Akiyo's green and blue eyes scanned over the view before her. She was briefly satisfied with her mission success. She was able to complete her mission acting as the Akiyo with personality 1, making it seem as if she were a sweet, harmless girl, who was simply just completing her mission to escort a young woman here. As soon as they'd arrived at Kumo, they had departed with a simple good-bye as the woman joined her family.
It left Akiyo free to roam around in the village. It also let her free to revert to her usual personality 2. With simple "accidental" hits to the head, she could switch personalities easily, and although she knew little about this little secret, most of the time, the little trick worked in her favor.
Her eyes narrowed into a glare as she wandered emptily through the village. The views interested her very little, but if she was younger, the sights would've fascinated her. Now that she was only a few years from becoming a young adult, she had no time to waste squealing over such things.
She tied her red hair into a high ponytail using a crimson red ribbon, and remained as isolated as she could, by scaling tall buildings as often as she could, to avoid the public eye. Only when she saw no more buildings she could scale, she jumped from her current one, landing lightly on her feet. She allowed her bangs to hide her face and avoided making contact with anyone, for a slight fear of them finding a weakness through her eyes.
Her many years of isolation led her to believe that she couldn't afford any weaknesses and that she existed in this world, solely to serve her village until her death.
Her eyes flickered back and forth beneath her hair, scanning over the unfamiliar faces of the villagers.
Her lack of communication with others made it hard for her to keep a conversation going on. Little would she notice if someone thought of approaching her. All that would happen would be that she gets defensive. Already, her guard was up high.
She made her way through crowds of people, feeling disgusted as she squeezed through crowd after crowd. She absolutely despised crowds, and her preferences were, as always, to be isolated.

Kaori scanned the main street, looking to see if their were any decent stores at all in Kumogakure or whether her trip had been for nothing. She was desperate to find the perfect present for Kita; after all, 20 was a bit of a milestone since it meant he was no longer a teenager and would have to grow up a little.
For such a small village, it astounded Kaori at just how busy it was; Konoha was much quieter than this and it was almost double the size. She forced her way through the crowds, darting inbetween the people, their monotonous routines taking up the best part of their day.
Kaori could never live like that. That's why she was glad she had Kita; he was equally as indecisive as she so it meant their lives would never be reduced to the roboticness of these villagers. She watched a small group of middle aged women gather around a bag stall, wondering how many times a week they carried out this same procedure.
She continued to push her way through, a young girl banged into her sides. Kaori stopped dead in her tracks and blinked, her crystalline blue eyes astounded by what she had just witnessed. A young girl with green and blue eyes.
"What the....." She frowned. She knew of only one clan with a trademark like that but there were only 2 members left. She was dating one of them and the other was too instable. to travel on her own. Kaori turned on her heels and chased after the girl "Hey!" She called; there were far too many people about for one person to be singled out by the mere call of hey so Kaori waited till she was just behind the girl. She leaned over and whispered in her ear "Hyukari-san?" She hushed; hoping it would trigger some form of reaction.

Akiyo walked silently, banging uncaringly into people who got into her way. There was already a look in her eyes that told others to shut up and get out of her way if they didn’t want to get pushed.
She passed one other girl who called out “Hey!”, but in such a huge crowd, she was positive it wasn’t her, mostly because she wasn’t friends with anyone and she wasn’t friendly enough to anyone for them to have a reason to be nice to her, unless they were blind.
She was startled by the voice of someone right behind her who whispered, “Hyukari-san?” She turned around, slightly alarmed, only to see the same girl she passed. She may have had a blurry past, but somehow, she remembered her own name: Hyukari, Akiyo. Now that she looked more closely, she could tell that the girl was a few years older than her.
Feeling already hostile to a stranger, she didn’t bother with a reply yet, but rather, she was tempted to allow her eyes to do all the talking.
Finally, she opened her mouth, only to let out a soft, “What?!?” Despite the fact that her words were soft, they held a harsh tone in them, that told you that she had no patience for trivial things, and if you wanted to say something, you’d better make it quick.
Her voice didn’t fit her appearances at all. Her rough looks would’ve fit with a gruff voice, but instead, her voice was a soft soprano, not too high, and the voice would’ve fit better for a shyer girl, or maybe a girlier girl. Akiyo, on the other hand, had odd red hair tied in a simple ponytail and wore dark jeans and shirts, but never skirts. For a young girl who was 17, she had the maturity of an adult and the harshness of a professional kunoichi, despite the fact that it was natural teenage instinct to act rebellious, immature, and idiotic, yet friendly and slightly desperate for friends.
Her eyebrows furrowed a bit and she crossed her arms, impatiently waiting for an answer.
Her eyes showed the clear message that she wanted a quick answer, would not accept any childish games, and behind the bitterness that showed slightly in her eyes, there was an even harsher, ‘What do you want?!?’
She felt no need to act friendly to a stranger, when she acted just as bad to the people of her home village. The part of her conscious that scolded her for such cold behavior ditched her long ago, leaving her guilt-free of her rudeness.
When the girl didn't answer in the five seconds Akiyo gave her, she whirled around, only to be smacked in the face with a bucket. She didn't notice the man behind her carrying buckets upon his shoulders, she took one step back, before she turned to face the other girl again, except this time, her eyes softened and she spoke in a friendly manner, "Hi! I'm Hyukari, Akiyo! Nice to meet you, was there anything you wanted?"

Kaori watched the girls reaction with great intent. Her words were harsh and abrupt and from her tone, Kaori knew she wasn't someone she should spent too long associating with unless absolutely neccessary. She was fascinated by the similarities to Kita's younger sister. The attitude, the pale skin, the eyes...everything about her told her that this was Ikara but at the same time, she knew it wasn't. This girls patience, although short, was still too long to be Ikara. She'd have had a kunai to the skull by this point if this had been Ikara in a strop. The girl raised her hand as if to slap Kaori; she remained motionless, unflinching. She'd endured worse and she could likely take this brat down quite swiftly if need be. She didn't seem too analytical in battle and was bound to make mistakes due to her hotheadedness.
As if in some comedy sketch, a bucket smacked the girl clean across the back of the head and as if by some form of sorcery, the girl became a completely different person. Her voice was chirpy and friendly, a complete contrast to the girl of before. There was no doubt she was related to Kita and Ikara. It was just a matter of whether or not she knew this.
"Um.....did you say you're name was Akiyo Hyukari?" Kaori enquired inquisetivly; she knew she must proceed with caution. If the 2 members she had met were anything to go by, the Hyukari clan was not one to be messed with, especially the female of the species.

Akiyo was curious, wondering if perhaps this girl knew something of her blurry past. She was always curious, but she didn’t want to make it obvious. She’d quieted down and had completely forgotten to ask for the girl’s name.
She often wondered if she had any family, and now, she might be able to get answers to her questions, but something else nagged at the back of her head, questioning how this other girl could possibly know about her blurry past.
Akiyo thought about how the girl’s voice also seemed a bit curious when she said her own name. Even when she was friendly, her instinct to overanalyze things still existed. She was less uptight, but her guard never dropped. Somehow, the instinct to allow no mistakes also remained.
She had to think and re-think her every action before she could be sure that there would be no mistakes in her actions. It became a reflex that came to her as easily as breathing.
Akiyo watched the girl for a few seconds responding. “Yeah...that’s my name...why?”

Kaori considered this new information for a second. It was surely no coincidence. There were far too similarities between the two and for them to share the same surname; it was an uncommon trait for 2 clans to have the same family name and not be connected. Kaori had never heard of this situation occuring once.
There was no doubt that this girl was related to Ikara and Kita. Whether or not she knew this was another matter however. "If you don't mind me asking, what village did you grow up in?" Kaori pressed her for more information; she wanted to be at least 99.99% sure before she suggested any ties between them to the girl.

For a second, Akiyo considered asking the girl why she was so interested in her past. She tried to shrug off the suspicious feeling, but couldn't seem to get rid of the feeling completely.
She guessed there would be no harm in just saying which village she was from, so she replied, "Suna..." She sent a quick glance at the Suna headband tied securely on her belt, partially hidden by her shirt. Akiyo almost said, 'Suna orphanage', but stopped herself just in time. There was no point in telling a stranger so much about herself.
She realized that she knew practically nothing about this girl, including her name, but she wouldn't ask for a name...not unless she had to. The only thing Akiyo knew about this girl right now, was that it seemed like she was interrogating her with questions about her birthplace and possibly about her past, soon.
Although she was suspicious, something gnawed at her mind. This could be the only chance she could find out anything about her past-- if this girl knew anything about her past-- and it would most likely be a once in a lifetime chance, or at least once in her lifetime.
Truth be told, Akiyo suspected that she wouldn't live for a very long age. Especially since few people liked her and she seemed to always be picking a fight. She predicted in the near future, that she would most likely die in a fight, that she decided to idiotically pick. Sure, Akiyo rarely picked a fight with someone she was sure was stronger than her, but there were still a few moments where her bad temper-- although never shown on her face-- got the best of her and sent her blindly charging into a battle were her chance of a victory were less than likely. But still, she manged to survive until her near young adulthood, so perhaps her chance of surviving in the world she found cruel were still likely.
Surely, if it was her second personality, her suspicion would've sent her acting mute and glaring non-stop at the older girl. She would've most likely picked a fight by now and used it as training.
Akiyo looked back at the girl, trying to scan her face for any traces that the girl wanted to use the information she was given to blackmail her in the future-- however the girl could use this little information against Akiyo.
