Akiyo absorbed the extra information, taking note that if she was really a member of the Hyukari clan, then that meant she had a split personality. She also took note of the fact her set of eyes were different colors, too.
Her attention was brought back and focused on it's speaker, as Akiyo remembered that she had...well, she didn't know what to call Mabuki. She wouldn't call him a friend, nor would she call anyone a friend. She wasn't sure if she could call him an acquittance, since this would more than likely be the one and only time she ever would speak to him. Calling him a guest, seemed to weird for her liking, though.
She sighed, inaudibly, as she replied, "I'm fine...I was just thinking." She was a bit surprised that Mabuki even took the consideration to see if she was alright, but she thought that she was probably so unsocial and isolated that she didn't even know what common consideration, or politeness, was.
She didn't notice that he stopped walking, and nearly ran into him. Her thoughts continued, as she stared straight ahead. She concluded, that out of simple stubbornness, she wouldn't purposely go out of her way to search for Ikara or Kita. She'd let fate decide, although she wasn't even sure if she believed in things like fate.

Mabuki pulled up his eyebrows, examining her set features suspciously. She certainly did not look 'fine' as she had said she was.
But really! Who was he to be concerned for her? It was not like he had know her very long. Hell! It to him two years to even give a damn about his own students.
He shook it off, turning back to the street ahead of him. He flexed his hands, which were growing sweaty in his gloves, despite the fact that they were fingerless. Physical things very much helped to destract him from such thoughts.
He glanced back again. "Well, i do hope that that... imformtion was helpfull to you..." he said politely, trying to make some decent converstaion, for him at least.

Akiyo mumbled, "Yeah...thanks..." She didn't mean to sound so nice. She would've normally just nodded, but with her mind half focused on his words, she spoke without thinking much.
She started walking again, when she noticed Mabuki was trailing ahead of her. She had absolutely no clue why she was still walking with him, but she figured it'd be easier if she had any questions. There was a more than likely chance that if she left now, she would never see him ever again. In that scenario, than any questions she had would forever remain unanswered.
Thinking she should make at least a decent conversation, she asked, 'Where are you from?" By now, she thought it was obvious that she wasn't the kind of person who was social, nor someone who craved attention. That, and she was curious about his answer.
She was positive that he wasn't from Suna, but wherever he was from, Akiyo was wondered a bit about what other lands are like. After all, she'd never been to foreign lands-- for anything other than missions-- before, so it was natural that it peaked her curiosity.

Mabuki scratched his head. He was certain that he had already answered this question when she had asked him who he was. He tried to recap what he'd said in his head.
'Mabuki Susukia,' blah blah blah. Yes he was quite certain he had said he was from Konaha.
Then again, she probably had not been theroly listening. That would not surprise him in the least bit. She did seem a bit oblivious to other, or rather, just isolated and kept to herself.
So, he thought it fine to repeat the imformation. "Uh.. Konaha. Though, it was not my nation of origin. Just for the last 15 years of my life." he said with a slight shrug.

Akiyo nodded absentmindedly, only half listening. She was positive she was being rude, but she didn't have a clue about how to be polite. Well...not unless he was a higher ranking than her. In that case, she would bow down to show her respect, however, she'd rather not bow to a stranger.
For a split second, she considered visiting Konoha out of pure curiosity. She wondered if there was something special about the village. Deciding to get a few more facts, she mumbled, "So...what's Konoha like?" She wondered if Konoha was anything like Suna.

Mabuki was stunned by the fact that she seemed actually interesting. Not just acting, or forcing herself to ask questions to keep away silents, like may people he knew did.
As he adjusted the headband on his forehead, which was quite slick from the heat, he answered. "Well... it's wooded..." he said, not really sure how else to start. "Not hot all of the time, but the tempeture never seems to get above the 80's."
He sighed. "The cities pretty big anymore... i probably don't even know a tenth of the people that live there anymore. It seems like there's been alot of immigration or something..." shrugging, he added, "What of it?"

Akiyo let out a slight chuckle hearing his question. She wasn't sure why, but she found it amusing that he seemed so shocked that she was a bit curious. Wasn't it a natural human instinct to be curious. Perhaps, it was only her with her slightly twisted mind.
Finally, she took a deep breath,a bit exhausted from the conversation. She started staring at the sky before replying, "Nothing, just a bit curious. I think I would probably freeze in Konoha..." Although the word freeze may have been a bit too dramatic, she knew that she was so used to the constant heat, that average temperatures in Konoha would be a bit cold to her. Sure, she'd been around in other villages, but always to just complete missions. She never took the time to sit back and relax, noticing all the details.

Mabuki could not help but laugh at that comment. It was probably not an exageration either. If he was burning up in the Suna heat, she was be freezing to in Konaha, or would end up bundling up in a cacoon of coats and blankets.
"Well, i wouldn't be surprised if you were the only one burning a fire in the middle of August." he said laughingly. Strange. He had made a joke. Very out of character for him.
"Ok, quick question..." he added quickly, "Why are you still following me?" It seemed to be a lagitamate question to him.

Akiyo stopped walking at the question, seriously wondering why she was still here. She'd happily curl up on her bed at home, although, she wondered if maybe it was just that she was so into the conversation, she didn't realize it sooner.
She shrugged and answered, "Not really sure. Probably because everyone else you'd easily meet in Suna is so useless to talk to that you'd feel a loss in brain cells..." It was true though. she felt a serious loss of brain cells when she spoke to someone in Suna. She believed it was mostly because their words consisted of useless gossip. As soon as the words escaped those lips, the words went through one ear and out the other. To Akiyo, the words sounded like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and, more blah.
Finally deciding she was done with annoying Mabuki, she turned on her heel and walked in the opposite direction, hands in pockets. She waved for a split second, mumbling as usual, "Well, thanks for the decent conversation."
