A girl with a smile

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

"A pleasure," Amane said serenely- not cool excatly, but not warm either. Her blue-green gaze focused on the man with a subtle intesity, measuring him up. After a few long moments. when she had decided he wasn't an immediate threat, she gently nudged Kyokki.

"Nice to meet you, Ukito-san. Like amaya-san said, I'm Kyokki, and this is my aunt, Amane."

[amaya]

Amaya smiled as she turned her gaze to her older brother.

Kai simply nodded. He observed the girls for a moment or so, his face not showing any emotions. His eyes rested on Amane then wandered to Kyokki. He decided they looked nice enough and besides Amaya seemed to like them.

"Nice to meet you too, Kyokki-san and Amane-san." His voice was neutral but he still had small smile on his face.
"So you met my little sister?" He asked.

Amaya made a grimace at him. "Kai! I'm not little anymore!" She exclaimed, narrowing her eyebrows at him.

Kai didn't replay, instead just patted her on head.

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

Kyokki smiled sympatheticlly, but couldn't help laughing a little.

"Boy do I know how that feels," she grinned.

A truer smile played out across Amane's face. After all, she regarded her teenage niece as something imbetween a younger sister and a daughter. How many times had Kyokki told her the same thing?

"Your sister has been very kind to us."

[amaya]

Amaya pouted a little, but she wasn't seriously mad. She grinned at Kyokki. "Older brother, what else can I say?"

Kai's lips twitched but he nodded seriously. "It's nice to hear Amaya knows her manners." He was half joking, but he meant it anyways.

Amaya just rolled her eyes at him. She knew as well as him, he was joking. She didn't say anything.

Kai watched Amaya from the corner of eyes. As he realized she won't say anything he decided to speak. "Did you already showed them around?" He asked his sister.

Amaya nodded like a good girl would do. "I took them at the market or whatever that place is called."

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

"Been there, done that," Amane agreed, remembering her own older siblings- three brothers and two sisters. Kyokki's father, Taiyuu, had been epecially interested in filing in the over-protective big brother role.

She examined Kai. She guessed he was about 26, maybe 25, and so was at least four years younger than her. He was probably a high-ranking ninja as well. She'd have to be careful not to let anything slip.

Kyokki held up her soda bottle.

"We just were getting something to eat, actually. Amane-bachan and I've been to the village a lot of times before I moved here, but we'd never been to the market, or whatever, before."

[amaya]

Kai caught Amane's glancing at him and looked toward her. He studied her face then turned back to Kyokki. Amane seemed like strong person, both physically and mentally. Kyokki on the other hand looked very talented but a bit unsure into her own abilities.
He made a guess that Amane is 'the leader' while Kyokki is the follower. But Kai could tell there was something about Amane which made him thinking about her.

Amaya watched her brother with slight interest. "I already asked them that question." She told him smirking knowingly.

Kai shrugged. "I wasn't here so I can't really tell. Besides no wonder I've never met you before, I'm not a lot in this village."

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

"Kyokki's my niece, my oldest brother's child. I'm just visiting her today. But I'll admit you do have a pretty nice village. More friendly than Takigakure or Kirigakure, that's for sure. You a traveler?"

"Bachan and I've been traveling for years," Kyokki offered with a smile, "From one village to the nesxt, and even to counties with out any ninja of their own. That was a little weird, I have to say."

[amaya]

Amaya looked at Kyokki wide-eyed. "A village without ninjas? This must be so..." She stopped, trying to remember not so harsh word as weird to express her astonishment. "Different." She finished, pleased with her own selection of word.

Kai didn't look surprised at all. He saw many things in his life even though he was pretty young he learned during his traveling nothing isn't quite impossible. "I must say I've never been to place like that, but I'm sure it must be good experience." He exclaimed and looked at Kyokki again. "She is smart for her age." He thought not being aware she was just about seven maybe eight years younger than him.

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

"It was stange," Amane agreed, "but you get used to it. When Kyokki and I first moved to Kuni no Kinu we were shocked at the lack of shinobi. Ninja from Suna and Konoha and Ame and everywhere else were constantly traveling through the country, of course, but there wasn't and actual village. We got strange looks."

"Yeah, after- well, I moved there when I was barely 13 and I'm 18 in August, so- after four, almost five years in a place, you get used to it. There's certianly less fights."

[amaya]

Kai shrugged. "I guess so. I can't really tell since I only stayed in Konoha for longer period of time." He stopped another person caught his look. Kai's muscles tensed but a cat appeared form the corner. Quicker, than an eye could see, Kai's stage turned back to normal. "Sorry about that, but with all traveling I became quite suspicious." He apologized.

"Aw, what a cute cat!" Amaya let out a cry and rushed over to a cat. She keeled besides the animal and patted it on its head. Cat meowed and purred loudly. Amaya's smile widen.
