I sighed happily. It was a cool day, but still sunny out. I hadn't been in the woods for a long time and I thought it would be nice to go back and see if anyone was around. In jeans and a blue cowell neck sweater I wandered through, humming happily to myself. I wore my headband around my neck for a change, and my sandals were partially hidden under my jeans.

Kyo skipped though the woods, wearing jeans and a dark green sweatshirt. She was barefoot, holding her shoes in her hand. She liked the feel of the grass squishing between her toes, the coolness of it all. She spotted someone up ahead that looked familiar. "Shi-chan?," she said softly, questioningly. She wasn't sure it was her, because she hadn't seen her friend in a long time. She slipped on her shoes and walked closer to her friend, and saw, indeed, that it was her friend Shizuke. "Shi-chan! Hi!"

I jumped, turning around. A big smile came across my face. "Kyo-chan!" I hadn't seen Kyo in what had seemed like forever. I gave her a friendly hug. "Kyo! Oh my god I haven't seen you in ages!" I exclaimed. "How have you been? What have you been up to?" I asked. I was just too excited now, I was jumping up and down.

Kyo grinned, hugging her friend back. She bounced lightly on the balls of her feet, a habit of when she was excited. "I've been great, Shi!," she replied brightly. "Nothing interesting's been going on with me, sadly. My life's been fairly slow, other that the usual arguing with my brothers and such." "What about you?," Kyo asked. "How have you been? Done anything interesting?" Kyo firmly believed that everyone else's life was much more exciting than hers.

"I've been terrific!" I exclaimed happily, flipping back and jumping against a few of the trees around the area. "Not a ton has been up. Except for the fact that I get to hang with my bro a bit more." I said, landing lightly infront of her again. "I haven't done a ton, it's been so boring around the village these days."

Kyo laughed slightly as she watched Shizuke bounce all over the place. "Energetic, are we?," she asked, still laughing as Kyo herself bounced a bit. Kyo nodded. "I've hung out with my brothers more too, much to their distaste," Kyo said, smirking. "I love annoying them, especially Haru.'" Kyo's smile widened as she thought of her lastest plot. "Yeah, it has been pretty slow, hasn't it?," she asked. "But hey, there's always something!"

"Definitely slow." I agreed, still bouncing around the little area. "But hey, maybe somethig exciting will happen." I said, flipping back a couple more times. "And I've been practicing some medical too, just out of pure boredm." I said. "And a good prep. in case Yuo gets hurt." I laughed, brushing back a few pieces of my hair happily.

"I sure hope so!," Kyo said. But then her natural optimism took over. "But hey, whenever it seems slow around here, there's always something big to pick it back up again!" Kyo smiled, fond of her village. "Medical stuff." Kyo shook her head. "My younger brother likes that. Me, on the other hand, I prefer things of another field, like fighting or something." Kyo shrugged. "Maybe you can teach him a thing or two." She smiled again, always smiley, still bouncing slightly.

"I'm still not terrific at it." I said, flipping back a few more times and then bouncing on my heels. "I'm usually busy looking for people to do medical on. But all the medic-nin have it handy." I blew a strand of my black hair from my face. "I'm ok with fighting, I'd rather not do lots of it though."

Kyo looked around, squinting in the bright sunlight. For fall, it sure was nice out. As she watched leaf flutter to the ground, she said, "I usually prefer not to fight. But I will if I have to, or if a friend asks me to help them train or something. Or if I have to train myself." Kyo bent down, picking up a leaf and started ripping off little pieces of it. Being all twitchy, she had to be doing something. She still bounced slightly.

I still bounced around lightly on my heels. "The last time I actually had a spar I broke my brothers girlfriends arm." I said, rubbing the back of my head slightly. "And I don't want to break anybody's arm, I'd rather help people, not hurt people." I said. "I fight, I just don't like it."

"Heh, you broke your brother's girlfriend's arm? That had to be pretty uncomfortable at times," Kyo mused. "My little brother fell off a roof once and broke his arm." Kyo winced, remembering it. "Fighting's not really my thing. I mean, I'm a pretty good opponent, but I'l really rather not, y'know?" Kyo chuckled. "You have the same philosophy as my little brother. He hates fighting, but he'll be there to heal anyone who needs it."

"I'm still a novice with medical. I don't want to be a medic-nin when I get older. I'd rather be higher ranked." I said. "But yeah...it was a spar with his girlfriend, she wasn't even his girlfriend at the time." I said. "I felt soo bad I just about freaked out over it. But everything's good now."

"Medic ninjas are important, though," Kyo said, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. She dropped the only thing left of the leaf, a small part of the stem, and watched it flutter to the ground. "I think that everything has it's own important rank in the insane world we live in." Smiling, Kyo stopped moving around. "Hey, Shi-chan. You wanna go do something fun? No idea what, but we'll think of something."

I nodded. "I agree, they are important." I said. I bounced around a little on my toes happily, dancing lightly to a song in my head. "As long as it isn't dangerous." I said. "If it's dangerous we need to do something else." I hummed quietly to myself, still dancing around lightly and happily.
