She knew how to work the whip so it was easier for her to dodge it as he ran after her. She threw more kunai towards him. Then she used a subsitution jutsu and snatched her whip.
"Wait, times, she said; can we continue this another time when all my teammates are here? I'm just saying because we already just fought..." Kasuga said.
