Kasuga did another subsitution and wondered how long she'd last with only a little chakra left, but felt a tiny bruise on the back of her knees before her subsitution. She wanted to use her kekkei genkai, but she realized she hadn't been angered yet. She sighed because she thought she could never get mad at Haruka since they were friends. Her thoughts were interrupted when she realized Haruka was still chasing her. She cracked her whip towards Haruka again and leapt back down, readying herself.

Haruka kept chasing, gaining ground every second. Kasuge cracked her whip at her and she put up her arms to take the damage. It struck and she could feel warm blood run down her forearms. She was inches away now. She hit four of her chakra points on her back. She then landed on a branch and waited for her attack to take effect.

Kasuga cried as she felt a bad sting on her back. She couldn't use jutsu for a while now and it burned. She forced herself to get up as she ate her food pill. It felt good as she regained her strength. In case Haruka charged at her while she was eating, she leapt up and cracked her whip towards Haruka again.

Haruka again put up her arms to withstand the brute force from the whip. The previously bleeding had stopped but this whip had broken them back open and caused new wounds. She winced. She flipped and brought down her leg, aiming at Kasuga's head. while her guard was down.

Kasuga put her hands up by her head and was knocked back a lot from the leg/arm impact. She decided to use a jutsu her teammate taught her.
"Strength of the Mountain," she muttered as she felt her chakra focusing on her strength force. She focused it into her whip also and she cracked her whip at Haruka and she sped towards her, ready to fight.

"Crud..." Haruka mumbled. She was running out of chakra and her strength was low. In one last desterate attempt, she summoned the last of her chakra and yell, "Fire style, Pheonix Flower Jutsu!" The large wall of flames came speeding at Kasuga just as fast as she was aproaching her.

Kasuga blocked as she tried dodging the rain of flowers. Of course, she got hit, but since she was focused on trying to hit Haruka, she tried paying it no heed since she had boosted strength. It hurt, a lot, but she kept running, throwing kunai and cracking her whip on the way.

Haruka was exaguasted. She collapsed on the branch she was standing on. She feld kunai sink into her leg and arm and the sting of a whip. But she didn't care. She was just glad to be lying down. Slowly her eyes began to close and she fell asleep.

Kasuga's strength of the mountain jutsu wore off soon after that and she lost all her chakra since it took so much. She passed out a little ways after Haruka and closed her eyes.

Haruka's eyes slowly started to open and she felt alot better than before. Her wounds still hurt and she was sore enough that she didn't want to move. She could see Kasuga lying unconcious. "A worthy... opponent." she whispered to herself. "I am.. proud to call you... my teammate..." And she slipped back into and unconcious rest
