I'm sorry, I know I just got my first character up, but in order to do some of the RP I've got planned done, I have to go ahead and make Chitsuki's friend (yeah, she actually does have a few) Teruha. If it's a problem, I apologize.
Name: Teruha Fuuchirinno
Age: 17

Appearance: Teruha had unnaturally bright sapphire eyes, warm auburn hair with sun-kissed blond lowlights, and a medium complexion. she's tall and thin, ...feminine, long necked, and willowy with long fingers. She normally wears a mix of light and dark colors (i.e. a bottle green tank top, brown cotton shorts, and plain black sandals or a bright sapphire shirt with long sleeves that go down to her fingertips, black denim jeans, lace up black boots(high cut) or white ninja lace up ankle boots that look normal except they're open toed; etc.)She almost always wears a silver cross pendant or a god tortoise shaped hair comb. (Tortoises are one of the many Japanese symbols for good luck and long life.) Her Konoha Hitai-ate is black, and she alternates between wearing it as a headband (like Sakura Haruno) and a necklace (like Hinata and Temari in part 1).
Personality: Teruha seems to be born with the gift of empathy, but at the same time, she's a bit short tempered. She dishes out tough love, but doesn't always like receiving it.
Teruha's somewhat, but not completely, tomboyish. She's not "fashionable". She has some pretty colorful words to describe "fashion".
She's friendly enough, but can be a loner when she feels like it . (Same with being stubborn and determined.) She is, however, fun to be around (once you get to know her) and has a few close friends, namely Chitsuki &co. She admires Tsunade, Shizune, and Sakura Haruno.
She loves fire and the sea; words like "arcane", "transcend", opaque", "aspire", etc.; chocolate; sleep in days; card games; wolves, dolphins (from a distance), and cats (like her pet Bengal, Ren).
She's lazy at times, and a procrastinator. Teruha can be spunky. She takes things a little more deeply than ordinary people do.
She's an extremely talented authoress and an angst writer. She's intelligent and is often lost in a book/poetry/ what ever she happened to be writing. She loves myths and mysteries, and goes along with SOME superstitions, even though she doesn't believe in them.
She's a kick ass kunoichi. She makes an effort to stay calm, cool, and collected, no matter what the situation. She would give her life for her village and loved ones, and is super protective and loyal She has a hard time trusting people.
Story: Teruha was born in Konohagakure no Sato, daughter of Hatsumi (mother, name means "first born beauty") of Konoha and Hideaki (Wisdom, cleverness) Fuuchirinno. She was named for an old Hi no Kuni (land of fire) legend.

The story goes that once, long ago, before Konoha's birth, when shinobi ruled the land in the there was a woman by the name of Choumei, or "bright". she was a brilliant soilder, the kind of Kunoichi who came around once in a life time. She was trained by Chinami, the greatest medic of the era, and was of hi birth. No one was surprised when she was made the Head of the capital, Keirinkure no sato (The village hidden in the bautifulforests, often shortened to keirin), even though it was extremely rare to find a woman leader at that time.
Eventually the shinobi country was cast into war with a neighboring land. this is known as the first Legendary Shinobi War. The legend says that the opposing force completely over whelmed Keirin. the other country's general promised to let Choumei's people go unharmed- provided she commit seppuuku or hara-kiri ( a form of suicide where one slices one's own stomach open and bleeds to death). He gave her a week to make the decision. the villagers all assured Choumei that she couldn't do such a thing to herself, and that even if she did, it would be in vain; the general would betray them. But Choumei was very torn inside.
Finally, on the last day of her week of grace, she made her choice. She walked silently, accompanied by a single kunoichi, her closest friend, Mamemistu (who's name means "faithful light") to a private garden bordering her estate, right by the northern wall. Seeing the last cherry blossoms fall gracefully to the ground, to give way to fruit, she gave a sad smile. At the foot of her favorite tree, she knelt, pulling out a knife which her deceased husband had given her so that she might "defend herself and the village with both her life, and his spirit". She trembled just a bit as the dagger cut the soft folder s of the white silk furisode uchikake, and the red kimono underneath, Mamemitsu was later to say. When asked why she was wearing a uchikake furisode, Mamemistu said that there was a simple reason-
She loved her village the way a bride loves her husband, the way a mother loves a child. She was in a symbolic marriage with the very earth that supported the village.
-and so she gave her self for it. As the knife cut her smooth skin, and the red rivers flowed softly to the earth, something happened. Mamemistu never had time to give the mercy blow; choumei's spirit
had already fled. It was absorbed by the ground, and the Sakura trees, the air and the nearby waters of the flowing rivers. She became one with her home. and then all the villagers seemed to be able to feel Choumei's presence. She became the forests and the fields. she became Keirin. Her brother, Chokichi ( His name means "Long Lasting Good Luck" Ironic, Ne?) was angry at what his sister had been forced to, and urged the villagers to rally one more time around the Keirin flag, and fight, in her name. the villagers mourned at the loss of their light, and honored their leaders courage. Teruha, they began to call her, the shining leaf of the village hidden among beautiful forests.
In the battle even the elements seemed on the villager's sides. the wind howled, and pushed the advancing forces back. the rain lashed out, pelting and soaking the challengers, and cleaned the wounds of the fire ninja.
The villagers prevailed. That same night, Mamemitsu and Chokichi had the same dream: they saw Choumei laughing and smiling at them. she ran into the garden on her pavilion, which was completely changed. the whole thing was growing centered around a single tree with beautiful full green leaves, the size of a young child's hand. Around it lay perfectly intact blossoms, their color slightly faded, but they still gave scent.
Choumei ran to this tree resting it had on her. Slowly she began to fade, and a golden aura surrounded the tree trunk. Brightest of all were the kanji that appeared on the tree-

And years later, when the Shodaime (first Hokage) and his brother, descendants of Choumei-Teruha's, or has she had come to be known, simply Teruha, infant son, came to build Konohagakure on Keirin's ruins, Teruha's spirit welcomed her children home. Or so the story goes.

Anyway, Teruha's namesake aside, she has had a fairly normal past. She graduated at age ten, and was assigned to a team with her former teammates, Genkei (who adored her) and Masahiro (who treats her like a sister) as well as her sensei, Chinami.
She doesn't have many friends, because, although she's well liked, she just doesn't fit in. She is often labeled "Emo" or "goth" or "depressed" though she's not.
Her mother and father recently divorced, and now she's stuck somewhere between them both.
