"No, it's fine, i don't mind." she said, taking a seat as well across from him. "When did you take the Chunin exam?" she asked curiously. Her mind flashed to a memory two years ago when she herself had taken th Chunin exams. She shivered at all the bloodshed that had taken place in the forest.

"Last year, I think. It was hard...I almost died twice. The two ninjas I had to fight were very hard...I'm lucky to even be alive." Ichi said and remembered what happened in those two fights. "And I think I was the only Sound ninja..." He added.

Haruka sighed slightly. "I took it a couple years back, you know, during the same year as the raid by that Orochimaru guy." She shivered at the very fact that she had dared to mutter his name. "That's probably why there weren't very many sound ninja last year." She said, trying to come up with an explaination for his previous statement.

"Luckily I wasn't in that raid...I was still a genin at the time. My sensei didn't want me in there since I wasn't strong enough." Ichi said. "I didn't even want to go in there" He added. That raid was a total disaster... He thought.

"Well, it's a good thing... that Gaara guy... he scared the crap out of me!" she exclaimed. "I don't know how many times i prayed i wouldn't be matched with him for a fight..." he shivered. She had met with Gaara, now a Kazekage, earlier that month. He was still the same creepy guy he had been during the exam, but he definetly had changed.
"But the important thing is that you're a Chunin now, right?" she added quickly, trying to reasure him. He seemed a bit down from his tone of voice. 'I didn't even want to go there.' It was a curious statemtent that perked her inerest.

"Ya, I am a Chunin." Ichi said. That would be fun if I could take the test again...it was fun fighting some people. He happily thought. He started to look around and he closed his eyes, not really knowing what to say. He sighed and opened his eyes. I don't want to bring up a random topic...I don't know what to say... He thought and he took off his ninja headband and held it.

Haruka shrugged and sighed. "Well, i got to go do something, before Sasunari finds me and threatens me to do something... 'fun'..." she shivered, remembering Sasu-chan's definition of fun: a long jump down a large waterfall. She had never been real found of heights. "If you'd like to join me, i'd enjoy the company." she grinned.

"Sure, I'll join you." Ichi said and smiled. He stood up and didn't put his ninja headband on. "Do you know where were going to go?" He asked and kept his headband in his hand. I woder where we might go to...I haven't even been around here before. He curiously thought.

"Well, i was getting ready to head out to that spring outside of town again." she said, looking back out into the street. "But if you don't want to i'm sure there are other things to do around here." She didn't want to just leep into her own ideas; she thought i most polite to consider is own views on an activity.

"We can go to the spring I guess...unless you want to go to a different part of the village." Ichi said and put his headband on his head like he was ready to go somewhere. I'd like to go in that spring she talked about, but I dont mind going anywhere else. He thought happily.

Haruka grinned. "Sounds good then!" she said happily, pushing herself up off the ground to stand. She offered a hand out to him to assist him up as well. "Lets go, already. I'd rather not get lectured by another ninja today." here eyes darted back to the street worriedly. "Come one you lazy bum, hurry up!" She added hasitly.

Ichi grabbed Haruka's hand and stood up. "Ok, I'm coming!" He said quickly and run to her and ran in any direction she went to. I wonder where were going...oh well. I'll just figure out when we get there! He thought and tried not to get distracted.

She grinned even more broadly. "Ok. Forward, march!" she yelled as she began a slight jog in the direction of he spring. They would have to exit the village and enter the wooded area just outside of it. She could see that he was following right behind her. "It's really awsome. Most of it is deep enought for cliff diving." she explained, talking over her shoulder.

"Sweet! I like jumping off of stuff, its fun!" Ichi said happily and kept on following Haruka. I hope its as good as I think it is...or better! He thought. While he was running, he took off his ninja headband. Its been on so long that he forgot how it felt like to run around without it on.

Haruka laughed. "I've yet to try it but i'm sure it will be a blast!" she exclaimed, they exited the village gate and after about five minutes of jogging, came to a tall cliff with water licking at it's bottom. The cliff towered above them. She beamed, looking up at it and then down to the clear, deep blue water. "This is going to be interesting..."
