Sophira scanned the ocean waters with her electric-blue eyes, as she pushed her feet into the sand, getting colder the further they went down. She looked across the foggy ocean, hoping to see something. A boat... something... but only could she see fog. She sighed out of protest as she looked around the area. Even though most found this beach creepy, always being foggy and such, she found it rather peaceful and beautiful. She smiled slightly, brushing her sliver hair out of her eyes, but quickly dropped the smile when she heard someone.

The white sand bowed silently away under the pressure of Kaede's footstep. It was a dim morning; brisk and mysterious; peaceful in the most eerie way. Odd weather for the Wind country. The black cloak concealing her flapped vaguely in the meager breeze, and it was the only sign of her presence. Fog drifted about the rocks and the line of the shore; a rare trait of a desert's early morning.
She fiddled with the strap of kunai wrapped loosely about her waist, apprehensive of what might come of this new place. The Sand was far from the Leaf, and very different... but perhaps this would be where he was.
The flash of her golden eyes captured in a quick ray of new sun, she pulled tight the hood about her face. Either way, there was no turning back, now. Grabbing the nerve to move, Kaede stepped carefully onto a nearby boulder.
There was the sharp skid of a stone. Her foot had accidentally shifted a pebble resting on its father rock, the small thing tumbling away and landing innocently on the soft sand beneath it. Kaede looked up.

Sophira quickly made a glance, to a small pebble which softly hit the ground. Looking up, she saw a girl on a big boulder. She looked very pretty from what she could see. Sophira squinted her eyes slightly to get a better look past the morning's dim light. She swore she saw golden eyes sparkle, but wasn't too sure by the face that it was still slightly dark. Sophira frowned and turned her head back to the ocean, refusing to say the first word, afraid that this girl was her enemy.

Kaede's breath caught in her throat. There was someone on the beach, and that someone had just spotted her.
Kaede mentally smacked herself on the forehead. Stupid, stupid…
She scolded herself further when she realized that there was no way around the situation. The beach was the most out-of-the-way entrance to the main city, and to turn back would mean another day's travel. Any attempt to sneak past the mysterious spotter would also be dangerous; perhaps she would think Kaede and enemy. Perhaps Kaede was an enemy….
On the other hand, perhaps this girl was of the Sand. Maybe she knew of the rumors of evil… or maybe not. But an alliance was always a possibility… as long as Kaede didn't let her cover slip.
But still, she was not unwise. She was caught, and she knew it. Raising her voice to as loud as she dared, she called out, "Who are you?"

Sophira jumped slightly at the booming voice. She flipped her head around to sopt the girl once again. Using her thumb, Sophira moved her silver hair out of her eyes and looked up, straight at the girl. "My name is Sophira...Of The Sand Village, And you are?" Sophira's voice was so soft it was hardly heard over the ocean raging behind her.
It would be rude no to, not to mention that if she didn't answer, that girl would probably think she was suspicious.

Kaede remained silent for a moment as she looked upon the Sand girl. She was very beautiful, she decided, though a bit shocking. The only thing traditional about her was the length of her hair: short, as was custom in the desert. But the color was pale and her eyes were so vibrant, so blue, like stars amidst the misty sea.
Still, Kaede was not unwise. Appearances were nearly always deceiving, particularly in the ninja world. Beneath her cloak, her fingers slid over the metal at her belt again, prepared for any attack.
Sophira, she thought, of the Sand…
So the girl was a native.
And still the wish for an ally burned in the depths of Kaede's lonely heart…
But alone she was somewhat determined to stay, so she answered, so quietly, just "Kaede."
Her true name was a thing of the past.

"Pleasure to meet you, Kaede..." Sophira said once again in her soft tone. She continued to look at the girl for a moment, noticing her hand moving from indise her cloak. It was a slow movement, almost like she was ready to attack. Sophira turned her gaze back to the ocean, knowing that her dagger was tightly on her leg, easy for her to get at if she needed to defend herself. For now, Sophira was quite content by just looking at the ocean infront of her and hoped she wouldn't have to fight this girl.
'Kaede...' Sophira thought 'That name... sounds familour.'
"It is beautiful... isn't it?" Sophira suddenly said, her soft tone remained but he voice was a bit louder, like the changing waters before her. "The ocean, that is..." She said after a moments pause, not taking her eyes off the water. Sophira moved the hair out of her eyes once more, letting it blow behind her gracefully.

Beauty. The very word spoke its name. Kaede relaxed, oblivious to actually doing so, and stepped down from the rock, releasing her hold on the daggers. No one had spoken to her like that since Nori died. No one since had ever seemed to care about what was beautiful, or shared her simple, smallest thoughts on the ocean…
And the girl, Sophira. How still she stood at the water's edge, quieter than the wind, and also alone. Kaede knew that this was no enemy, and that maybe, for the first time in nearly a month, she was trusted.
Sophira did not turn, though Kaede knew that she was listening.
"I've never seen the ocean before," she said, gazing out to sea. "You're right; it's very beautiful."
She thought vaguely of the time Nori had promised to take her to sea. The memory stung, and she was reminded yet again of her purpose.
"Are you a ninja, then?"

"Yes..." Sophira said softly, turning slightly to get a look at this girl. The girl's clothes wern't a different thing to see in this village. Most wore cloaks because of the blowing sand in the village. Kaede had longer hair that cut at her shoulders. It wasn't a normal thing to see in the Sand Village, for most hair cuts of girl were slightly shorter. "... but if you are thinking of a fight, I refuse..." Sophira finished her sentance in a soft, but stern voice after a few seconds.

(OOC: Wah! You are so good at this rp thing! You’re such a good writer, Sophira!)
Kaede raised her eyebrows slightly. The sharpness of the girl’s voice had struck unexpectedly, dangerously.
“I’m not looking for a fight,” Kaede insisted. “Not with you, anyway. My business lies elsewhere.”
She was careful to remain still as Sophira’s eyes watched her, absorbing her with the quick precision of a skilled shinobi. She wondered how powerful they were in comparison… Obviously Sophira knew how to handle herself, thought Kaede, after the way she’d verbally defended herself in regards to a fight.
And she wondered also why she was alone, and so early in the morning.

(OOC: ha ha, thanks! Your really good as well! (Your better with bigger words, lol... I try and keep it to stuff I can spell XD)
Sophira watched this 'Kaede' person with intrest. 'What was she doing on this beach? Not many came here... especially not at this time.' Sophira raised her eyebrow, but let it drop slowly and quietly turned fully to face Kaede. "For this buisness... you decide to come to this beach?" Sophira asked in a questioning, soft and delicate tone. "Are you meeting with someone?" A crash of waves came from behind her, the wave banging into a pointed rock, water going upwards like a soaring halk and sprinkling the girls with icy water. Sophira didn't move her eyesight from Kaede, nor did she flinch.

Kaede set her jaw. She shook a bit of ocean spray from her cloak and closed her eyes, thinking. Her business. Would Sophira understand? Would she turn her in? Would she even recognize who Kaede really was once she heard the whole story?
No; not if the whole story wasn't told.
"More like looking for someone," Kaede said carefully. "I've… heard rumors. I've heard that he is near—uh… inside—your village."
She paused and looked to the ground. "It's necessary that I find this person very soon. I've been—"
Kaede stopped short. She was about to finish "away for a long time." No need to be suspicious. Right now she needed an ally, not another adversary.

Sophira tucked her silver hair behind her ear carefully, listening to the words of Kaede. "Who are you looking for?" She asked softly. She figured she could help... maybe. It kind of depended who it was. Sophira didn't know everyone in the village... nor did she plan to.

Kaede opened her eyes and looked up to face Sophira. This was it. An offering of assistance. One step closer to a suddenly more plausible goal. Kaede exhaled and took a quick, guarding look around her surroundings.
"Okay, Sophira, here's the deal," she said quietly. "If you truly want to trust me as much as I want to trust you, then take me into the Hidden Sand. Find a place—a place where we wouldn't be noticed—and I'll tell you what you want to know. In return, you will offer me whatever information I ask of yourself, respecting, of course, your right to conceal whatever you'd like to remain unknown."
Kaede's look bore into Sophira's crystal eyes like a laser. "The quicker this happens, the better. What do you say?"

Sophira let the words brush over her like the calm sprinkles of salty mist from the ocean. She looked deep into Kaede's eyes, thinking the question through. Sophira turned her vision to the path behind Kaede that led to the village. It was a risky move, but Sophira was curious of what had to be kept so quiet. Sophira walked by Kaede silently, making no sound as her feet pressed against the sand. She walked a few steps and turned around once again.
"There is a small ally-way in a part of town no one goes to. We shouldn't be... bothered there." Sophira said in a quiet, almost creepy, tone. She was careful of what to say around this new person... for all she knew, this girl could lead her right into a trap.
