Name of Canon: Maito Gai
Age of Canon: 29 (currently)
Thorough Physical Description:
Maito Gai is in peak physical condition, from his dazzling smile to his sparkling abs. He is a tall, fierce beast, with significantlylarge gorgeous eyebrows that glitter with the sweat of his hard work. Gai is breathtakingly handsome with smooth features, a set jaw, and unforgettable eyes. Gai-sensei (as his students call him) has a form-fitting, hip, green jumpsuit that allows this sensei to perform at top level. He has orange leg warmers, sandals, and a traditional jounin jacket to complete his trendy, but delightfully unique look.
Thorough Personality Description:
Gai is incredibly intelligent, witty, engaging, an impressive leader, a magnificent story teller, and a fabulous man all around. This sensei enjoys informing those of his ever-glowing youth, and teaching others to be as hip, modern, youthful, and downright cool as he is. Nevertheless, this irreplaceable man still finds the time to chat with his long time buddy, and another jounin, Hatake Kakashi of team 7, and to not only aid his own team, but others as well. Gai-sensei is somehow able find the time to have competitions with his enemy/friend Kakashi-sensei, and hates losing to him. Despite what most people say, Gai is a wonderful loser, and a gracious winner. The only thing that can outshine his perfect grin is his enthusiasm to assist his adorable pupils (especially his precious student, Rock Lee~!)
Background:
Not much is known about our charming sensei’s past, however it can be assumed that it was full of passion, dedication, and action. Gai-sensei enters the fray when he has to stop his star pupil Lee-kun from crushing Sasuke.
Later on he turns up again to watch the 2nd chuunin exam. Unfortunately, Gai has to draw attention to himself in an unpleasant manner when he has to stop a crazed genin named Gaara from killingthe greatest pupil ever Lee. He does it with tragic grace, pained, platonic love for his Lee-kun etched onto his face, thus proving that he is a notable man with a stunning sense of empathy and devotion.
After the Gaara mishap, Gai makes another dynamic entry after a few training episodes at the final chuunin exam. After the Sand wannabe ninjas put all of the people in the chuunin stadium to sleep, Gai, Kakashi, and a few other jounins and ninjas start kicking their sandy booties all over the place (Gai kicking the most sand-bootie, of course)
Gai appears briefly at the 3rd’s funeral.
Nothing very important happens with Gai involved until the time-skip comes around. During which, Gai and his faithful team aid the needy team 7 in their attempt to get Gaara back from the Akatsuki. It’s safe to say that team 7 couldn’t have done much without the speed, expertise and the sheer awesomeness that is Team Gai.
During the rescue Gaara arc, Gai is faced up again Hoshikagi Kisame with help from his students.
To defeat Kisame, Gai is forced to open theepic gates, and it leads to success.
Why you want to RP this character:
Gai and Lee are my favorite characters! I’d like to RP as Lee, but I’m a little too crazy for him. I think I’m more suited for the shining youth bubble that is Maito Gai! Plus, I really like coming up with youth catch-phrases for him…

1..2..1….2…1..—OUCH! Maito Gai shifted all of his weight onto his left hand as he tried to remove a pesky pebble from the palm of his hand. He’d been at this for hours now, and he showed no signs of stopping. He had to finish! It would be shameful to quit before he fulfilled his promise. He lost another match to Kakashi, but, no matter! Maito Gai will always fight back! If it means walking around Konoha a couple hundred times on his hands, so be it! Afterall, to reach one's spingtime of youth and blossom to one's full potential, one must go through a harsh winter of dedication and hardwork. "YOSH! I'm really into it now! To show my worth, I shall do another 50 laps! Then I can prove to that Kakashi that i'm the real champion of duck-duck-goose!" The over-enthusiastic jounin sped off down the dirt path at an incredible pace, kicking up dirt with the palms of his hands as he practically flew.
