@newbie welcome messages - when i first joined i got like....over 9000 (meme lol) welcomes - new people now are lucky if they get 1.
I always try to Pm the newbies but occassionally, especialy if a few joined up at once, they tend to slip through

@rping - i know im guilty of not RPing as much but thats because its hard enough keeping track of the RPs im doing atm.
I have to constantly apologise to Kira for not replying to our RP sooner but as i said, i have a lot of real life problems at the moment meaning that when i do get the chance to log in, i only have time to sift through my PMs and deal with queries (as it stands, i have 645 Pms in my inbox - i last emptied them out at the beginning of August >.>)

*seriously sniffles* I feel so terrible. I like to RP, and I love love love love love Kenran. Kenran was my first ever RP site. Just, y'know, sometimes I get out of the RP-ing mood. Or I'm just lazy, I dunno. I really, really, really don't want Kenran to die, no matter how I've been acting. I'm also all timid and stuff when joining started RPs. I always feel like I'm intruding or something. =/
While being on Kenran I've learned so much, cool words(I love words!) how to be a better writer, awesome Naruto & Japanese stuff, and made so many friendships. Even though I just know these people through the Internets, I feel I love them as much as I do with my friends in real life. Kenran's grown so much, I just love it! I'm going to try my hardest to get activity up, and start more new RPs. I'll try my hardest to do my small part in making this a bustling, joyful site again!!
I've been on Kenran since August of 2007, over a year now, and It'd just kill me to see it die. I've joined a few other RP sites, so I'll ask if I can advertise Kenran on those sites, and maybe on Quizilla, and any other sites I can think of, where I can.
Lastly, I'm totally for that group RP. Anyone else interested?

there used to a feature to search by join date but proboards took that away so alas, unless i go through every single member (and i really dont want to) and take notes of join dates, im not sure who's the oldest.

As for the group idea.
I really like that.

Many RP's i take part in are group threads and have a storyline set out.

For example, the last one i took part in had the following story

"25 years after the canon story, the bijou have been sealed away in new hosts and akatsuki/pein defeated. naruto is now hokage and has a strong alliance with the kazekage gaara; Konoha and Suna's ties being so strong they are in talks to become one village.

However, the new hosts of the Kyuubi and Shukaku do not like this union and they join forces to bring about what Akatsuki never achieved....."

It worked out really well.
And new people were able to be worked into the story at any time (though they missed out on main roles).

The only problem would be posting; we'd have to work out a way for each person to be given a chance to post without someone jumping in front, but also keep the story moving without people who can't post as often.

One way this worked out was to have different people in different areas at once.

Eg. Haruka, Kakuta and I would be posting whilst their characters are in Suna whilst Shizuke, Santo and Kyo would be posting in Konoha - you'd define the different locations with color text.

Suna Rpers would post in red and Konoha in green ^^
But the main plot would be tied to one thread!

I followed. I also think it's good.
It wouldn't really be hard to uphold, and it wouldn't be something so incredibly complicated that anyone new wouldn't get it. Yay, Ikara!

I don't know about you all, but seeing as we're all mopey about kenran's dieing, and instead of weeding out the unactive members and making them post more, we're attempting to bring more members, to only add to the problem, seeing as if no one posts, they won't either. I've decided to give up on this site, see you guys around, it's been goodish...

That, and most of the inactive members can't even be reached, or no longer wish for the account or just FORGOT. Not hard.
