Walkin' in the mist.

Numi walked down the bank of the river and smelled the air. she wondered what the water was like today, but didn't dare go in. she stpoed after walking up onto a very high rock and way lookinh down on the water.

Obsurveing a frogg hop bye she heard something russling behind her. she turned to se what it was. 'Just another frog' she thought to herself as the second frog hopped into the water. she sat quietley.

[Leler]

Leler looked at the ground below, holding her breath. Today was the day she'd learn to swim. Leler had little lessons here and there, but nothing big. She'd already tested the water. Running out of the little crevice in the cliff, Leler leaped off the two foot high rock and into the water. she went under.
Which way is up??
Leler was tumbling head over heels as the water swirled around her. finally, after deciding to try her luck, she swam in a direction it was up. Leler broke the surface, gasped a few times, and slid below again. Coming up again, Leler shouted.
"Help! I can't swim!"

Numi spun in nerves circles 'Oh god! what to do what to do what to do!' Numi meowed as loud as she could to thell the girl she was there. she jumped up into a tree. Jumping from branch to branch she looked for a vine. finaley finding one she grabbed it in her mouth and jumped out of the tree. she keped one end and tossed the other end in the water. she meowed to tell the girl to grab on.

[Leler]

Leler heard a meowing sound.
Great, I'm gonna die, and the only creature that's gonna see it is a cat???
Leler came up again and spied a vine in the water. She grabbed on, and slowly but surely pulled herself to shore.
"If I'm gonna learn to *gasp* swim, I might *gasp* as well learn it *gasp* in my own land." Leler wheezed. Her head throbbed from the lack of air. Slowly, still breathing hard, Leler lay on the ground, exaughsted.

Numi walked over to the lifeless body. she looked at it for a moment. she nudged the girls head with hers. she meowed. not getting a responce she nuged her again. Numi paced around the girl, wondering how to get a responce. she finaley got frusterated and jumped up onto the girls stomac.

[Leler]

Leler felt something nudging her.
probably the cat.
Then, she felt added wait on her stomach.
"What the?" Leler exclaimed, shooting up. The cat flew off her stomach, hissing, onto the ground.
"Oh, sorry!" Leler exclaimed, scooping up the ball of fluff into her arms. She stroked the feline, her hand drier after having ben wiped onto the shorts of soakingness. Leler smiled at the kitty face. It's little nose was one thing Leler had trouble resisting. So she didn't. Laughing, Leler gave it a little poke.
"So was it you that saved me?" Leler asked, nuzzling the fur.

Numi purred since she couldent really anser. she pawed at the girls hair, playing with it. when in this form sometimes she couldent help herself when it comes to things like this. she meowed out of playfilness. 'that nice hair this is....' she thought to herself, forgrting most other things and consontrating on her game. she dosn't really play with peoples hair much, but hay, whatever!

[Leler]

Leler laughed, and held the kitty. When it took another swipe, she caught the paw. Leler didn't know why, but she wanted to see if the cat was declawed.
probably not.
After forcing out the claw, Leler let the little paw free. Carefully, she stroked the fluffy head.
"Do you have an owner? If you don't I could be your owner. But I don't think you could answer. You saved my life. How does some fish sound?" Leler asked, stroking the hair. The kitty was playing with her hair

Numi meowed 'an owner...I'm not shure thats possable...Cho would kill me and i can't stay kitty form forever....evean if I am Cute...' Numi continued to play with her hair until the word fish came up. 'Oh yummy fish' Numi meowed in responce. 'I could go for a snack.....' she stoped pawing and sat still for a moment.. ' my is this comphy...'

[Leler]

Leler smiled, and stood up. She still held the kitty, and went to a ramen shop. She went inside.
I wonder if they have it here to.
Leler sat at a table, and set the kitty down next to her. She held the kitty there gently but firmly. She ordered a bowl of ramen, and asked for a few fish on the side. The waitress looked at her oddly, but walked back a few minutes later with a bowl of ramen and a few fish. When the waitress left, Leler slid the fish to Numi, who waited happily.
"Be quit. I don't know if your aloud here." Leler whispered when the kitty mewed for some more fish.
"I'm gonna have to name you for now. Ummmm, what about Numi?"Leler asked the kitty after they ate. She picked her up again and walked out to the streets, waiting for a response.

'wow your good?' Numi looked strangley at the girl, wondering how she knew her name. she thought she might have met her in human forme and she liked the name. maybe she just looked like a Numi to her, because well she was a Numi...Numi pawed at her shoulder. she wanted to walk herself, but moste people knew she was a person to and knew how to talk to her, but she couldent bring herself to show this girl she wasent a kitty, she thought she was so cute.

[Leler]

"I guess all good things must come to an end."Leler said sadly, letting Numi onto the ground. Turning quickly away, she didn't want to watch Numi leave. Leler walked slowly back to the pond. She then noticed the cat at her heels.
"Do you like my company, Numi?" Leler asked. She reached down and scratched the cat's ears.
Leler went to the edge of the water, and sat down.
"I'm going to trust you, Numi."Leler said, swinging her legs in the water.
"I wish you were a person, so we could talk like normal. But I guess this will do." Leler sighed. She stroked numi thoughfully.

"If only you knew..." Numi said kneeling down besid her. she swished her hand in the water. Not looking at the girl she immagend her expreshen and smiled. "I bet you have never seen someone do that before have you." she still didn't look at her, for she knew her jaw would be droped. "let me ask you this one thing though, how did you know my name?"

[Leler]

"I, uh, wait, WHAT?? NUMI'S ACTUALLY YOUR NAME?"Leler practically shouted. Much more of these suprises, and she'd have a heartattack. The girl next to her, apparently Numi, swished her hand in water.
"Are you a cat or a girl?" Leler asked, still staring at the girl.
"Oh, I didn't answer your question. I like the name Numi I guess. I have a few dolls that I named Numi." Leler explained, splashing the water back and forth. Her hand was getting cold, so Leler sat back on her heels and watched the clouds flow away with the wind.

"dolls?...." Numi stared at her reflection and thought. "my littel sisterd have all my dolls..."she looked for her sisters in her face...she had chos eyes and her little sisters had her smile, but her personalitey was all her own. "do you have aney sibalings?" she continued to look into her face. Always seeing her mother, or what little she knew of her. her father looked like none of his four children. Nor did he look like his brother. "so..."
