Keiko stared at the faint outline of the nest on her sketch paper silently. "Ugh," was what she said.
She'd been in the tree for a little over an hour, and already she'd manage to waste several sheets of paper on a stupid drawing of a bird's nest. Keiko tried to fix something, before growling and ripping the sheet out of the book. She crumpled it up and threw it at the ground, aiming her anger at the poor Earth.
As she did this, she noticed 5 other crumpled up balls of paper on the ground, and decided to pick them up. She sigh, shoved to book in her pack and jumped down from the limb. She bent and picked up the balls of paper and also shoved them into the pack.

Katsuo walked through a path and noticed a girl. He thought about speaking to her but then he remembered what had happened earlier that morning.
~Flashback~
He had just finished training and laid down lazily. "What are you going to do for the rest of the day?", Yuchii asked while getting ready to do whatever. He shrugged and she sighed. "You should really get a girlfriend or something Katsuo..." he glared at her and replied, "I'll get a girlfriend when you can get a boyfriend." She smirked and said in a challenging tone, "Wanna bet?" He smirked back and said, "The first person to become a couple loses. If I win you have to give me twenty bucks. If you win I'll do whatever you want for a day." She shook his hand as her smirk grew wider. "Deal" they said at the same time.
~Flashback End~
He sighed and didn't realize he was standing at the same spot the whole time.

Keiko straightened up and sighed. She'd have to give up on the nest picture. It killed her to do so, but her stomach told her to forget it. It wanted food. She turned around.
She saw a guy looking kinda... lost. It was surprising, but Keiko didn't mind it. She did, however, make sure she could move her tongue before speaking. Last time she tried to talk to a somewhat good looking guy, she spluttered around the words, "Hi, I'm Keiko," She so did not want a flashback of that.
"Hello?" she said, trying to catch his attention.

Katsuo looked at Keiko confused for a moment before replying, "I';m Katsuo....pleased to meet you..."
He kept his cool as always but hoped some random fangirls wouldn't jump out and attack. When he talked to a lost girl once, all of the sudden fangirls jumped out and started attacking. He didn't want that to happen again so he sighed a bit when he didn't sense any other presences around.

Keiko smiled at him. He actually replied. The other guy decided to walk away with a weirded out look on his face. Keiko decided that this was progress. She took a few steps toward him and then said, "Hi. I'm Keiko,"
She almost offered her hand to shake, but she kind of got the feeling this guy wasn't to fond of her suddenly being in her path.

Katsuo shook her hand, lightly and replied, "I'm Katsuo..."
Normally, he would've gotten annoyed at the fact that someone had gotten into his path, but for some reason he didn't mind that Keiko was in his path.
He noticed he was a bit hungry from training with Yuchii before so he asked, "Do you want to get some food with me?"

Keiko smiled again. Now he was talking of food. Which was cool, as far as she was concerned.
"Sure," she answered. She glanced around, sweeping the area calmly. Keiko did this a lot, just out of paranoia. After wards she shrugged.
"Um, so where to?" she asked.

Katsuo shrugged and replied, "Wherever you want to go...it's my treat."
He grinned a bit and walked towards the path that would lead back into the Konoha streets, with his hands in his pockets.
It was always one of his mottos to do what the girls wanted and be nice to her...he followed it most of the time.

Keiko smiled nervously and nodded.
"Ok, then. Your treat,"
She followed him down the path to Konoha until they reached the village. It, of course, was still a bustling place even as the sun was setting. Keiko kept a look-out for any place that seemed worth the time of day, when she saw that they were getting close to one of her favorite tea houses.
"One of my favorite places is right there," she said, pointing at a small building in front of them. She led the way into the house and to a table for two. She sat down.
"So, um... Hi," she said. Then, realizing that that was entirely stupid, and that she'd already said that, she decided to ask, "So, what are you going to get?"

Katsuo sat down across from Keiko and shrugged.
He was never too picky about food he ate so he would basically et anything.
"I'm probably going to order ramen or dango or something since I never really care what I eat..." he replied. "What about you?" he asked.

Keiko also shrugged. "Dunno. I'm actually not that hungry, since I already at dinner. But an apple dumpling sounds good for dessert,"
Keiko was never one of the girls who starved herself. It was always like that, and probably be like that forever. When the Waiter came to her table, she placed her order and waited for Katsuo to do the same.

Katsuo ordered something small. He was never too hungry so he didn't need to eat much.
He ate quickly and quietly.
He was never one to talk or really strike up a conversation since he was never social.
He wouldn't talk unless he needed to and most of the time, he didn't.

Keiko couldn't help feeling that he was very quiet, and she wasn't too ecstatic about this. The silence was all too awkward for her, and so it was scary to be eating with him.
She finished her dessert quickly and pondered if she say anything to him. She wanted to, but she couldn't think of a question to save her life. She decided to stay quiet but at the end, she couldn't help it, and blurted out,
"Why are you so quiet?"

Katsuo shrugged. To be polite he answered "I just don't talk much I guess....there isn't really much of a reason..."
He finished eating quickly and paid the bill. "Why?" he asked afterwards to at least try to keep the conversation going.
He didn't like making other people feel awkward, because it transferred the feeling to him, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. He hated feeling awkward...it made him feel almost helpless.

Keiko shrugged as they walked out of the teahouse. She knew that she had asked him that question because it was the first thing that came to mind, and it save her from the awkward silence, but she wasn't going to tell him that.
"Uhm, I dunno. I just wonder silly things like that. Plus, I've never done too well in silent moments; I tend to do stupi--"
She really meant to finish her sentence, but she happened to trip on a little root sticking out of the ground. She fell forward, and threw out her hands to catch herself.
