She stared at him a moment before returning his smile sincerely. "Arigato, Kaname." she thanked him, a slight giggle to her tone. He looked away and she sighed, figuring the small, brief moment of normality had ended. There was suddenly a gurgling noise from the pot on the fire behind them. She jumped up. "Oh, crap!" she grumbled, walking over to it, hoping it hadn't boiled too long. She picked it up and began straining the rice.

Kaname looked at Juni and smiled. "Your welcome." He said. He looked in the sky, the sun was starting to set. The sky had an orange color to it. He almost jumped when he heard the gurgling noise. He laughed a bit. The rice must almost be done. I hope it wasn't in for too long. He thought.

She quickly dished the now mushy rice into two of the wooden bowls she had in her bag. She brought it back over, a look of shame on her face. "A bit overdone but...." she sighed, hanging her head in shame. She had completely screwed up dinner with a guest, not the most honorable thing to do. Holding out the second bowl and a set of chopsticks out to him, she looked off to the side.

"Its fine if its a bit overdone." Kaname said, trying to cheer her up. He grabbed the bowl and the chopsticks and started eating the rice. Heh, at least she can cook better than I can! He thought. He laughed a bit in his head. "The rice is still good!" He said happily.

She looked at him funny for a moment, then down to her own bowl of rice, and back at him. Slowly a smile started to come onto her face, and a laugh followed. "Yeah, mushy rice that i made is good. Very funny." she said through her laughter, shoveling a few chopstick full of it into her own mouth. It wasn't too bad. Not to her own liking but it was still eatable.

Kaname fell over laughing when she said that. He sat back up and started eating the rice again. At least the rice isn't so bad that we can't eat it. He thought. He stopped eating for a bit and thought about how Juni could think she was a traitor, but she was nice to him.

She stuck her tongue out at him quickly. "Please... It wasn't that funny." she insisted, shaking her head and spooning in another mouthful of rice. "So... what was up with that battle in the woods? You know before I jumped you?" she asked curiously. She had watched the last half of it, just out of shere curiousity. When he ran away from it, she had thought him and easy and interesting target.

"The fight?" Kaname asked and sighed. "I was just eating and some other shinobi got me mad. They were talking trash, so I hit them. I had to run away since even more people came." He said. He wondered how she knew about the fight before she jumped him. He took another chopstick of rice and ate it.

She sighed. "That would make sense then." she said. "If anyone was talking trash about me or anyone i knew, I'd do that same thing..." she shifted her sitting possition, crossing her legs in front of her stretched out her arms, chopsticks and bowl still in hand. "It was and interesting battle while it lasted though..." she complemented. "That jutsu of yours... the one where you grow spins on your body... it's quite remarkable."

"The jutsu is actually my Kekkei Genkai. Its called Spike Body..." Kaname said. "Its used for offense and defence...only because you can make the spikes go wherever you want, except the neck and head." He said. I was lucky to still have it activated when she was attacking me...and I guess she was watching the fight too. He thought.

Juni nodded thoughtfully. "Makes sense... I'll have to keep that in mind if we ever meet in combat again..." she grinned. "Which is a possibility." she was almost finished with her rice, and looked over to his bowl, just to see how much he had left. Didn't look like much to her, but then again she ate like pig, so it might have been alot, she wasn't sure. "You almost finished?" she finally asked.

Kaname finished the little bit of rice he had left in his bowl. "What, do you want to fight again?" He asked. It would be fun to fight her again...plus I can use some of my jutsus too. He thought. He looked at the sky again. It looked like a dark blue. The sun was almost completely gone.

She took his bowl quickly so that she could wash it later in the morning. "Maybe later. Your chakra is probably still replenishing." she told him in a matter-of-factly way, holding up one finger like a professor. "That Kekkei genkai of your seems to take alot of energy out of you. I'll wait till your at the top of your game." she winked.

Kaname laughed a bit. "It does take a lot out of me. I lose 50 percent of my chakra and my skin feels sore..since it gets stretched out." He said. "I'll tell you when I'm ready to fight again." He said. My chakra should be replenished fully really soon... He thought.

She grimaced. "Ouch... stretchy skin... Yuck..." she stuck out her tongue. She could handle blood and gore, no problem, but something like that was just gross to her. "Anyway, i look forward to another battle with you... A fair battle..." she held out her hand for a quick shake, almost as a promise that she would be clean about things this time.
