“Now I remember why I hate this place so much..” the young chunin muttered to herself as she continued her steps. “Its way too hot..” a heavy sigh escaped from her mouth. The 14 year old looked at the sky. She could feel the warmth of the sun lightly burning her pale skin. “I swear.. next time I’ll go somewhere else!” Hishime mumbled to herself and yawned. A few minutes later, the Kunoichi finally entered the village. ‘Wow..’ Hishime thought to herself. ‘This place has changed..’ Her green, cold eyes scanned the area. She immediately recognized a huge building in the middle of the village. “So that’s where the Kazekage lives..?” she asked herself. “Its getting darker..” Hishime muttered to herself as she looked at the sky. A smirk appeared on her face. ‘Good..’ she thought and jumped on the roof of the huge building. “I like it..” the girl whispered and sat down, now looking at the upcoming moon.

[ooc - mind if i join in? ] Gaara swung back on his chair, exhausted after a days work. He swivelled the chair around to face the balcony behind him; the moon lighting up the night sky and the stars like diamonds scattered across a velvety blanket. It was nights like this that reminded him why he loved this village so much. He pushed himself out of the chair and walked out onto the large veranda, leaning over and looking down below. He was just about to retire for the night when he heard a thump behind him; it was awfully similar to that of someone landing after jumping a great distance.
Gaara turned and looked up at the roof; the silhouette of a young girl clearly visible from where he was stood. He closed his eyes and made a seal; a gust of sand arose from the ground and he vanished, reappearing behind the seated girl in a cloud of sand and dust. "Can i help you?" He leaned over, whispering in her ear

(ooc: Not at all XP)
The 14 year old girl immediately jumped up after hearing the voice and turned around quickly. A deep sigh escaped her mouth. “Dang it.. don’t scare me like that..” she muttered under her breath, not caring if the boy would hear it or not. Hishime gave him her cold, usual look before replying with a cold voice. “No, you can’t.” The Kunoichi shoved her hands in the depths of her pockets, “Who are you?” she asked and looked into his eyes. ‘Never trust anyone.. especially the people you don’t know..’ her old Sensei’s voice rang in her head.

Gaara was taken aback at her response; she clearly had no idea who he was. Deciding to amuse himself by taunting her further, he stepped back. Using his sand, he pinned her hands and feet to the ground, trapping her. With her secure and unable to attack him, he towered over her, "I could have 30 elite Suna shinobi dispose of you just by clicking my fingers," he smirked, "Show a little more respect for your superiors...." He looked down on her; he wasn't really going to have his guards attack her if she wasn't hostile. The old him would have ripped her apart by now but these days, he was more open to trusting people and allowing them to prove themselves to him.

Hishime growled as she felt herself being pinned against the roof. ‘D*mn..’ she thought, hating the fact that she wasn’t able to move. Her anger raised at his words, “Make me..!” she replied rudely. “I will only show respect to the ones who deserve it!” The words seemed to escape her mouth before she knew it. “Go ahead. Call your 30 elite Shinobi.” The girl knew she would probably get in more trouble then she already was, but she didn’t care. It was not like she was afraid or something like that. Her eyes were defiantly showing her raising anger. Hishime glared at the boy and held her breath. ‘Kuso.. I should think before I talk..’ she thought, realizing she shouldn’t have said those things.

Gaara sighed. Clearly she wasn't going to listen. Knowing there was a guard on a balcony only a few feet away, he allowed some of his sand to fall off the roof infront of the guard. Within a few minutes, a team of shinobi encircled them, all armed with shuriken and kunai, ready to attack at a moments notice.
"Is everything ok Kazekage-dono?" One asked, looking fiercely at the girl.
"Everythings fine....our little visitor here doesn't seem to have any manners so i thought i'd best teach her a lesson...." He smiled, "And with my brother and sister, as well as the 3 Kiriyama's and the 2 Hyukari's out of town, i thought best to call my guards however....."
Gaara turned to face the head guard angrily, "I don't see why i should let you keep your jobs considering you let this one" he pointed at Hishime, "onto the roof of my office so freely. She could have been Akatsuki or Hidden Time and you let her traipse past and sit only a few feet above me!" He barked, clenching his fist. "just....go" He muttered; when, after a few minutes they still hadn't moved, he glared and barked louder "Now!"
Gaara turned back to his visitor and folded his arms, pressing a finger against his lip "What are we going to do with you? After all, i would consider this trespassing!"

“K-kazekage?” the black haired girl mumbled. If she wasn’t pinned against the roof, she would’ve slapped her forehead right now. “Akatsuki?” she muttered, looking up at the boy. “Listen dude, I didn’t know this was trespassing!” she somewhat yelled. Hishime closed her eyes in annoyance. “Kuso..” she whispered and opened her eyes again, now facing the ground. ‘I’m so d*mn stupid..’ she added in her head.“I am not a spy or something like that..” the chunin whispered, still facing the ground. She sighed, “Could you please let me go?” she asked and looked up. She still hated it to be polite like this, but she knew it would be better. ‘Wow, I’m only 20 minutes here and I’m already in trouble. Must be a new record.’ She thought to herself and grinned a little.

Gaara smiled and, satisfied that he had amused himself for the night, released her restraints. "I knew from the start you weren't a spy," He folded his arms, "Even the most abysmal of spies know that concealing yourself is of the utmost priority so for you to sit on my roof and make it so obvious by thumping, i knew you weren't a thread"
He walked to the edge of the roof and looked down, "Besides, I'd have taken care of you myself if you were; the guards are good for intimidation due to the number but their strength is sub-par...."

“Oh well..” she mumbled and stood up. “By the way, your technique’s pretty cool. I’ve never seen someone using sand.” She smirked a little at the thought. ‘Dude, he must be strong’ Hishime thought and her smirk grew wider. The Kunoichi shoved her hands in her pockets again and walked over to him.She sighed, enjoying the view of the village. “5 years..” she whispered, not realizing Gaara could hear her. ‘5 years..’ her voice echoed in her head.

"Thanks, but to be honest, it's more trouble than it's worth..." He recollected his capturing at the hands of Akatsuki and his brush with death. A small sadness filled his heart as he thought of Chiyo-san who had given her life to spare his.
Upon hearing her low but still audible whispers, Gaara turned to Hishime, "5 years since what?"

“It’s been almost 5 years..” she muttered, still looking at the village. A small smile appeared on her face. “Since I left..” she added and sighed. “I’ve missed this place so much...” The girl looked up to face the sky, letting the moonlight hit her pale skin. Her smile slowly changed into a grin. She sighed again before speaking. “My name's Hishime by the way..” she said, but didn’t turn to the boy.

Gaara listened to her intently, "So what made you return?" He asked inquisitively, "It certainly wasn't for the picturesque views or the vast beaches..." He smirked, looking out at the barren desertland.
The moonlight bathed the red and golden hues with silver, the village bustling with life below as people prepared to return home after a long days work.

“Well.. actually, I don’t know.” Hishime replied with a much calm and softer voice. Her words weren’t totally true, but she tried hard not to show it. ‘There’s no way I can tell him that..’ she thought and sat down. Hishime swung her legs over the edge of the roof, sitting in a more comfortable position. Her smile vanished as she saw all the people on the streets below them, she had never really liked it. “I just.. wanted to travel again, I guess..”

Gaara sensed she wasn't telling him the whole story and chose to respect her wishes and not pry further.
"Well whatever your reasons were, im sure Suna will be glad to have you back," He reassured her, smiling.
He stood at the edge of the roof, hands clasped behind his back and stared into the horizon. His brother and assisstant still hadn't returned and he was growing ever more concerned about their welfare but he daren't show it.
"Will you be sticking round long then?" He asked, his voice quavering slightly under his facade.

‘Glad? I don’t think so..’ she thought and sighed. “I don’t know. I’ll leave if I feel like it. I’ll go wherever the wind takes me.. like always.” she replied, a small smile crossed her face. “Maybe I’ll stay for a few days. Maybe 2 weeks. Who knows..” She closed her eyes and another sigh escaped from her mouth. ‘Who knows..’
She opened her eyes again, immediately feeling something wasn’t right. “Is there something wrong?” she asked and opened her eyes, her voice was totally serious. Hishime stood up and crossed her arms, turning her head to face him.
