Name of Canon: Sai
Age of Canon: 15-16
Thorough Physical Description:
Jet black hair and eyes that remind Team 7 somewhat of Sasuke, except his hair isn't spiky. He has fairly pale skin, which is another reminder of the Uchiha boy. He too, wears the Konoha headband (in black) around his forehead. Now with the outfit...
He wears a long/short sleeved shirt. One sleeve (on his left) is short, and the other (his right sleeve) is long. Starting at the shoulders, the shirt color seems to be a dark gray with two red belt strap things, and his torso section is a bit of a lighter gray, with a zipper. The shirt ends above his abs. He also wears gloves, with a hole for the thumbs and index fingers. Now the lower area, he wears black Capri's with a white rim, a ninja pouch thing on his right leg, with the bandage things to keep the pouch from bugging him, and black sandals.
Thorough Personality Description:
When he was trained by 'Root'(I'll get to that in the background), he became completely emotionless. That seems to be one of his flaws. One thing that I want to get to before his other flaws, is he wants to experience bonds that Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha had. So...(now to the flaws/bonding thing)when trying to make bonds, he comes up with rather strange petnames. Like he calls Sakura: 'Ugly' or 'Hag', or Chouji: Fat. But he found that had little success, so he begins to say the things that he thinks are opposite to the person (coughvictimcough) like he calls Ino:Beautiful, which obviously got his new teammate, Sakura Haruno rather angry. And although he seems like a smart alec to others, he is actually trying to be helpful.
His one major talent is, of course, drawing. He says to have drawn hundreds to one thousand pictures. And because of his lack of emotion, he hasn't given any of them a name.
Background: Sai, like I said before, has trained under Root, making him emotionless. Root is instructed under a man named Danzou, who trained the poor children (and meh Sai) very intensely at a very young age. During one of the Arcs, Sai has betrayed Konoha by staying with Orochimaru and company. He had a nice little chat with Sasuke about bonds (which got him ticked and led Sakura and Naruto right to him), which made Sai want to start bonds of his own. So as I said in the personality, he started the petnames for as many people as he could think of.
Drawing is also used for his jutsu thing (I'm not entirely sure if it is a jutsu, please correct me if I'm wrong). He draws and animal for his 'Super Beast Imitation Picture'.
Last Minute details in background:
In chapter 285, Sai was trusted with a mission. While talking with the mysterious man, the guy said, “You have no name, you have no feelings…you have no past…you have no future. All you have is your mission.” When the guy said “You have no name” I know most think “What the…his name is Sai!” That’s true, but that’s just what they call him so he could be a ‘trusted’ member of Team Kakashi.
Sai, being taught not to have any emotions what so-ever, reads how to use them out of books. In Naruto Manga 286, he encounters a fake smile from Sakura right before she blows him across the bridge for bad mouthing Sasuke, and then shares a bit of knowledge that he read in a book about the fake smiles.
In chapter 287, Sakura had pulled out for us, that Sai had drawn tens of thousands of pictures, but never gives them any names, because he cannot feel anything at all.
In chapter 289, he reveals that he had lost his brother to death when they bring Sasuke into the subject after he and Naruto fight Yamato.
In chapter 292, he started his ‘Top Secret Mission’ and summons one of his drawings, leaving Sakura to fall off with the bridge.
In chapter 296, Sai appears to the enemy, and shares the bit of information that he is a messenger for Danzou.
In chapter 297, Orochimaru had claimed Sai as his subordinate.
In chapter 298, we figured his mission might be to gain favor with Orochimaru and to become Danzou’s mediator.
In chapter 300, Sai encounters Sasuke Uchiha himself
During chapter 301, Sai first experiences fear when he looks into Sasuke’s Sharingan eye.
Another mission he revealed in chapter 303, he said he was going to use and outwit the enemy (AKA Orochimaru). This is also the chapter, where Sai learns it's impossible to clear out any emotions. We also learn of his 'brother' who he claims to have died of illness.
In chapter 304, Sai betrays Orochimaru and Kabuto, and reveals that he wants to know what bonds really are. And he finally admits that he can't break the bonds between him and his brother.
Why I Want To RP This Character:
1. I have liked Sai since I have seen him in the manga. He had my interest taken, and now here I am.
2. He's adorable when he tries to make his bonds with other people. Now I want a petname X3
3. You should see how many plushi's I have of him!
4. I am currently typing this while my 2nd favorite show is playing upstairs in hopes no one else takes Sai-chan.
5. I think it would be interesting to RP Sai for a while. Plus it would be fun, I've seen other people with canon characters, and I immediately thought, 'Sai!'
6. Have read favorited many, many fanfics about him.
7. Last, I have currently many pictures of Sai, lost count at 200 ^^; (I know that's probably not a lot to many of you, but it's more than enough for me!)

Sai sat peacefully at the edge of the hill. It was the crack of dawn, and the sky was painted with a light purples, soft blues, and peaceful pinks. The crisp morning air slightly tugged at the ends of his hair as he lightly stroked his brush back, and forth. He was drawing a small baby tiger curled up next to it's mother under a tree, sleeping in a tranquil sleep.
He sighed and looked to the sky. The grass under him danced against his ankles as if the wind was playing a slow song. With a few strokes of the brush, it was finished. The mother tiger's eyes were staring right back into Sai's. The baby was curled up in a ball, with blades of grass swaying to the left, a few pebbles were sitting in a clear stream next to them. He folded it, and put it gently in his pocket. He layed down on the dancing blades behind him. They welcomed him with more dancing. One thought crossed his mind as he closed his eyes shut and thought of the drawing.
Serenity.
He fell asleep with a true smile on his face.
