Name: Yamahata, Hiroko
Age: 12-13 (pre-time skip)
15 (Shippuden)

Appearance: Since her hair was around the middle of her back and usually got in the way, Hiroko usually put it up in pigtails. Even though she liked her black colored hair, she always found herself annoyed whenever she trained or fought. So once during battle, she cut it. The length after that was around her shoulders, although the back was shorter than the front. Most of the time there is a small smile on her face and a kind look in her dull colored, green eyes.
The clothing she wore before the time skip was a black jacket with long sleeves well past her hands. Most of the time she kept the jacket unzipped which showed the bandages she wore underneath it. Also she wore a short, black skirt with a white belt with a black pouch on the side of it, and her legs were bandaged from her thighs all the way down to her ankles. She wore her headband around her neck, a place were it didn’t bother her to death.
Although her outfit doesn’t change as much after the time skip, she is shown with the same jacket, (which she now buttons at the top) and bandages underneath it. Although now she wears black shorts instead of a skirt, and wears two white belts with white pouches on both her right and her left sides. During the time skip, Hiroko grows out her hair. Instead of having the pigtails high up on her head though, she kept them low and over her shoulders.
Personality: Hiroko is a happy, kind, understanding and somewhat naïve. Some would probably even call her motherly, in a way. Although some things can cause her to be greatly annoyed and if she’s still annoyed, when she talks to someone she uses and annoyed sounding voice. Whenever she sees someone in trouble, she’ll try to help. Although sometimes the outcome is always that she helped, but ended up making it worse, something that usually makes her want to try to help them again. Because of her personality, she usually ends up being used by people. Something that when her friends talk to her about she usually shrugs it off and smiles, stating, “At least I was able to help!”
In her clan though, she is usually found helping little kids do something or breaking up fights between people.
Background: Because she was born as a second child (most people in the Yamahata clan who are in line to be the chief of the clan are supposed to only have on child) she was left in the care of her aunt who was also born as a second child. Her aunt, Aiko, was a kind, motherly person as well, which is where Hiroko got her traits from. While Hiroko was the second child, she was still great friends with her older sister. Umeko was naturally a strong person, being able to master things that took adults years, only in a few months. Because of this, Hiroko wanted to become a ninja to make her parents, as well as her aunt and sister proud. In doing so, Hiroko, and her two friends who she forced to join entered the academy and even though she wasn’t the best student, she still tried her hardest and was able to pass.
