Kita glanced at his watch. Just after 7pm. He was early, around an hour early to be exact.
"Well i suppose theres a first for everything..." he chuckled to himself and pulled out his ipod, slipping it into the sheer white speaker system.
Scrolling through the tracklist, he decided something mellow was needed for now and settled on Everything Must Go. Nothing like a bit of Manic Street Preachers to help him chill out a little.
Slouching down against a tree, he slowly dropped to the ground and sat down, legs spread out in front of him.
"Oh well.....looks like i'll be alone for a while...." He slipped his darkened glasses down his head, resting them on the bridge of his nose.
He had, for once, decided to dress up for once. The party wasn't celebrating anythign in particular and if he was honest, he had no idea who was throwing it. But a party was a party and as long as there was music, booze and good banter, he was happy. His blue jeans hung loosely on the lower part of his hips, revealing his tanned skin on his abs and the silver hoop through his navel. He pushed the sleeves of his dark blue shirt up to his elbows, closing his eyes.
He hoped Kaori would come along. It had been ages since he'd seen her and they hadn't had a date or a night out in ages.

Mayaku slowly made her way through the woods, rather unsure of where she was going. Being new to the village, she didn't know her way around quite that well. All she really knew was that a party was supposed to be going on, and she refused to miss it.
The soft sound of music reached her ears. She stopped to listen, trying to determine which direction the sound was coming from. "Sounds like it's coming from that way." she thought to herself, looking a bit to her left. She listened harder, then nodded. "Definitely left." With her mind made up, she set of in the direction of the music, hoping she didn't get herself lost again.
Before too long, she found herself entering a small clearing. No one else was there, save for one person whom she didn't know. "Fantastic." she thought bitterly. She had never liked being alone with people she didn't know. It was awkward, and it made her feel rather out of place. She shook her head and shrugged it off. Once the party got started, she would feel better. Lots of people and good music always seemed to take the edge off an awkward situation. She could tough it out till then.
She looked up over her head, searching for a tree branch that could support her weight. Once she found a likely candidate, she climbed up onto the branch and leaned back against the tree's thick trunk. She pulled out a book and began to read.

Yuki was bouncing. He knew this was undignified and rather stupid but he couldn’t help it. Somebody had given him sugar. Lots and lots of sugar. Right now he was heading to a party that was being held in the woods. His little sister Chi was “sneaking” and following him. But in this case he didn’t care because someone had given him sugar. He made it there to find that he was really early and that there were only two people there.
He bounced into the clearing and shouted “HELLO EVERYONE!!!”

"HELLO EVERYONE!!!" Mayaku winced as the shout split the air. She looked up from her book to see a boy about her own age bouncing into the clearing. She giggled a bit and set her book aside. She moved forward on the branch, sliding away from the thick trunk. She allowed herself to fall backward and hang upside down. She looked over at him and gave him a friendly smile. "Hi there." she said. "Might as well try and meet some new people. It'll give me something to do until Nobieka gets here." she thought to herself.
Nobieka cursed violently as she pused yet another branch out of her way. Having spent most of her life in the desert, she had hated the woods to begin with. At this point, she was ready to set the whole forest ablaze. "Would probably be easier to find this stupid party if I did." she thought angrily. Parties. That was another thing she rather disliked. Loner that she was, the last place Nobieka wanted to be was amongst a bunch of people with loud music blasting in her ears. Had it been anyone else but Mayaku that had invited her, she wouldn't have even bothered to come. But being that Mayaku was her best friend, she was here, braving the two things she hated most. "I hope she appreciates what I had to go through to get here. Three days of travel and a hike through the woods. She's lucky I love her or else I'd kill her." she thought bitterly. She stopped a moment to look around. Hopelessly lost. "Cheese and rice! Everything looks the same here! How am I supposed to know where I'm even going?" she wondered. She sighed deeply and sat back against a tree, allowing herself to slide to the ground. A moment to think is what she needed. "A moment to think. Who am I kidding? I have about a snowball's chance in hell of finding my way out of here alive. Help is what I need. Oh well. I'll figure it out sooner or later."

"I'M YUKI!!! Someone gave me sugar!!! I’m really hyper!!!" Yuki gave a deep breath "want to know a secret?” he leaned over to whisper in her ear "my little sister followed me here. Her name is Chi!" Yuki looked around confusedly “I don’t know where she went though" Yuki took out a cherry lollypop, plopped down onto the ground and started sucking it contentedly.
Chi having gotten board and wondered off, heard someone crashing through the forest. She went to investigate the noise. She saw a girl flop down on the ground and do what she describes as pouting. She sneaked up behind the girl and jumped out and shouted “BOO!!!”

"I'M YUKI!!! Someone gave me sugar!!! I’m really hyper!!!" Mayaku jumped, surprised at the shouted introduction. For that instant, she lost all of her focus on the tree branch she was hanging from and slipped. A sharp pain shot up her arm as she hit the ground. She cursed mildly under her breath and picked herself up into a sitting position. She looked up at Yuki, who leaned over next to her ear. "Want to know a secret?” he whispered. Not giving her a chance to respond, he moved onto his next sentence. "My little sister followed me here. Her name is Chi!" He suddenly jerked up from his leaned over position and looked around. "I don’t know where she went though." he said, pulling out a cherry lollipop and plopping down next to her on the ground. Mayaku smiled slightly and then introduced herself. "I'm Mayaku. My friend Nobieka was supposed to meet me here, but I think she got lost." she said, laughing a bit. She pulled her long black hair over her shoulder and began to absent mindedly braid it.
Nobieka jumped as she heard a loud “BOO!!!” coming from behind her. She whipped around, pulling out a kunai as she did so. Her face dropped when she saw a young girl staring innocently back at her. She sighed heavily and slipped the kunai back into its pouch, returning to her sitting position. "Just ignore her and she'll go away." she thought. Much to her dismay, however, the girl stayed put, still staring at her. She fiddled with the hem of her shorts, trying her best to ignore the eyes boring into her back and get back to trying to figure out where she was. She finally let out an irritated sigh and turned back to the girl. "Is there something I can help you with?" she asked.

“Mayaku? Do you want a lollipop?” Yuki said holding out a lollipop “and don’t worry about your friend Nobieka, Chi’s probably found her by now.” Yuki yawned “Chi is good at that, finding lost things and lost people” he looked around tired now that he was starting to come down from the sugar high. “I got other candies if you don’t want a lolly.”
“Are you lost?” Chi said “come on” Chi tugged on Nobieka’s hand “I bet you are looking for the party right. Well come on” she started to pull Nobieka off towards the clearing. She turned around “well are you coming or not?”

“Mayaku? Do you want a lollipop?” Mayaku heard Yuki ask. She looked over at him to see him holding a lollipop out to her. She smiled and nodded, taking the candy from him. She unwrapped it and stuck it in her mouth. "This goes against everything my mother ever taught me. "You should never take candy from strangers Mayaku!" She'd have a stroke if she saw this." she thought laughing slightly to herself. “And don’t worry about your friend Nobieka, Chi’s probably found her by now,” Yuki said, “Chi is good at that, finding lost things and lost people.” Mayaku looked over at him curiously. "You think so?" she asked. "I hope so. She's probably super ticked off at me for making her come right about now." she thought.
“Are you lost?” the girl asked. Nobieka looked away, hating to admit that she was having any sort of problem. “I bet you are looking for the party right. Well come on.” the girl said, grabbing Nobieka's hand and tugging her along. Dumbfounded and shocked at first, Nobieka merely sat there. The girl turned to her and tugged her hand again. “Well are you coming or not?” she asked. Finally processing what was going on, Nobieka sttod up and began to follow behind her. She sighed and looked at the ground. "Thanks." she muttered, just loud enough for her rescuer to hear.

Kyo and Kiko pulled their friend Trinity by her arms gently towards the direction of the party. Trinity was ever-reluctant to go out. The girl was seventeen, for pete's sake, she needed to have a life! She only had a little while left of being single. Her engagement ring glittered on her finger. Kyo was nearly fifteen, she'd be fifteen in a couple days. Kiko, on the other hand, would turn sixteen in October. "Come on, Trinity!," Kiko exclaimed, expaserated. "Live a little!" Trinity shook her head, smiling slightly. Speaking in her always soft voice, she said, "I do live, Kiko. Just not in the way you think I should." The silver-haired girl rolled her eyes, and let go of Trinity's hand. Kyo did the same, crossing her arms. "Well, fine," Kyo said, rolling her burnt orange eyes and tossing her short black hair. "I'm just trying to get you to lighten up a little!" She huffed and stomped off in the direction of the faint music her ears picked up. Trinity shook her head, pushing a lock of her long, white hair behind her ear, and followed her quick-tempered friend, with Kiko in tow.
Farther behind this group, another scene similar to this was taking place.
"Tora! Come oooooonnnnn," Ai whined, tugging at the sleeve of her friend's shirt. Tora was taking her sweet time, just for spite. The not-very-social ninja was very, very reluctant to go. It was only for the sake of her peppy, blonde best friend that she was going at all. She was going to keep Ai from getting into a lot of trouble, the flirt that Ai was. "I told you, Ai, I'm not in the mood to party." "You're never in the mood to party, Tora, and now you will! Whether you like it or not!" Ai crossed her arms, and gave Tora a hard look. Tora rolled her eyes, picking up her kitty, Rai, from the ground and holding him close. She did not quicken her slow pace at all, but kept in the direction of the music beat.

“Nope I don’t think so” Yuki said around his lollipop “I know so.” He was silent for a moment “your friends gonna be upset most likely though. After all she has to be brought to the party by a ten year old” Yuki giggled a little. “This is going to be so much fun” he giggled again then he got up and started bouncing around in a poor imitation of dancing.
*with Chi (sorry color change is not working for me on my 'puter)*
Chi gave her a big grin. Then she took Nobieka’s hand and pulled her “the party’s this way. We better hurry before my brother notices I’m missing. I’m called Chi by the way. What’s your name?”

Kakuta sat there in the treetops wondering how he should enter if he should at all. he hadn't really been around younger people for a while now sense he was as good as exiled from his village. they would all have fun getting together. all sorts of people he guessed. but could he fit in with them? he reached back and patted his lute just to make sure that it was still there. he stood up and stretched out trying to remain soundless but also wanting to call out. he said to himself quietly his voice barely above a whisper. "another lone concert." he badly wanted to break his headband and give up his life as a ninja to try a normal life. he turned away from the party area. he knew he couldn't leave this life behind he was to remain in the shadows forever. doing the missions that fall through the cracks of the villages. helping those that couldn't pay for what they needed. he dearly wanted to forget all of that for one night and let loose just have some fun for once. he stopped he couldn't take the next step to leave and he wouldn't dare enter.

Kira reluctantly went to the party, on the condition that Katsuo carried her there. There was absolutely nothing romantic about the sight, especially since they only saw each as siblings. She hated being in a place where she barely knew the people. Then of course, the chance to force Katsuo to carry her piggy-back style was just too rare to give up. Despite her teenage looks, she was a child at heart.
Katsuo seemed to scowl angrily at everything in his line of vision. Although he absolutely despised parties, he was bribed to come. After all, Kutri agreed not to flirt with anyone for a week, leaving him free of any consequences from his friend's actions. Most of all, he couldn't understand why he was forced to give his younger sister figure a piggy back ride. He could almost feel the loss of his precious pride.
Kuri tried to hold back his laughter at the sight of the extremely grouchy Katsuo. His anger seemed almost animated, in a comical way. True, he agreed not to cause Katsuo any trouble for the last few days. That meant no flirting with random girls. It didn't kill him as much as he thought it would. Then of course, there was already a special girl in his mind. It'd been far too long since the last time he saw her, so he was hoping to accidentally bump into her at this party.
Miki nervously glanced around her. She never did well in crowds with her absolute since of shyness. more than anything, she wanted to abruptly turn around and run home, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Ren had seemed so happy when Miki decided to come, and with Miki's unrelenting sense of kindness, she wanted her friend to stay happy. Still, that didn't mean Miki couldn't wish to leave. It was times like these that she wished her slightly curled purple hair was longer and not in a side pony-tail, so she could hide her face somewhere.
Ren gently twirled her short blue hair, extremely happy that her most of her friends were able to come with her to the party one way or another. Of course, her main reason used to be because she desperately wanted to have a boyfriend. Now that she was dating someone, she only went to parties for the joy of it.

Mayaku laughed lightly as she watched Yuki bounce happily out into the middle of the clearing to dance. She pulled her book back out, once again attempting to become absorbed into its pages. No avail. She was too distracted now. The music hummed in her ears, bringing a slight smile to her face. When it came to music Mayaku wasn't picky. She loved music in all its different shapes and forms. She peeked over the top of her book, watching Yuki as he danced. She laughed lightly again. "Looks like fun. Might as well go out there and enjoy myself. Might look like an idiot while I do so, but at least I'll be having fun." she thought to herself. She set her book back to the side and sttod up, brushing the dirt from her pants. She walked out into the middle of the clearing and began to dance.
“The party’s this way. We better hurry before my brother notices I’m missing. I’m called Chi by the way. What’s your name?” Nobieka was barely listening. She heard just enough to catch the girl's introduction and question. "Nobieka." she replied. She followed close behind Chi, every few minutes felling a slight tug on her arm, urging her to speed up. It wasn't long before the two of them entered the small clearing. The buzz of music rang through the air, and she couldn't help but laugh when she noticed Mayaku out on the dance floor. "Nice dancing Mayu!" she called out to her friend.
"Nice dancing Mayu!" Mayaku heard the familiar voice over the music. She looked over to see Nobieka just entering the clearing. She waved excitedly and took off at a fast pace toward the silver-haired kunoichi. She heard the wind forced from Nobieka's lungs as she tackle-glomped her. "Thank you soooooo much for coming!" she said, squeezing Nobieka tightly. "Yeah yeah. I hope you appreciate what I had to go through to get here. Wind, rain, thunder, lightning, and the woods all within a few days. You're lucky I love you." Nobieka grumbled. Mayaku laughed. "You wouldn't be my best friend if you didn't love me." she said. She looked over at the small girl whom Nobieka had been following. "Thanks for finding her. She might have died of starvation by the time anyone else had gotten to her."

Kiko looked around, hoping to see someone she knew. She had left Trinity to be a quiet party-pooper by herself, and Kyo had gone dancing off with her almost constant energy flow. Suddenly, she spotted a familiar face, and her features lit up noticeably. She had seen a certain boy she had taken a liking to. "Kuri!," she shouted, bounding over to him and poking him sharply in the middle of the back, a greeting she enjoyed giving to people to see their reactions.
Trinity located herself subtly under a tree at the edge of the party, pulling out a novel from her backpack of wonders. Settling herself into a comfortable position, she pulled her white hair back into a messy bun, so it would not fall into her book and mess up her reading.
Kyo grinned, dancing her way around the party to the beat of unfamiliar music. Kyo was all smiles tonight, she really hadn't been to a good party lately. Last time she threw one herself... Well, that didn't go too well. She was planning a birthday bash, though, coming up for her fifteenth birthday. Kyo didn't really like to approach people, she preferred for someone else to start conversations, as she was kind of shy when it came to new people.
Tora leaned against a tree, glaring around at everyone and everything. She almost smiled as she saw another person having the same expression as she did. Obviously, Tora didn't want to be there, she hated social gatherings and anywhere there might be more people then her very few close friends. She continued to look sour, narrowing her eyes and flinching as some music with a cute, poppy beat came on. She sighed. "Why can't I just be somewhere else," she complained to herself aloud. "Stupid Ai....If she wasn't my best friend, I would not even be here."
Ai looked around, settling her gaze on a completely sour-looking boy who looked like he needed some cheering up. Never one to let someone be down at a party, she wandered over to him. "Why so glum, chum?," she asked him, subtly playing with her golden hair.

*YES!! I got her to laugh!!! Mission completed!!!* Yuki thought as he heard her laughter *and she is coming out to dance with me!* he heard someone shout “Nice dancing Mayu” and he turned to look at them *good Chi did fine Mayu’s friend*
“CHI!!!!” he shouted and ran up and scoped her into his arms and started swinging her around the dancing area.
Chi squealed and laughed as her brother did this. It had been far too long sense he had cut loose and had some fun. He finally set her down.
“You know mom will be really upset if she fines you missing” Yuki said seriously “and I should reprimand you for following me here” Chi looked downcast “but because you did help out someone and as long as you don’t get into trouble, I guess you can stay until mom comes and gets you”
Chi squealed happily and went off to play with Nobieka
