Amaya was walking around the Konoha. She was feeling somehow bored because none of her friends wasn't there with her. But as usual Amaya didn't bother with that. She was smiling her infamous grin and thinking about random things. She heard some people talking and laughing. Amaya smiled to herself. Suddenly she felt like singing. Amaya started to sing quietly while walking.

Amane walked with quick, deliberate paces, watching as her niece, who was a good four inches shorter, struggled to keep up. She smiled affectionately at Kyokki, but her mind wasn't really there.
"I'm glad you could come and visit, bachan," Kyokki was grinning. She hadn't realized just how much she had missed her ex-guardian. But as usual, the jonin missing nin's head seemed to be in the clouds. Kyokki wondered what she was thinking about now.
A stranger caught her eye. She was singing something, and Kyokki had a twinge of jealousy. Her own singing voice was horrible, and the stranger sounded wonderful.
Amane was pulled out of her pensive state by the sound of someone singing. She could see the envy written all over Kyokki's face, and she sighed. No matter how many times she had told her charge that she had plenty to be proud of, (Amane certainly couldn't write two four hundred page novels, even if they weren't published), the girl still wanted to be able to sing well. Which if Amane was honest with herself, Kyokki couldn't. But she wouldn't say it to her face.
Subconsciously, she started humming part of the same tune in her own soft alto.

Amaya felt someone was watching her. She stopped singing and looked around. Her eyes stopped on two girls, one tall and other a little shorter. Amaya caught a look from the taller one. She was looking at her strangely. Amaya looked back confusion all over her face. The smaller girl let out a bored sigh. Amaya thought for a minute, then decided to let it go. She studied the girls. The strangers were looking kinda nice, she decided. She approached them slowly while again smiling her grin. "Hi!" She called to girls and waited for an answer.

Amane nodded at the stranger, who was at least a good fourteen years younger than herself. She was probably only a few years younger than Kyokki, though.
"Mitsukai, Taiyuu-nichan, Semiko-chan, looks like you may be listening after all, then" she thought. Then again, it was their daughter and neice she was worried about, after all. "Kyokki finally seems to be settiling in, at least. Now if only I can find Tatsuta and her children..."
She turned to her niece and nodded towards the girl with a slight tilt of the head and a smile, granting her permission.
Kyokki smiled at her aunt, and walked over to the stranger. She introduced herself shyly.
"Hey, my name's Tenkiame Kyokki."

Amaya watched the girl walking closer to her. She introduced herself as Kyokki. Amaya looked into girl's eyes and smiled. "Nice to meet you Kyokki!" Said Amaya friendly. "I'm Ukito Amaya." She added well almost cried and reached out hand for Kyokki to shake it. "I might get a new friend." She thought to her self and her smile got even wider.

Kyokki blushed slightly.
"Hajime mashite," she said in a quiet voice, "It's nice to meet you. Man, it feels like I've said that a billion times this week, not to mention this month."
Seeing the odd look on Amaya-san's face, she explained, "I just moved here not quite a month ago."
Amane's brow creased as she tried to remember something.
"Amaya-san," she questioned, proving she had been listening after all, "You said your last name was Ukito? Does your family own the gift shop?"

Amaya's eyes widen in surprise when Amana mentioned the gift shop. She didn't think that someone would actually knew her gift shop. Amana surprised her pleasantly and that made Amaya liking her even more.
She nodded her head enthusiastically and said. "You're right Amana-san. My grandparents own a gift shop. It's rather small." She said while smiling proudly. "I work there sometimes." She added with no reason at all. "You said you're new in town Kyokki-san? Than that's must be the reason why I haven't seen you before." Amaya said more to herself as to Kyokki. She smiled again and looked at the shy girl.

"Yeah, probably," Kyokki agreed, "but we've been here as tourists several times. That's why Amane-bachan knows your giftshop. No offense, but I kind of forgot. I've got a memory worse than a Sunagakure summer for a Fuyu no Kuni citizen."
"I only remember the good ones," Amane said, with a hint of a smile, "and as for Kyokki, it's true. She'd loose her head if it wasn't attached to her neck. Dead serious."

Amaya sweat-dropped at Amane's comment. "Then I have more in common with Kyokki-san than I thought." She said to herself. "I would probably lost my head too." Then she remembered something else. "Thanks for compliment, Amane-san!" She yelled exactingly. Amaya smiled for no particular reason. "Not many people knows about the gift shop, so there is nothing to offend." She assured Kyokki.

"Bachan, that's not fair!" Kyokki protested, and then turned to Amaya-san.
"See how mean she is?" She asked jokingly with a small laugh."Someday somebody's going to have to point out that I got the genes from her side of the family, same as she did."
Amane rolled her eyes at the banter, then shifted her attention back to Amaya.
"I happened to like you shop. It has more... integrity to it, even if it makes me feel my mother's age to use that wording.

Amaya chuckled lightly when she listened to their conversation. "They are kinda alike." She thought. "But then again so different." She added. She shook her head and turned her attention back on Amane- san. "You are very kind Amane-san." She said and bowed. "She kinda reminds me on my cousin Tako. Serious and polite. Well, she isn't shy that's for sure." She said to herself.

Kyokki couldn't help but notice how much calmer her Aunt seemed today than normal. She kept smiling like some normally cold goddess who had been pacified and suddenly turned benevolent. She kept smiling, which wasn't usual for her.
Kyokki wasn't going to question this spell, however. She liked it when her Aunt was more friendly toward others, and as strange as it sounded, she tended to worry about her.
Amane acknowledged Ayama's coment with a slight nod.

Amaya watched slightly confused. Kyokki was sending weird looks, but not at Amaya but at her aunt. Amaya blinked and shook her head. "I bet Tako was looking at me like this for about thousand times." She smiled at her own comment then turned her attention back to Amane and Kyokki. "Oh, I almost forgot. How do you like it here in Konoha?" She asked and smiled.

"I don't live here," Amane said and jerked her head at Kyokki, "but you could ask her."
"It's...different from home, I guess. But then home was the Hi no Kuni apartment just as much as it was Ame. I thin the weirdest thing is just the idea of staying in one place for such a long time. But since I have to choose a place to make a permanent home without Bachan, I'm really glad it's Konoha. people are friendlier here than say, Kiri or Yuki."

"Sure, what did you have in mind?" Kyokki asked, at the same time as Amane started to talk. Kyokki's voice dropped away.
"It's alright, Amaya-san. Kyokki-chan, are you sure you want an old lady like me accompanying you?"
"Don't I always, Bachan? And as I'm not calling you Baachan instead of bachan, you're not an old Lady."
"Like I was saying, do you have anything in particular in mind?"
