Character Profile Rules – Updated
1) The rules regarding character and canon relationships have been changed slightly with the introduction of canon applications.
Your character still cannot be related to a canon in anyway and they cannot be included in the background unless certain conditions are met.
i) A canon can only appear in your background as a minor event eg. As a classmate and it must not affect Kishimoto’s story in any way. Your character cannot have been Sasuke’s best friend during ninja academy as it is common knowledge Sasuke was a loner all through the academy!
ii) For a canon to appear, no matter how briefly, in your background, you must have the permission of the person RP-ing that character if you are not the RP-er yourself. Likewise, canon characters not being RP-ed by anyone are not allowed in your background.
2) Regarding Missing Nin. You may have noticed that you are not able to post characters in the missing nin board.
This is due to the apparent confusion as to what qualifies as a missing nin. A ninja classed as Missing is a dangerous criminal wanted by the police and government, usually for murder or betrayal to the village (i.e spying or leaking information).
It is NOT a ninja who has decided to leave their village purely because they felt like it. I’ve read so many profiles of apparent missing-nin who are only missing in the sense they didn’t tell anyone where they were going.
In order to apply as a missing nin, you must include the words “Missing Nin” in the rank; your bio will be posted in your ninja’s original village. If I feel that your character qualifies as a missing nin, I will accept and move the profile to the appropriate board
3) Ranks: Another small annoyance of mine is the sheer number of genius ninja we have here on Kenran. Jounin at 15? A very, very small minority of ninja actually make it to Jounin at 15.
Therefore, I'm imposing a slight age restriction on ranks.
Genin – 10 +
Chuunin – 12 +
Jounin – 17 +
Special Jounin – 18 +
The keyword has now been changed from "brilliant" to "Awesome"
