Tora was very blunt, as always. "Wow..That really sucks, doesn't it?" Then, she said "I still have my parents, though we're not really that close. My brother was really the only close person I had in my life." She smiled wistfully. "Now I only have Rai." Rai mewed at the sound of his name. Tora looked at her kitty. 'Though sometimes he's more trouble than he's worth...,' she though. But she smiled softly anyway, and silently started tracing little pictures in the dirt. Rai mewed, and swiftly leaped over to Tora. He brushed up against her, and she pet him absentmindedly.

Hiroji nodded. "Well at least you still have your parents." he said, wat ching her trace the pictures in the dirt. Hiroji felt that he was slowly warming up to Tora and her kitty, Rai. "Tora?" Hiroji asked. "You know you're lucky. You have a lot of people in your life, compaired to me. In which, I have...no one." Hiroji chuckled slightly. "You've got both your arms, your parents, and your kitty, Rai." he said. "I have one arm, no parents, and no real companions that are pretty much always there." he looked down a bit. 'But I think I made a new friend today.' he thought.

Tora shrugged. "Yeah, I suppose that makes me kind of lucky," she said. "But anyways, you should have someone. I have a few friends myself, but I know that you have at least two friends," she said, smiling a bit. She was getting used to Hiroji, must faster than she usually warms up to people. Tora's not really the most social when it comes to making friends. Rai spotted a chipmunk, and sunk low to the ground, never taking his eyes off it. He crept slowly toward it, and the unsuspecting chipmunk didn't notice. Rai pounced, and the chipmunk darted out of the way in the nick of time. Rai looked as disappointed as a kitty could get.

Hiroji shook his head, crossing his arms lightly on his lap. "Nope." he replied. "My only friend was my girlfriend, and since she was killed, I haven't made any new friends." Hiroji said, looking at Rai. "I've met people, but never really gotten to be close with them. Nor talked much with them." Hiroji fiddled through his medic-bag, looking for his water bottle. "To be truthful...you're the only person I've talked more than a few words at a time with." Hiroji found his water bottle and took a sip. Hiroji felt that this was an accomplishment.

Tora looked up at Hiroji. "Well, you have Rai and me, don't you?," she asked with a very s "We're now officially friends, I suppose." Rai mewed in agreement, brushing up against Hiroji. "Rai seems to like you a lot..." Tora was a bit surprised at herself. She usually wasn't this friendly, especially with people she had just met. She was rather unfriendly, even going as far as antisocial. But lately, Tora felt that she'd been getting better at connecting with people, finally letting some of the loneliness from her brother leaving slip away. Tora sighed, playing with Rai's tail again.

Hiroji looked at Rai and smiled his crooked little smile. "Yeah." Hiroji said, a bigger smile peeking out. "You and Rai are pretty much my only real friends." Hiroji's cheeks went slightly pink as he realized he had admitted his thoughts. "I guess I have to start talking more now. This sure shows that if I talk more, I could make more friends." Hiroji said, thinking this through a bit deeper. "Hey Tora? Are you not scared of my stub of an arm?" Hiroji asked. "I just realized that you are one of the only people who did scream and freak out about my arm."

Tora was mildly confused. "Why would I freak out about you having almost no arm?," she asked. Then she sniffed. "If people do, that's really rude, and stupid, and shallow of them." Tora looked pretty irritated by this fact. She sighed, trying not to let her temper get away from her. "I went out on an unfamiliar limb today, talking with someone I don't know. I guess it was a good thing, because I made a new friend," she said. She smiled slightly, as always. "It's not really that usual for me to make a new friend." Rai mewed, and leapt up onto Tora's shoulder, and making himself comfortable.

Hiroji looked slightly confused. "You really aren't?" Hiroji asked. "Most people freak out, some scream, and others ask me if it hurt." Hiroji said. "And it's not everyday I talk this much to one person." Hiroji said, his cheeks go pink as he rubbed the back of his head. "I guess I should be saying thank you for getting me to talk more, and for becoming my friend." Hiroji crawled over by Tora so he could pet Rai. "And thank you Rai. You're a very nice kitty." Hiroji smiled his crooked smile. "Hey Tora? Do you want to go grab a bite to eat?"

Tora shrugged. "I'm not one to pry and ask a lot of questions," she said. "Besides, it probably had hurt very much." Then Tora smiled slightly. "I rarely talk to people at all, it's just that Rai was being obnoxious and jumping on people he doesn't know." She shook her head slightly, scratching Rai lightly behind the ears. A favorite spot for most cats. "Yeah, sure, I go go for some food at the moment," Tora said, as her stomach growled slightly on cue. "I am a bit hungry, but not really for anything in particular. Where should we go?"

Hiroji stood up, adjusting his back and offering Tora his only hand up. "I don't know. Do you have a favourite place to eat?" Hiroji asked. "I'm not picky...I'll go pretty much anywhere and eat pretty much anything." Hiroji said. Hiroji's stomach grumbled and he blushed, not that use to having his stomach start grumbling in front of someone, especially not in front of a friend. "Or we could always just walk down and see if there's anywhere new down there." he suggested. "And maybe now that I've made a couple new friends people won't stare at me as much." Hiroji mumbled.

Tora looked uncertain, she wasn't used to someone asking her about her favorites. She's not a very picky person, she'll just find something she liked, or something with something she liked. "Ummm..," she started. "I think we'll do the whole walking and looking around thing," she said. "I don't really eat out much. But, if you want to pick, feel free!" Rai mewed, trying to put in his bit. Tora smiled. "Rai likes seafood the best, though. I can't have any pet fish with him around..." Rai mewed, smiling a cheeky little kitty grin.
