Appearance: Sumi has long and straight silver, purple hair that comes down to her mid back and deep pink eyes. Sumi has a toned body from training hard, but really doesn't care too much about how in shape she is. She doesn't wear any makeup usually, but likes to keep her hair in braids or a ponytail. Sumi's usual appearance is her hair tied in a loose ponytail with a red ribbon, a maroon shirt with sleeves made of fishnets that come down to her elbows and white bandages wrapped around her hands like fingerless gloves. She uses her ninja headband like a headband, not across the forehead and the cloth on it is pink. She wears a short black skirt which usually draws attention to her from the opposite gender and pink leggings underneath that come down to her knees and black ninja sandals. She wears a pack to carry her ninja tools around her waist.
Personality: Sumi is very empathetic and is a good listener. She is trustworthy in a lot of ways and she considers herself a loyal friend. She has a very level head, but her temper usually comes out in a battle and she can be moody. She isn't very sensitive herself and she is able to brush aside insults fairly easily, but she hates it when guys say they are better than girls. She takes a lot of things seriously, but lives life in a fun way. Sumi is very romantic and loves things like roses and she isn't a total tomboy considering she likes pink, after all it is her eye color.
Background: Sumi was a ninja prodigy from a family of completely normal people. At the age of four she started training and graduated at the age eight as a genin. She trained hard and then at the age of twelve became a chunin. She started having doubts on whether she really wanted to be a ninja and took a break, helping her aunt make medicines for the hospital. While taking a break from being a ninja she did some research and realized that her family was descendants of the Dorachi Clan, an extinct clan in the Village Hidden in the Mist.
Sumi had inherited their Gekkai Genkei (sp?), they were known as the "Flying Shinobi" as they had the ability similair to telekinesis and often used it on themselves to "fly" in battles, making them extremely fast and hard to catch. They have the ability to manipulate chakra outside of their body's, allowing them to run it through other objects. This ability was what they were famed for, but if used to much could cause damage to your lungs which is part of the reason the clan went extinct. Sumi doesn't often use the ability to fly, but finds the telekinesis extremely useful in battle.
After mysterious raids on the village started to happen she came out of her "leave" and then became a Jounin at the age of fifteen. Ever since she has worked hard for her village and is one of the top ninjas. Her loyalty to them has never wavered.
