Usami was walking towards the village to get something to eat. He was very hungry since he didn't even bother to have any breakfast this morning. With his stomach screaming and his wallet full of cash he looked for a good place as fast as he could.
"So many places, so little time. I wish I knew what I wanted to eat, hmm some barbeque pork ramen sounds good right about now."
With his mind made up he walked towards the nearest ramen shop to enjoy his meal. As he walked into the shop he noticed that business looked fairly steady.
"Must be a good place."
He took his seat and waited for somebody to come take his order.

OOC - may as well join in
"This place is going to crap....." Kita rolled his eyes. Once upon a time, this was the best Ramen bar in Kirigakure. Nowadays, whilst it was still fairly busy (Kita assumed it was more to do with the fact it was the only Ramen restaurant in the village rather than because of it's quality), the noodles were soggy, the meat tasteless and he was 90% sure that he had a squid floating in the soup rather than a mushroom.
Feeling his stomach churn, Kita reluctantly swallowed the noodles, shoveling them into his mouth and gulping. The bitter taste made his jaws clench, as though sucking on an irate wasp.
If it wasn't for the fact he was starving and he couldnt be bothered shopping, Kita would have gladly passed on this.
He took a sip of the diet coke on the table, swirling an ice cube around his mouth with his tongue. His blonde fringe flopped into his eyes; he had been pondering for a while whether or not to get a haircut but the floppy, boyband-reject fringe had convinced him that the scissors needed to be unleashed on it.
As usual, Kita was so wrapped up in his own vanity he failed to notice someone else sit down next to him

Usami looked over at the person he was sitting next to and smiled. He noticed that he was making some disgusted faces earlier and laughed at it. He wondered wether it was from the food or the fact that his presence annoyed him. All of that didn't matter right now, Usami decided to make a good first impression.
"Hey, my name is Usami Mizuno whats yours?"

Taken by surprise at the sudden introduction, Kita replied an infathomable grunt, the ramen noodles filling his mouth making any form of speech incoherent.
Realising his rudeness, he swallowed them and turned to the young man; he seemed similar in age to Kita, perhaps 1 or 2 years younger. His pure white hair was what caught Kita's attention; it was likely dyed but it was all the more impressive if it was natural, likely a clan trait.
"Hey, Im Kita. Kita Hyukari." He smiled, trying to be just as friendly back.
Kaori had been on a mission for a few weeks and Ikara had went back to Suna so it had been a good while since Kita had found decent conversation so he wasn't going to pass up this opportunity

Usami laughed towards the grunt seeing as the noodles were in the way.
"Is the food here really that bad?"
A waiter came by to take Usami's order.
"I'll have barbeque pork ramen please with some tea."
The waiter wrote everything down and walked to the kitchen to tell the chef. Usami turned his attention back to Kita and looked around.
"So how long has this place been up, it seems pretty old yet steady in business."

"worse...." Kita pushed the bowl to the side, fidgeting with his chopsticks. "As for it's age....older than me, that's all i know. It used to be fairly decent when i came here as a kid but i think now it's only used because it's the only Ramen bar in town!"
He tapped his fingers impatiently on the countertop, awaiting the warm sake he had ordered earlier. He had to admit it was the only thing he couldn't fault about the restaurant.
"You're not from around here then?"

Usami shook his head when he heard the question.
"Actually I am from around here but I've always been secluded in my own little world. I've been obssesing about making my dad and uncle proud so I've spent all these years training and shutting myself out from anything else, but now I think it is time for a change."
Usami never had anybody to talk to that much but thought it would be a good chance to start a normal life from now on. As he was conversing with Kita the waiter came back with his food and tea. Feeling very hungry Usami didn't hold back when he ate his food. The first bite of the barbeque pork tasted as if it had been rotting in the ramen soup for a year and wasn't even chewable. Quickly he drank the tea to wash it down but the tea was not even strong and tasted like hot water. He coughed and looked at his food with disgust.
"And I thought my cooking was bad."

"Get the Sake;" Kita gestured the small cup he had in his hand filled with the warm liquid "It's the only thing i'd recommend!" Kita gave a fly smirk as he drank the Sake; the drink warming him from inside. But alas, even that was not enough to get rid of the bitter, jaw-clenching taste that haunted the back of his mouth.
"I know what'll help this...." He bent down and pulled up the leg of his combats; a small, silver flash tucked was neatly inside his sandal, strapped snuggly onto his leg with bandages. He removed the flask and filled up his now empty Sake cup with the black liquid. Ikara often called him an alcoholic but the small vessel of coke and vodka was his only real vice.
"Want some?" He looked at Usami, offering the flask. He was never one to normally share his own stash of alcohol but he pitied the poor boy who had so innocently ordered from the bar. He knew the intense pain and disgust he would be feeling inside.

Usami looked over at Kita and smiled when he suggested sake. He called over the bartender and ordered a bottle of sake. He noticed Kita pull out a small silver flask with some black substance within it. He wondered if it was a mixture of soday and liquor and accepted the offer.
"Wow thanks, I never knew the people in Kirigakure could be so friendly."
He took a full shot of sake which warmed his lips and body as it was drained down instantly. He enjoyed every moment of the taste and took the flask from Kita and poured some in a shot glass. He took a shot of it and noticed it was coke and vodka. He enjoyed drinking sake with his new friend.
"So what place do you recommend to eat around here then?"

"Wow thanks, I never knew the people in Kirigakure could be so friendly."
Kita laughed at this comment. "They generally aren't," He smiled, tapping the Suna logo strapped to his belt buckle, "This will explain why I'm so darn nice" He smiled.
He looked around to see if he recognised any of the restaurants as being part of a brand that he could recommend. He was rarely in Kiri these days so he wasn't really sure what places provided food that was safe for consumption.
"I can't really recommend any of them since i'm rarely around these days," He paused, "But it's a hell of a long walk to Konoha just to get some decent Ramen so i'd say your best bet is TV-dinners from the supermarket round the corner!"
Kita had never been a big cook so those meals were a life-saver for him. It was only since Kaori had moved in with him and forced him to eat a more balanced diet that he actually considered learning to cook.

Usami looked down and noticed the headband which showed that he was from Sunagakure. He looked out the window as he poured himself more sake and r=drank it in one gulp. He figured that the people in Kirigakure would not be like Kita, considering his father and uncle showed no mercy on him.
"TV dinners you say? I'll stick to my cooking thanks. Damn, it seems like Kirigakure is going to shit then. I never knew because I was always isolated at my house on the other side of the village training myself with my katana and ninja tools."
He pulled out his wallet and payed the bill with a little tip, for the sake not the ramen. He stood up and walked out the door and looked bck at Kita.
"It was nice meeting you Kita, hopefully we'll bump into each other again someday."
