Brilliant.
Name: Hokaro Kazhe Age: Thirteen Rank: Chuunin Village: Sunagakure Appearance: Kazhe is a young boy, and he still holds that childish look that is found in such early nin. He is a bit short, standing only 5'4" with a pale complexion and an oval shaped face with a sligh point to the chin. He's a skinny boy, and his eyes are slightly larger than average, locking in the last bits to his school [or rather, pretty-] boy look. Overall, Kazhe generally likes the way he looks, though has decided for a long time that his eyes and his hair a bit too bright, and his skin is a bit too pale. However, no one's perfect, and at least he's not fat and he has no scars.. as of yet.
Kazhe's hair has always been coloured the same his entire life. It's a shade of blue that's extremely bright and exciting, like electric blue. He's rather sick of it, knowing that there's no way anyone could ever lose him in a crowd, and it's impossible for him to try and blend in most of the time. It's styled shaggily, hanging around random places, in his eyes and covering his face. His bangs part slightly on the left hand side of his head, leaving a small space of nothing there. Kazhe's locks always hold a silky feel to them, though with living in the desert, they often hold a bit of a gritty feel at the base, something that's been bugging him a lot -- he constantly shakes his fingers through his hair to get rid of the dirt.
His eyes, like his hair are very vibrant. They're a bright green colour, darker around the centre and growing lighter -- however not duller at all -- around the edges, until they look almost like a light, pulsing piece of sea glass. Slightly larger than average, Kazhe's eyes are shaped somewhat like an almond, and the end near is nose is pointed, more sharp than the rounded edges of the opposite side. His eye's have always held in them a look of utter confusion. 'Why would you talk to me?' they always seem to ask, 'I didn't do anything, please leave me alone.'
The boy's clothes consist of a simple button-up short-sleeved shirt and baggy pants along with the normal shinobi shoes. The tee is white with electric blue lines on it, matching his hair, with a slahs through the left sleeve, and it's often unbuttoned half-way with light fishnetting underneath it. His pants are white, baggy and cover most of his electric blue shinobi shoes. Kazhe's hitai'ate is tied around his right shoulder tightly. The colour of the fabric his mother had found would have clashed entirely and got another one made from him before she died, even before he made genin, she begged for it, how strange; go on and guess the colouring now. Personality: Kazhe's always been a quiet boy. He's had no reasons for this, it's just the way he is. If he's talked to, he'll probably talk back to you, however he won't be extremely detailed in his conversations unless he's for some reason taken a liking to you, or if you've managed to upset him somehow. He's not a shy boy, either, though that's the conclusion most people come to, considering he just doesn't talk very much. Actually, all of this probably has to do with his homelife; but, we'll get to that later.
The boy's smart. More book-smart than common sense or street smart, and strategies aren't something he's good at, but things that require memory are things he's good at. Perhaps this is the reason he's decided he wanted to go into medical training. That, or something that took trial and error, maybe something with poison. Either way, he'll be good at what he decides because he's also got determination. Most of it's hidden away, and hardly anyone sees it, but everything he does is behind closed doors. He's always worked hard in his studies and training.
Kazhe's rather paranoid about a lot of things. Namely, it's things that have to do with somebody seriuosly caring about him; perhaps, relationships? He's not used to that kind of love, caring and support. Oft times, he has very little self-confidence as well, rarely believing in himself and shrugging off those few compliments he ever gets. Sometimes, his determination is killed by this as well, because thoughts just take over, telling him he's not good enough. Background: Thirteen years ago, Hokaro Kazhe has born into the Hidden Village of Sand, Sunagakure, to parents Yuri and Foku Hokaro. They were first time parents, and it would also be their last child. For his first ten years, Kazhe's life was perfect. His parents loved him unconditionally, he got good grades during school, and though both of his parents were shinobi, they never came home with more than scratches. Until the one mission they were sent on killed his mother, of course. It was destined to happen, to kill the little boy's happiness, because no one can live a perfect life like that for too long.
His father came home in a rage that Kazhe couldn't understand -- wouldn't he be sad that his wife had died? For days, Kazhe deliberately was only in the house when he absolutely needed to be; he even had taken to sleeping outside. One day, though, he was woken up to the sounds of loud swearing and crashing glass bottles. The young boy, ten years old and still an academy student, stalked to his house quietly and froze up when he saw what was going on. His dad was throwing around things of his mum's, those pretty glass framse she had, jewelry, and on occasion just an empty sake bottle.
The boy was seen by his father, and immediately, Kazhe ducked, heart racing, all shinobi tactics he'd been taught lost. He could tell his dad was drunk, or at least in such an intense emotion that he seemed so. And he would find him. Ah, and that he did, moments later. Kazhe was forced up by a rough kick and tugs from his shirt. There he stood, looking into his father's face who immediately blew up on him. Shouting things, belittling the boy and overall physically beating him. Kazhe never cried nor fought back, only took it until his father left him, grunting.
He missed school for the next week, tending to himself with instincts and his precise chakra control. These antics of his and his dad's considered for a long time, though it ended up he was never beat like that again -- rather he was called names, and emotionally knocked down, about daily. He got used to this, and slowly, little by little, his confidence was knocked down, down, down, and he tried to hide rough bruises on his wrists from being gripped too hard, or how much his head hurt from hair pulling.
Kazhe still lives like this, he's told no one of all this, it's been going on the past three years, and he hardly knows anymore between the times when his father's drunk or sober; he acts like a illicit love child the entire time, regardless. He's given up on a normal life anymore, and instead remains learning medic tactics on his own for his bruises and such. Notes: Wishes to become a medic-nin or specialize with poison, Precise Chakra Control, Entered Academy at age seven, Graduated at age eleven, Became Chuunin just recently. His dad could care less. Thanks =] I hope I didn't go overboard on the abuse.. I know most sites are wary about that, but it's a ton more common than they think. >>'' I also tried to not make it to an extreme extent, nor to make him seem super depressed about it/overly happy, cuz well.. I mean the happy at times is realistic, but not like Naruto happy. Neh. <3
