After Keiko payed the cashier, she grabbed her drink and poured half of it down her dry throat. She walked out of the little store and into the bustling streets of Konoha. She walked down the dusty roads and sighed. Everyday had been completely and utterly boring. It was the same routine: Wake up, walk around, eat, and then sleep. If Keiko didn't find something better to do, she wouldn't be surprised if she ended up dead. Death by Boredom.
Only after draining the remains of her drink, did Keiko crumple the can and leave it in a trash bin. Which, coincidently, she'd done everyday for the last week. Keiko had basically already planned her funeral. Which was also boring.
"Oh, god! Why is life so boring?" she said to herself irritably. A few people gave her looks. She ignored them. "Those people probably don't have lives, either!" she sourly thought. Keiko could only hope death would have some spark of action.
Keiko crossed a street to a bench, which she sat down on and tried not to look like she'd be there all day.

Yukito kicked a pebble across the street, watching as it bounced on the cement and topple off the edge of the kerb. He hadn't had a mission for a few days now.
He was glad of this as it meant no blood had been shed at his hands but at the same time, boredom had consumed him. He hated killing and he hated being forced to do it but at the same time, at least then he had something to do. Something that preoccupied him from his thoughts.
He couldn't help but question his reason for existence. To live out his life for his brother? He had tried to convince himself that this was the case; that he would live out his promise to his brother. But a small part of him was terrified that it was the killer instinct that was in him that made him go on.
Slouching with his hands in his pockets, he continued walking down the street. SMACK His elbow collided with something "Oh gosh im so sorry!" He bowed at the young girl who's head had been thumped by his arm

"I wonder what I'll do tomorrow?" thought Keiko, before scoffing. As if it really mattered. It wasn't like she would have any fun. She hadn't been given a mission is so long, she thought that maybe the hokage had just forgotten her. Not that she liked missions much. They were just something to do. Doing a mission was way better than this.
Keiko was about to spurt off some moody comment about how hot it was when something crashed into her head. The pain momentarily made her blind, and she blinked the blackness out of her eyes.
"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry!"
Keiko rubbed the spot where someone's elbow had smacked into her head, and then looked up at the culprit.
"Oh, just whack my head, why don't you?" she growled. She swiped a strand of green hair behind her ear and then stood up, muttering a curse word.
"What's with the physical bashing? You should watch where your going," she snapped at who ever the guy was.

"I said i was sorry....." He bowed again; a few red strands of hair fell into his eyes which he brushed behind his ear, almost knocking the cuff on his ear off.
The girl was very aggressive towards him; that seemed to be the norm these days. Noone seemed capable of civility; it appeared he was a dying breed.
"It was only an accident....." He sighed; he had met her type before; she wouldn't give up until she won her arguement, if you could call it an arguement, so the best thing he could do would be to end it before it began and leave.
"Again, sorry," He rolled his eyes and continued walking down the street.

Keiko listened to him as he apologized several times. Keiko wasn't always this grumpy. In fact, she was normally polite, and rarely snappy. Maybe if she'd been in a better mood, she would have accepted his apology quickly, smiled, and acted like a good little girl. He just happened to catch her in a bad mood, that was all.
Keiko almost snapped something else as he rolled his eyes and walked away. However, she held her tongue. She figured that she'd already made an F in Social Skills, so she decided to follow him and apologize herself. She caught up quickly.
"Look, sorry I'm so snappy today. I've been having an awful, boring week. And then, something potentially interesting happens, and I scare it off. Sorry," She offered an apologetic smile as she said this.

"Don't worry....i know the feeling...." He smiled at her, "What do you mean potentially interesting?" He asked, confused by her statement
She actually seemed to be quite a pleasant young girl; perhaps he had judged her a tad too soon.

Keiko smiled at him, thankful that he at least understood her dilemma.
"Uhm, you know. I could end up having a nice chat with you. It would certainly kill the time and brighten my day. I haven't actually talked with anyone since..." her voice trailed as she tried to remember exactly when she'd last spoken to someone. At first she came up blank, which sent her into a little panic, but then she remembered that only a few days ago she went to a party.
"Well, you get the point," she ended the thought ominously. "By the way," she continued. "My name is Keiko. And you are?"

Yukito listened to her and the waited patiently as she appeared to ponder for a moment. She introduced herself as Keiko "Im Yukito, Yukito Shinya!" He introduced himself, offering a hand out to her.
Well maybe his time in between missions wouldn't be so bad now.

Keiko took his hand and shook it. She smiled brightly. After releasing his hand she mused, "I've heard that name before, somewhere around here. I dunno. Konoha is a big place," She scanned around her surroundings subconsciously and then returned her gaze back to Yukito.
"I know! You're from that clan that has, like, really high standards and stuff. I think I went to the academy with a Shinya and he was, like, twice my age. That's normal for that clan isn't it?"
She barely even realized that she was sort of rambling.

"That sounds about right....." Yukito smiled, "It's a pain that an envy from over 100 years ago still rules my clan...." He sighed; it was true though. His clans entire training system was founded on the fact that one of his ancestors was jealous of the Uchiha clan and their Kekkei Genkai; to create such standards for the clan to ensure they never lost to an Uchiha or any bloodlimit for that fact was a really sad reflection on his ancestors mentality.

Keiko nodded intently. "Well, I really didn't know it was all based on an envy. That's interesting, though." she paused and did another mental sweep of her brain to see if there was anything special about her clan. "Well, nothing seems special about my clan. Just boring and short on shinobi," She laughed a tad bitterly as she said.
"I do wish," she began. "that my clan had some cool past, or I had a kekkei genkei. But I don't, so I'll just have to kick butt on my own. Which, I can do." "It's funny how I seem to hide my feelings with jokes," thought Keiko.
"And anyways, I like challenges." she added. "What do you do for fun?"

"Ah a kekkei genkai....that's what this whole dilemma in my clans over; one of the leaders got jealous and went a bit mad.....stupid sheep continued the rules even today!" Yukito joked.
"Fun?" Yukito pondered the question for a while. It had been so long since he'd had time off, he'd never really had a chance to find something "fun". The only thing he could think of is sitting at night watching the stars. Or his horoscopes. But they were pretty boring compared to what everyone else seemed to do with their free time.
"Train i guess. Or catch up on my astrology!" He added, "I have very little time off due to family missions that i can't really take up any major hobbies that require dedication," He rolled his eyes.

Keiko nodded. She almost questioned the 'family mission' thing, but decided that it was a 'family' mission for a reason. "Astrology sounds fun," she commented. "I have lots of time off, but I never really got way into any major hobbies. I do love to read, sketch, and write. And sometimes I just sit alone and think."
She thought some more and then added, "And training is good, too. But sometimes it all gets old. For once, I'd love to go on some adventure. Or something."
She looked to see his reaction to her dreams of adventure. She thought that they were pretty common dreams.

"Adventure sounds nice!" He nodded, "Im sick of travelling though! I spend most of my time out of the village so it's nice to get to explore my own land once in a while......though it really seems boring today...." He yawned, arching his back like a cat as he stretched.
"Ah thinking.....Camui used to say that i spent way too much time doing that; i was all brain and no action apparently" he laughed, "But you do meet some pretty interesting people when travelling; that's how i met my future fiance!" He added, lifting out a coloured bracelet from his back pocket "The minute im able to wear this, she's mine!"

Keiko listened intently to his speaking, and nodded along. "Actually, when you've lived here for 15 years, Konoha either annoys you to no extent, or grows on you. Mine would be the former."
((OOC: Ugh. I can't remember if 'latter' means the first option or the second option. I think it's the first option, so if I got that wrong I meant to say that Konoha annoys Keiko. =D))
Its the 2nd one! I changed it for you!
When Yukito showed her the bracelet, she thought it was kind of weird that he wore bracelets to show this kind of thing. "But," she thought. "Everyone's different,"
She looked at the bracelet and then back at Yukito. "That's good. You seem pretty happy." she said, smiling. Once again, she scanned her surroundings. Even in Konoha, Keiko felt paranoid.
Keiko almost asked who she was, but stopped herself. One, that was digging into his business, and two, she probably didn't know who she was, so there was no point.
"Uhm, I've run out of things to ask you. Ask me a question," she said.
((OOC: Personally, I wouldn't want to marry someone who didn't love me, even if she would make great children. Yes, I did read the profile.))
