her voice from a said at Rio. She stopped, and Tsuki smiled and patted her head.
"Now, are we better?"She asked the two. Duko bobbed his head three times, the signal for yes.

Rin's smile grew. She felt a little better she wasn't the only one who got bullied by a bird. Rio started flapping her wings, and glided back to her. The smaller bird settled on her head, and started cleaning her wings.

"Rio may be a bit of a brat sometimes-" The said bird squawked angrily. "Let me finish idiot! Anyway, she may be acting a little bratty now, but she can be sweet and helpful sometimes."

Rio flew back down to Rin's shoulder and stared at her. Rin smiled. "You're welcome."

[Leler]

"Duko is a little bit obsessed over his appearence once and awile. Once, he had a peice of mistletoe tied to his wing, and glided over me and my bff. He thought he was fashionable."Tsuki said, stroking the bird fondly. She laughed a little, remembering the kiss. It had danced across her mouth, and made her fall in love.

Rin gave a light laugh. Rio traveled down her arm, and down to her knee, and then continued staring. Rin smirked.

"I don't know what you're thinking, but don't get ANY ideas!" Rio 'innocently' returned to cleaning feathers. Rin shook her head and sighed.

"I take it you enjoyed it though?" Rin asked with a playful tone, and a teasing smile to go with it.
