(This is my older character, in case you need to know. He's 26. I haven't rped with him in a long time, so bare with me if my posts are... rusty.)
Mabuki sighed as he strolled, or rather sauntered, down the dirt-packed street of Sunagakure. Times were boring. All he ever seemed to do was go to meeting after meeting with the Konaha Jounin Council.
This week was the first 'vacation' he'd had in months. Years, actually. He had never really be one to go and 'relax.' He was really there on a meeting trip for Lady Hokage, but he'd had a lot of down time.
Just as the Lady had planned, he guessed. Every noticed he was more uptight than usual. Probably because of the hate and angry he was feeling towards Haruka's latest relationship with that boy, Tsukiyama... something-or-other. He pinched his nerve like no one could.
So, here he was, walking aimlessly with no clue of what to do to kill his free time. It was like the word 'fun' had completely vanished from his vocabulary.

Akiyo wondered through the streets of Suna, not the least bit interested. Everyone would think that after living in Suna for seventeen years straight, she'd want to go some places and travel for vacation.
In her case, she thought quite the opposite. She'd rather stay in Suna all her life and never travel than have to go to some foreign land. She absolutely despised travel. still, she had to travel for the sake of completing the missions she loved oh-so much.
She wondered a bit about what else caught her interests. She knew she despised crowds. She'd rather not have to meet new people. The only thing she knew she liked was completing missions.
She wondered why she wasn't locked up in her dark apartment right now. That was where she usually was when she didn't have any missions. She didn't stay on the topic for long.
Her thoughts quickly cleared as she looked at the crowds passing her. Some of the people stared at the young, red-headed, glaring girl. She watched as the people whispered and glanced at her.
She was used to all this by now. Still, she couldn't help but to seem like some showcase mannequin. She hated the attention.
Only one person caught her attention. It was a boy who looked like he was in his twenties. He didn't seem to be from Suna. He stood out from the crowd, simply because he was the only one who wasn't either staring at her. That or laughing and giggling over something she thought was absolutely pathetic. Mostly, he looked....hmm....she thought of what the word was to describe him. Grouchy? Yes, grouchy!
No, Akiyo wouldn't approach him. she could care less. She wasn't the type to willingly talk to people, nor comfort them if they seemed unhappy.

There was a slight outburst in the slight crowd in the street. Whispers, soft laughter, and other gestures of discontent movied like a wave. Much like it was being directed at a moving object.
His suspcion was confirmed when he spotted the head of red hair that stuck out of the normality of the mobs of people like a sore thumb. Obviously the object of attention at the moment. She seemed uncomfortable.
The girl was yonger, obviously well built, and seemed to be just as anitsocial as himself. he could not help but snicker at this. He averted his eyes as he did his best to cover the small smirk that was tugging at the corners of his mouth.
It was not often that he found others that perked interest in him. Usually everyone looked the same to him: stuck up, full of themselves, following a boring, daily routine.
When he managed to force his mouth back to it's normal east-to-west possitioning, he gave the girl a slight nod. He was not sure why. It just seemed to come out on its own.

Something about the boy kept Akiyo's attention on him. She guessed her attention was stuck on him, simply because he seemed like someone like her. Although she didn't know a thing about him, something made her believe that he was like her, personality wise. When she saw him nod at her, she raised an eyebrow, slightly nodding back. She averted him glance momentarily. Her different colored eyes swept through the passing crowd with a simple glare. To her, this was like a misanthrope's worst nightmare.
She felt disgusted at how the people could laugh so care freely. She knew she wasn't jealous of their happiness...just disgusted at how they laughed over ridiculous things. Maybe they considered her an abnormality, but that was what she hated about them the most. They shunned everything that wasn't like them. What confused her the most was that simple fact.
Was it that hard to accept others, whether or not they're like you?
The very notion tempted her to show just the tiniest bit of emotion by scowling in disgust.
She re-directed her glance to the boy, wondering what was so interesting about him.

Mabuki sighed in relief when the stranger actually returned his gesture, rather than freaking out. After all, they did not know eachother in the slightest. In fact, him even making any sort of formal contact with her, such as nodding his head, seemed to be completely out of the question once he considered it.
What a idiotic move, he thought, giving a deep sigh as she passed him, almost in relief. One person he would probably never have to see again, thank goodness.
But something brought back his attention to the girl, only to find that she was doing the same, and was staring directly back at him. He stiffened. It was too weird to be coinicidence.
Those eyes. Immediantly he recalled similar ones. He felt the urge to talk to her now, unbeknown to him. He walked back, trying to remain casual. "Ok, kid... i got to ask..." he said, his tone as flat and emotionless as ever. "You're of the Hyuukari clan, correct?"

Akiyo felt her lips press into a grim line. She was slightly annoyed to be called a 'kid', but something else bothered her. She was positive she'd never met this boy before, yet why would he ask if she was from the Hyukari clan? Sure, she knew her last name was Hyukari, but she never knew it was a clan. Even so, there were many things she didn't know about her past, who she was, or where she came from.
For a second, Akiyo contemplated carefully over her reply. She knew that giving out personnel information to a stranger could have disastrous consequences. If she answered yes, then he would possibly assault her when she was alone, for reasons unknown. If she answered no, well, she didn't think into that.
It seemed out of genuine curiosity when he asked whether she was from the Hyukari clan or not, but people could act, couldn't they? All shinobi had to act in certain situations, under certain circumstances. Even if she didn't know who he was, she could never drop her guard over outward appearances.
Her glare grew sharper as she chose her answer. She snapped in a soft voice that didn't suit her, "Who are you, and why do you want to know?" She was positive her attitude would give a bad first impression, but why should she care after spending a majority of her life being isolated?

Mabuki filled his cheeks with air before he let it all out in one somewhat annoyed sigh. She had every right to be defensive. He was unknown to her. And he really did not have any right to be asking her questions.
So, he figured a bit of imformation would be called for. "Mabuki Susukia, Jounin of Konahagakure..." he introduced robotically. He did it constantly it seemed. "Do you want my complete history or what?" he rolled his eyes.
"As for my question, it's just that i know for a fact that only the Hyukari clan has two different colored eyes." he continued to explain. "My student is aquainted with a pair of them... a brother and sister. I do believe they also live here in Suna..." he shrugged indifferently. "So, unless you're wearing colored contacts..." he waved his hand on, feeling no need to finish the sentence.
He almost never talked this much, unless he was stating a claim in a meeting or something, and even then it was annoying.

Akiyo felt tempted to scowl as he gave her his reply. It wasn't that she had anything against him personally, but she just despised having out personnel information.
Of course, in her point of view, what other choice did she have? She crossed her arms as she replied in a monotone voice, "I know my name's Hyukari, Akiyo. Whether I'm part of the Hyukari clan, or not, I don't know."
Already, she felt as if she gave out too much information. She had not the slightest clue as to what made her reluctant to tell people even simple information, such as her name.
Akiyo could understand if she didn't want to tell people that she didn't remember her past. She knew that if she said it, than people could try to tell her fibs, and attempt to deceive her into a false past.
She believed if people knew about the fact, it made her vulnerable to deceit.
She took note of the fact that he was from Konoha. She sent another glance through the crowd, noticing that people continued to stare at her...or perhaps Mabuki. She spent a second to notice her own appearance. Dark red hair that faded to a light red; a blue eye and a green eye; glaring; pale despite the amount of sunlight in Suna; wearing dark colors, despite the heat.
She scanned through the crowd, noticing the difference. They had eyes that were the same color, tan skin, and mostly light clothing. Most of them seemed happy and content. She was quite sure that not many of the villagers had ever been to Konoha, so they wouldn't say much about Mabuki. After all, they'd most likely never seen, or in some cases, remember what the Konoha people were like.
Akiyo could almost imagine what the people were gossiping about. 'Omigosh! Why's that guy hanging out with that creepy girl?' 'Hasn't it been said that the girl is, like, evil or something, since she kills innocent people?' 'That girl is so weird, is he being seen in pubic with her, because Konoha trends are like her's?'
She felt disgusted for even trying to analyze what their thoughts consisted of. Out of the corner of her eyes, she watched Mabuki, almost curious about what his reply would be.

Mabuki responded as he usually did to new imformations. A general nod of the head. Simple, but it did not require any talking so it suited him perfectly.
Behind that nod, however, an indept, conplex evaluation took place.
She knew her name, but was not sure if she belonged to the clan whose name she had; if there were even enough Hyukari's to make a clan, that was.
The traits were all present, eye color, red hair, much like that of the other girl he had seen, who, in all honestly to himself, scared him to death. Her personality change, the bad one at least, was murderous. Absolutely terrifying.
He looked back to Akiyo, feeling that he might as well speak, rather than be rude. "That's very interesting..." he said simply, slipping his hands in his pockets. "Well, thanks for going along with that... not often i talk to strangers..." His curiousity was done. He didn't need to bug her anymore. So he turned and began to walk away.

Akiyo shrugged as he decided to leave, but a sudden question popped into her mind. She was curious about Mabuki even knew about Hyukari's.
She stared at his back with a steady gaze, contemplating on whether or not to ask. Finally, she mumbled, "have you met a Hyukari before?"
She wasn't sure if he heard her or not, but it didn't matter to her. The question was simply something to satiate her curiosity. She never came across another Hyukari, before, but his words gave her the notion that there where others out there. Still, she didn't know what she would do if there were others. Most likely, she wouldn't bother searching. She felt that her family was something she left behind long ago.

Mabuki looked back over his shoulder when he heard the slightest mumble come out of the girl, to his surprise. He smirked. "Yes..." he said simply, turning back his head with a gentle wave of his hand. He continued to walk in the opposite direction of her.
"If you want to know more," he continued, almost mockingly. "Just follow me and i'll tell you..." He had high doubts that she would follow. After all, they hardly knew eachother, even now.
But if she wanted to know badly enough, perhaps she would. It was all much to her know. Follow, or remain in the dark.

Akiyo scowled angrily at Mabuki's mocking tone. She was tempted to smack him, but as much mas she'd love to, she wasn't feeling quite violent today.
Unfortunately for her, her curiosity told her to follow him.
She reluctantly trailed behind him, making sure to stay away far enough, so people wouldn't start talking.
She glared angrily at the people who looked at her and started whispering. She felt the pleasure of satisfaction as they gulped visibly and looked away, seeming nervous.
Akiyo finally stopped glaring at them, feeling bored of it by now. Instead, she glared at the back of Mabuki, wondering why he wouldn't just tell her what she wanted to know.

Mabuki smiled pleasantly for a change, glancing back before he started speaking again. "You are persistant, aren't you...?" he mumbled, more to himself than anything.
"Alright... fair enough." he added quickly to lead into his explaination. "Yes, i've met a Hyukari. A girl, she's impossible to actually describe physically. Her hair color seems to constantly change, what with dying."
He glanced back. "But she's the only person whose ever had the pure ability to strike complete and utter stiffening fear in me." he said, his voice dropping slightly, almost in embarassment. "Her two personalities are one that is... some what bubbily... and the other... murderous." he shivered. "She's the Kazekages dog... for reasons unbeknown to me..."
He pursed his lips. "Her name is Ikara Hyukari."

Akiyo raised an eyebrow, absorbing all the information she'd learned. So, Mabuki described the girl as someone who was like the Kazekage's dog.
She rolled her eyes. In her mind, she thought it was pretty pathetic to be lowered to the level of someone's dog. Although she'd never admit it, she had a slight infatuation with the Kazekage, but she hoped she would never stoop down to that level.
She smiled slightly at how Mabuki was at least honest about how he was afraid of 'Ikara', as he called her. She vaguely remembered hearing the name before, but abandoned the thought.
The main thing that caught her attention was that Ikara's last name was Hyukari. Akiyo refused,to willingly approach someone though. Something else that caught her attention was that he said Ikara had something like a split personality.
She thought back to her earliest memories. She remembered how people approached her when she tried to isolate herself, claiming she was cruel. They also claimed that she befriended them and now she was ignoring them. When they demanded a reason, Akiyo desperately tried to think about when she ever befriended them. When she couldn't find those memories, she believed they were lying and gave them the cold shoulder. Somehow, throughout the years she decided to skip all the drama and just decided to isolate herself.
Now she had doubts. She wondered if it was possible she had any relations to Ikara and also had a split personality.
She tilted her head slightly, letting her shaded red hair slip off her shoulders. Then, she thought carefully, wondering if something triggered personality changes.

When she did not respond, he went on. "And my student, Haruka Kunimitsu, knows her older brother, Kita." he continued, figuring that she deserved at much imformation that he knew. It didn't seem too important to him, but who knew what it could mean to her.
"He doesn't have a split personality. According to him it's only the female members of the clan that inherit that. But his eyes are different colors." he scratched his head, trying to remember what else Haruka had mentioned.
He failed at this. He looked back to Akiyo, curious as to why she had not yet spoken. Even a 'hmm' or an 'Oh' would have sufficed. "Hey, you alright? I'm i going to fast for you or something?" he asked, stopping to look at her.
