"Wasn't interested?" Yuo laughed. "Haruka you're kidding! I would've died to kiss you before!" he said as he sat up, a big smile on his face. "I kept wondering when I would be able to kiss you. I never got the courage." he rubbed the back of his head a bit. "Then Ling came along and told me that I just had to kiss you. So I did." Yuo looked at Haruka. "And I'm so glad I did. I guess kissing you for the first time brought a bit of my courage back. I love you."

Haruka could not help but laugh at his comment. "I love you too..." she replied, quickly kissing him on the lips, figuring that they had done enough for such a short period of time now. "I guess we have to thank Ling for his intervention later." she joked, adjusting her sitting possition to move herself from her possition on his lap, possitive that he was not so comfortable with it. "So... should we go somewhere else?" she asked him suddenly. "It seems we're running out of things to do here." She looked up towards the woods again. Maybe they could go back to the house and look through her trunk.

Yuo shrugged. "Sure." he said. "I'll do anything. I just want to be with you." he said, stretching his arms out a bit to relieve the stiffness from lying down so much. He stood up and brushed a hair out of his face. "So, how about we go do something else now?" he asked, holding his hand out to her. "I have a feeling you're thinking of looking through your mothers trunk for awhile, am I right?" he asked, chuckling. "I know how much you want to look through the rest of it." he smiled brightly at her.

Haruka nodded, smiling sheepishly as she took his hand. "Yeah... that's it..." she said, as she pulled herself up to a vertical possition. "I just can't help but wonder what else might be in there." she shrugged, keeping a tight hold on his hand a she tugged gently and began walking towards the parting in the woods where the had entered the clearing. "Hey, Yuo? I had a question." she spoke up suddenly after they had entered the shading under the leafy green canopy. "If it's alright if i as."

Yuo followed her, holding her hand back tightly. "Yeah, go ahead and ask." he said. He looked at her, admiring her greatly. 'I wonder what she wants to ask. We were talking about her mothers trunk, but then she wanted to ask me a question.' he thought. 'Could it have something to do with the trunk? Or does it half to do with me?' he thought as he continued to stare at Haruka. A small smile still remained on his face. He just couldn't help but stare at Haruka, his eyes were hooked on her. He sighed quietly and softly.

Haruka felt her cheeks flush slightly as his eyes did not stray from her. It was nice but embarassing, whether someone was around or not. "Well, do you remember that night when you stormed out?" she asked. "That night when we actually... yeah... and I.. chased you and all that happened?" she stared back at him for a moment, figuring he would remember. It was hard not to. "Anyway, i was wondering... when i was following after you guys... I heard something..." she swallowed. "What exactly did you mean by 'She doesn't belong to me'?" It was something that had been jumping into her mind lately. "Yukio asked you if you had liked me, and then you said 'She doesn't belond to me.' "

Yuo took a deep breath in. "Don't you remember telling me that I don't own you?" he asked. "That's what I meant. I don't own you, there's nothing saying that I own you." he looking away for a minute. "It's hard to explain." he said. "You're not mine. Technically, you're your fathers, but if you don't want to get technical, you're Mabuki's." he said. "When it comes to love you are mine, but otherwise, I don't own you, and you don't really own me. Does that make sense?"

Haruka gave him an odd look, shaking her head at him. "No. It doesn't..." she said flattly. "Considering the context of the time of the situation, it doesn't. We weren't... anything... really... at the time that is..." she looked down, picking at the fingernails on her free hand with the same set of fingers. "I mean... You seemed so angry about it... and then you seemed even more freaked out when you found out that i was standing a few meters behind all of you..."

"Well yeah." Yuo said, reaching out to take Haruka's hand. "I mean, I thought you might freak out and be upset with me if you had heard that." he said. Yuo looked at Haruka and wrapped his arms tightly around her, pulling her close to his chest. "It's hard to explain ok? So much has happened between that time." he said. "I'm more focused on now, with you and how close we are." he said. "And how much I'm in love with you. I don't think any of those bad moments matter. I, just..." he trailed off.

Haruka bit her lip, slipping one hand away from his to place it on his face as she looked to him. "Oh, you don't think i was mad or upset do you?" she said worriedly. She pulled herself back to him, her arms firmly wrapped around his neck. "I'm not... i swear... I'm just... still confused about that whole thing..." She thought for a moment, of some way she could explain this to him. "I mean, first you leave me a note saying 'It ment more then you think' and then i hear you say that... almost like you were disgusted with me, or thought that you couldn't believe that... oh, just never mind... It's not a bad memory though.... it's a very good memory..."

"A good memory?" Yuo asked. "How is it a good memory?" he asked, confused, but still holding her close, his face buried lightly in her neck and his arms firmly around her waist. "The note was about you saying Yuo-kun. It meant a ton. No one ever called me Yuo-kun." he said. "I was so sure that it meant more. I mean, I was pretty much falling for you at that moment as I gazed at you. You were so pretty." he said. "And you still are. You're no different." he held her a bit tigher, just a bit.

"It's a good memory because..." Haruka started, trying desperately to find the right words. "Because shortly after that was the first time that you actually hugged me... like, really hugged me. And the first time i was actually alone with you. The first time you hugged me it was a friendly 'thank you.' But... that time... you're hands were around my waist... like they arm now... and it was just so different..." she swallowed, trying her best not to cry. "I hadn't felt so safe in so long..." she did not move from her possition, feeling his breath on her neck as he kept his face there. "So, that was what the note was about..." she mumbled quietly to herself. "Makes more sense now..."

Yuo kept his arms around her, his face still pressed against her neck gently. "Safe?" he asked. "I made you feel safe just by hugging you?" he asked. He pulled his head back and placed his forehead against hers. He looked at her, a small smile on his face. He brought his arm away to put his hand on her cheek. "You look like you're going to cry." he said, chuckling. "Why do you look like that Haruka? I thought you feeling safe would make you feel happy, not sad." he said. Yuo was still smiling happily. He was glad she had felt safe.

She nodded, looking back at him as his eyes probbed into her own. "It's really hard to explain... i just felt... right... like that was somewhere I was supposed to be..." she shrugged awkwardly. She swallowed again as he pressed his forehead against hers, a few of her tears spilling over now. He almost never did that anymore, but, up until they had kissed, it was the closest they had ever gotten to eachothers faces. "And they're happy tears Yuo..." she answered, smiling.

Yuo wiped Haruka's tears and smiled. "Ok." he said, almost tempted to kiss her again. He didn't want to ruin the moment though. "I'm glad they're happy tears." he said. "And Haruka, that was where you were suppose to be." he said. "You belong right in my arms where I can hang onto you and never let go." he said. "Where you'll always be safe and never harmed. And where you'll belong, forever and ever." he said, his forehead still pressed to hers as he gazed into her eyes lovingly. "I love you so much."
