Ikara looked at Haruka with a knowing smile on her face.
"You've sussed i chose this area for a reason; with both our talents combined and able to be used to their full advantage, Hayato is in a very difficult position,"
She walked over and sat her bag under a tree.
"Even if one of us stuffs up, the surroundings mean we have the advantage,"
Kneeling on one knee, Ikara securely tied the laces of her white knee-high sandals.

Hayato grunted under his breath. "Hey, both of you don't be underestamating me, I'm stronger than I look" he said as he cracked his knuckles. He carelessly threw his bag where it would not get in the way. He straightend his headband, and then reached into his weapons pouch with his right hand and pulled out a kunai. "Well then" he said his face going from happy to stern " let's do this" He then jumped into the middle of the clearing, and got into a defesive stance.

Ikara sighed as Hayato appeared overconfident.
She pulled 3 kunai from the pouch on her back pocket and gripped them in between the fingers of her right hand.
She remembered this move well and knew it was likely Haruka would too; it was the technique she'd used to defeat her afterall.
She ran towards Hayato as fast as she could and thrusted her fist towards his torso, gritting her teeth as she did so.
"Don't get so cocky," She smirked as she attacked.

Haruka nodded to Ikara, but did not answer in any verbal way. She was in her focusing mode now. Getting ready mentally.
Her eyes were focused on the target, trying to think up some sort of prior stratagy for herself. She was going to have to immediantly activate her elemental possession, that much was certain. It was her main line of attack and defense.
Ikara made the first move, to her surprise. With the battle started, Haruka preformed her possestion, locking together the hand signs.
Following that, she pulled out a kunai of her own, staying defensive, waiting and watching.

Hayato watched as Ikara charged at him. I was right this is gonna be fun, he thought.. He threw the kunai he was holding at her, and then withdrew his main weapon, with the blades exposed. Perfect time to use this, he thought. He focused a small amount of chakra into the blade, and then jumped into the air, and came down aiming for Ikara.

Her teammate was in need now, so Haruka quickly sprange to action. She made a motion with her hands for some water to move int front of Ikara. She closed her fists and the water molecules slowly spread out and the water turned to a thick sheet of ice.
Part of her was skeptical as to if this would work. A chakra infused weapon was likely to break right through, but at the least it would slow down the spead enought for Ikara to maybe get out of the way.

Haruka shielded Ikara using her own abilities.
Within a split second, Ikara dodged his kunai attack and landed in the lake behind him.
Just as planned
She thought to herself; allowing herself to get soaked would allow her more advantages in battle. Now she could use her water barrier to protect herself.
"Haruka?" She called to her battle partner.
"You focus on offensive and i'll go for defensive!" She winked at Haruka; she didn't actually mean any of this and she hoped Haruka knew her well enough to know that defensive wasn't her style.

Hayato watched as a wall of ice blocked him from attacking Ikara. Crap, he thought, I can't stop now, as is blades peirced the ice. He landed on the ground, and glanced at the lake. "What is she trying to do? " he said under is breath. He heard Ikara tell Hakura to take on the offense. Ok then, he thought, better get ready. He raised his weapon in front of him in a defensive stance, and grabbed a kunai with his left hand, out of his pouch.

Haruka glanced back briefly to Ikara. It was easy to see what she was getting at, and knowing Ikara, she wasn't usually a person that rolled in the direction of Offense.
But for the time being, while she waited for Ikara, she was going to have to take on the attack.
She raised her hands, motioing again and taking the ice from before, now shattered, and reforming it's structure back to a liquid. She brought it to her side before she charaged. She swung the water at his two sides in a whip like fashion.

Ikara saw this as her opportunity to strike; her control over water was much more advanced than Haruka's due to it being in her blood. She summoned some water from the lake and watched as it formed an orb in her hand; she reconfigured it and froze it so it created a series of long ice spears, each one a metre long.
She prayed Haruka would keep distracting him long enough to allow her to attack.
Ikara threw the ice spears at Hayato but rather than have them pierce through him, she forced them to surround him and create an ice prison.
Ikara walked towards the imprisoned Hayato, cautious of any escapes he may attempt to make.

Hayato put Ikara off of his mind for a moment to focus on Hakura. He saw her take take the ice, and turn it back into water by her side. She then formed a cage of ice around him. "Hey, that's pretty cool!" he yelled at her, laughing. He then thought of a way to get passed it. Maybe if I use jutsu, if I use it now, I'm gonna have to use a small amount of chakra so I can use it again within the four hour time limit, if not then I am pretty much a dead man. Ok well here goes. He charged at Hakura, and formed the correct hand seals, " Green Flame Palm!" he yelled. He planned on using less than half the normal amount of chakra, weaking his attack. It should still get the job done, he thought to himself.

Haruka smirked. "Please, this kind of thing is simple for me." she said.
He charged again, but out of the corner of her eye, she could seem Ikara getting ready. Obviously, his attention was on her.
She brought the water back to her front, switching quickly back to a defensive stance, and again froze it. It would mentl the water into and unusualbe vapor, but it was better than getting it.
After the attack hit, Ikara made her move, the ice surrounding him. There was a technique she hadn't seen Ikara use before. Quite interesting.
