"Sounds good." Haruka didn't want to protest. The hill was fine with her. She tried to cheer herself up, but proved unsucessful. So she faked a grin. "I've never been to the hill. Hard to believe sometimes that i've lived here for 9 years." She forced a laugh.

Kasuga sighed, "Don't worry, we can vent our pasts together when we reach the hill," she walked along with Haruka. (Hill) Kasuga looked at Haruka, "I'll tell you my past if you want first," she offered, she was almost convinced that they weren't that different.

"Thanks, I'd feel much more comfortable that way." Haruka sat down in the grass and looked at the passing clouds, waiting for Kasuga to begin her own lifes story.

(OOC: It's alright, there wasn't really much you could do, lol) Kasuga took a deep breath and began, "I came from another village and I had a pretty good family; most people would consider it 'The Good Life' and I was happy," she said, "until my little brother became a prodigy; he could beat me in a spar five minutes tops using Taijutsu and a little ninjutsu; my family was very big in the Taijutsu department," she explained, "they worshipped him it seems; it seemed like everytime they looked at me, they would tell me to get better in Taijutsu and completely ignore me afterwards; I just couldn't do Taijutsu, I loved Genjutsu, but shunned me everytime I practiced it," she kept saying, "eventually, I got worse while he got better and the time to beat me in a Taijutsu match was getting shorter an shorter and everyone called me a failure and a weakling; they were a very strict family and wanted me to become a prodigy and a master at Taijutsu along with my brother; heck they even were going to make me marry a Taijutsu master!" Kasuga vented, "I stood up to them and told them I wasn't perfect and that I could make choices also on my own and I confessed to them about my whip and my Genjutsu; they didn't understand of course and they abandoned me soon after that, making me forced to leave the village and throw away my forehead protector," she looked at Haruka, "I went from village to village after that, getting a little stronger each time I came and left; I then came across Leaf village and I fell in love with it; I decided to settle down here and I studied and became stronger than I ever felt; I could even practice whatever I wanted with nothing holding me back," Kasuga was almost done, "and I became a chuunin and now I'm here, content with my life and getting stronger; I've hated my family ever since and I never want to go back even if they welcome me with open arms," Kasuga finished and waited for Haruka to say something. She sighed, she didn't feel any regret telling her teammate this; she was surprised that that was the case.

When Kasuga had finished, i came into realization for her that things could be much worst. She felt guilty for groveling in her own self pity. "Okay, it's only far that i tell you my story now." Haruka started, laying out some bird seed for Kikia real quick, "You see, i grew up in the Land of Tea, with my older sister, my mother and father." she began, "We had a good life, father was a successful glassmaker, my mother a skilled homemaker. But then she died when i was four." Haruka drew her fingers around in the grass, "My father practically went insane. A year later, he said he couldn't even bare to look at us anymore, that we were too much like my mother. So... he sold us to a traveling merchant. He needed the extra money beacuse his bussiness had all but disappeared after mother's death. I was sold to a house hold here in the village, and was separated from my sister. The only thing i know about her where abouts is that she's somewhere in the Land of Sound." Haruka looked up at the clouds again, "I worked in that house for seven long years, until Mabuki sensai came along. He saved me, Kasuga, and i owe him my life and loyalty for it. I became a ninja so that one day, i could go out on my own and find my older sister. " Haruka finished. She felt much better having gotten her own past off her chest. "Thanks for listening Kasuga, i owe you one." she added real quick.

Kasuga looked at her with, realizing they weren't that much different at all, "I'll help you find your sister," she said, feeling sorry for Haruka at the same time, "Thanks for listening to my past too; it means a lot to me, Haruka," Kasuga smiled, genuinely smiled in a long time. She actually met someone that she would probably be teammates and best friends with for a long time. She was now speechless as she looked at Haruka.

"Thanks, i appreciate the help." Haruka smiled back, feeling like her old happy self again. Noticing that Kasuga was just staring at her now she added, "What are you staring at? Is there a bug on my face, or something?"

"Nah, I'm just thinking," Kasuga looked at the view, feeling relaxed, "wow, that was a big heart-to-heart talk," she commented as she stood up.

"Yeah, I'm happy that we went for ramen also," Kasuga said, she felt like Haruka understood her and accepted her for being disowned and a previous failure. She was surprised at this and had never really experienced true friendship before, "you know, it's very hard for me to get close to people in friendships, but, with you, it's different," Kasuga confessed, feeling very weird that she was being emotional.

Haruka smiled, "Well, same here. I've always thought that if i got to close to someone, they were be taken away from me. That's what happened with my sister, my mother, and all my old friends."

"I feel your pain," Kasuga said, "but I will try my hardest to try and protect you, me and Santo because we're friends and teammates and that's all that matters," Kasuga smiled. She never knew she could ever have close friends like Haruka and Santo.

"Dido! There's no doubt about it." She held out her hand, "Friends for life?" she asked hoping for the answer she was hoping for.

Kasuga smiled, "Friends for life," she held out her hand and shook Haruka's hand. She had never felt so secure and happy with her life before and how she actually made a true friend.
