Appearance: Most of the Aiami have short hair. The reason behind this is all of the twisting and turning they do during their fighting and training, therefore keeping it out of the way by having it at such a length it won't cause a problem. Minako rebelled against that, growing her hair out, down to her knees. She learned early on, though, about keeping it in a straight line as much as she could, and hardly ever wears it completely down anymore, opting for one ponytail at the top, and twisting all of it together in an extremely tight manner, even tossing in the random bit of chakra at times. Usually, it ends up staying about the same way, and it's always straight. The colouring is that of her mother's, raven blue-black, a bit like the Uchiha's however with more of a blue tint.

Often concealed behind her red and white cat-like painted ANBU mask are Minako's eyes, two features she never particularly liked about herself. As a child, they always told what she was feeling, no matter how much she denied it, and all they show know is a blank stare most time, often with a hint of malice, determination or cold defiance. The colour almost matches that of her top and shorts, a light though bright aqua like blue. They're not extremely vivid, and often never seen, but they're not particularly a colour you would mistake.

As for clothes, Minako wears layers. First off, on the top she wears a short fishnet tanktop that stops under her chest and a short sleeved dark violet top over that, about the same length as far as down her stomach goes. Slightly shorter, with no sleeves but a high collar, is an aqua like vest, coloured like her eyes, with a white zipper up the middle. There are markings of her clan in a lighter, slightly brighter cyan colour around the edges; these markings are also very light on the purple sleeves, long purple gloves she wears, shorts, the top of her socks and the handles of her Toku.

Minako wears a bikini like black bottom with straps that sit high on her waist, very visible. Purple shorts sit over that, slightly longer at the top and bottom, resembling the layers she wears on her top half. Over that are a pair of aqua coloured shorts, matching the vest and her eyes, with a section in the middle cut out, almost randomly, so the purple shows through. There are two pockets on each side of them, however they don't normally hold anything.

As far as accessories, Minako wears her ANBU mask, the black headband around her forehead and hair, the mask often off to the left side of her, she wears long, finger-covering dark purple gloves, and then, well, her legs. This varies. Sometimes, she will wear only socks. These are the same shade of purple as always, and go up past the knee with aqua clan markings along the top. They're made of a nice silk, very comfortable, and make little noise. However, depending on the mission, Minako may switch for another type of shoe. As shown on her left leg in the picture, Minako has a heavy-ish type of combat like boot she may also wear. It's mainly aqua with purple accents, and a dark purple sash wrapped around it. Min has no reason for the sash, but secretive reasons for the boots. She's only worn them out on a mission a handful of times, usually opting for her socked feet. Lastly is her weapon, her twin Toku sword.. things. Using the straps from her bikini styled bottoms, Minako has a decorated maroon sheath on her back, styled in a diagonal manner, and she keeps both her Toku in it, one coming out on the top left, one coming out on the bottom right. She's used to having to pull out the bottom one harder as well, seeing as it's slightly tighter on the end so the Toku won't fall out.
Personality: Minako's a rather happy person. It hardly ever shows, but that's because as an ANBU member, she's been trained in the care and importance of emotions, therefore has gotten into the habit of one face the entire time; blank and careless. However, at times of extreme emotion, things leak through. Fear, Misery, Happiness; They all have been strong enough at one point or another to break through a facade set up by Min. Most of the time, though, her true feelings are only shown with those people she trusts the most; or, as much as she hates it, in the middle of a mission when stakes are it's highest, stress has taken a toll on her a few times. However, she always manages to pull herself through and work towards the 'greater good'; completing the mission.

Minako's always been quiet about her feelings, since a little girl, and even with her training, it's only enhanced her need and habit to do this. She will rarely talk about her thoughts or opinions when it comes to some things, or else she won't say the useless words of 'i think', she'll just be like 'we need to do this'. Usually what happens, though, is that she'll pretend to be fine at all times and take it out on herself later on, crying through stress when she's alone. She bottles up her feelings, in a nutshell.

When it comes to missions, or her position for the ANBU Black ops, Minako is very serious, no fun and games. She takes anything she's given and will work at it 110% with as much dedication and determination as.. at least Naruto or Sasuke have. Even at the academy, she always went home and practiced, and different things each days; aim, written work, strategies, nin, tai, all of it. She's tried to be able to use everything and be just as good in all fields, however Taijutsu and weaponry [her kekkei genkai] will always be her strong point, and she's not that great at coming up with strategies or ninjutsu's. Gen, well, she can use a few of those, and she's pretty precise when it comes to aim and being accurate. You know, precision && accuracy? Yeah, that's Minako. She works for that.

Overall, though, when she's with her family or close friends, Minako could almost be a completely different person; she's often on the verge of bubbly and peppy, often with a small smile, the one girl in the room that could be funny but not look like she was trying.
History: The Aiami clan's roots are deep into Iwagakure, they're one of the older families in the Hidden Village. They started out as simply two shinobi with a unique way of fighting, many many years ago, and slowly found secrets through their techniques, and through one careful marriage produced the Tosuyaku. It was rarer at first, the speeded ability, though it quickly grew more and more common through the family, until it became something classified as a kekkei genkai; every Aiami clan member now possesses the ability.

Born to the clan's head, you would probably expect lavish treatment, wouldn't you? But that's almost the opposite of Minako's lifestyle, her childhood. She grew up under a hawk's eye at all times, and was always studying or training with the occasional break. She had to be better at her Tosuyaku than the other ninja, otherwise she could be beat out later in life and lose her position. She accepted this gracefully and worked hard during her academy years, passing with very high scores. Her first attempts at the chuunin exams were fruitful, and she was a chuunin at age twelve. Four years later, Minako found herself to be a Tokubetsu, or Special, Jounin for her abilities under ambush. A few months after receiving that rank, Minako upped herself farther as a full Jounin, though she hadn't gotten into the teaching thing. When Minako turned nineteen, she was accepted into the ANBU Black Ops organization of Iwagakure, receiving the noted cloak, mask and hood. She never liked the traditional dress, either, and so obliged to be herself at most times, and letting no one else know that she was ANBU. And her missions were [are?] hardly within the village. Currently, Minako's trying to work her way up to ANBU Squad leader, a feat that could have been possible by her by now, though she had slacked off considerably in her thirteenth year, after making chuunin, and had a little bit of a longer journey back up to the skill level she was at before.
