Hideaki coughed, pushing his chair in closer to the bar. He tapped his fingers gently on the bartop as he waited on Ikara; she'd text him to inform him she'd gotten held up and she'd be 20 minutes late. For reasons unbeknown to him, Hideaki still felt he had to turn up early which left him with quite a lonesome wait.
He looked in the reflective surface of a drinks dispenser to check his hair, hoping it hadn't returned to it's unruly, unkempt ways.
Can i get you a drink? the bartender asked.
"Uh, just a mineral water for me just now," he replied, checking his watch; he didn't want to be drunk before his date had even started. It would be nothing but a bad impression.
He felt kind of awkward going on a date with Ikara. Yes he had been the one to ask her out but he had delussions of paranoia that people would accuse him of being a pervert. She was of a legal age and he was only 3 years older but her young looks made it seem so much more suspicious.

Ikara pushed her hair behind her ears as she rushed to find her room key. She'd threw it carelessly to the bottom of her bed and now she couldn't find it. There was no way she'd be able to go if she couldn't get back into her room at night and there was no chance that she'd ask to crash at Hideaki's place - she'd just seem desperate then.
She pushed her hand deeper behind the bed and felt something jingle between her fingers.
"Gotcha...." She cheered through gritted teeth, looping the keychain around her finger.
A quick check in the mirror and she was ready, at last, to go.
She re-adjusted the pink bow clip that sat in her blonde fringe and ran a comb through her short blonde locks one last time.
Adjusting her white top, the black buckles and laces crisscrossing across the corset-ed front, she ran out the door.
For the first time in what seemed like years, she was wearing a skirt which made it awkward to run in. She felt it appropriate to make somewhat of an effort with her appearance so had chosen a suitable gothic-lolita inspired black and white skirt with a matching spaghetti-strap top. Her white ninja sandals were currently the only shoes she had brought with her so she was stuck with them.
Deciding the fastest way to her destination was by heading up, she bounded onto a roof and leapt from rooftop to rooftop till she landed directly above the Ramen bar.
Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted the familiar auburn hair of her date and found herself blushing slightly; she hadn't meant to be so late.

Hideaki heard a quiet thump above him; his hearing had always been very precise and it was one of those advantages that would have aided him if he had chosen to become a ninja.
"I'm down here," he smiled contently, knowing exactly who it was.
"Thought you weren't coming for a minute," he joked playfully, pushing himself off the stool and walking outside the bar, looking up onto the roof.
"Jump down, i'll catch you!" He offered, putting his arms out ready to catch his young, female companion.
