Yuo slowed to a stop, ten meters from the bank. "Giving up?" he asked, chuckling. "Come on, you still have a chance!" he exclaimed, knowing there was no way she was going to win...but he'd still piggy-back her. Yuo turned and swam to the bank. Just short before the bank though, Yuo ended up swallowing quite a bit of the water from inside the lake. Yuo had to climb onto the sand and sit, coughing wildly. Yuo was not only tired from all the swimming, and not only did his joints ache and hurt, but he felt like the water was clogging his lungs. 'Damn...so stupid.' he thought.

Haruka shrugged, still smirking at him before he reached the bank. It was only then that her worry overwelmed her. She swam over to the bank to make sure he was ok. She leaned over him, tried to avoid his coughing. "You show-off..." she mumbled. "If you hadn't been going so fast you wouldn't be lying here now..." she shook her head as she laid her hand on his chest to check his breathing. "Are you alright?' she asked.

Yuo nodded and coughed again. "Yeah...I'm fine..." he said, coughing a few more times. "I just swallowed a bit too much water." Yuo said, coughing several more times before sighing and relaxing a bit. He breathed heavily, pushing a wet piece of hair from his face. "And...I'm not a show off." Yuo coughed again. "I've been swimming since I was little, every chance I got eiter Mother or Father would bring me out here and teach me to swim. And as I got older every chance I got I'd swim out here again and again."

Haruka sighed and again rolled her eyes. "Yes you were..." she said, leaning down to peck him on the cheek quickly. "I admire the fact that you enjoy swimming, but you don't have to go so fast... you were going to beat me anyway..." She suddenly tensed. "Great... i guess i own you a piggy-back ride don't i...." she looked down quickly in resentment for getting out to check on him. She could do it, but just barely.

Yuo laughed, but it was a bad mistake. He started coughing again and it took a few seconds for him to calm down and stop coughing. "Like I'd really let you piggy-back me." Yuo said. "You need to stop dreaming Haruka. Either way, if I won or not, I was planning to piggy-back you." Yuo said. "I'm way too heavy for you to carry, and even if you managed to get me up off the ground I'd end up breaking your back and making you fall." Yuo chuckled. "So I'm the one who owes you a piggy-back."

She quickly shook her head, embarassment coming into her voice and face. "No... no... it's fine... I don't want one..." she insisted quietly. "You don't owe me one, so... no thank you... Can we just go back to swimming... or do you need more time to recover from you... wooping cough?" she asked jokingly. "Or we could go home; it doesn't really matter to me..." She felt rediculous, especially because he had somewhat just questioned that she couldn't care him for at least awhile, which she was sure she could.

"Just give me 5 minutes." Yuo said, hitting his chest lightly and coughing again. "5 minutes is all I need, and then we can swim again..." Yuo took a few, easy, deep breaths to attempt to slow his cough and ease his aching joints. Yuo fell back into the sand, sighing and relaxing. "Now I'm going to need a shower to get all this sand out of my hair..." Yuo mumbled, sighing again, taking a few more deep breaths. His cough was done...and a couple minutes more of just relaxing would do his arms and legs some good.

(We try. Thanks Ikara... the truth is we can't figure out how to end it! XD)
Haruk nodded, staying kneeled down beside him, unsure of what else to do. She was silent while he tried to recover. But she could not help but smile at his comment. "You know, you might be able to get most of that sand out when you're hair dries..." she imformed him, still smiling slightly. She took in a deep breath, boredly, not sure as to what else to do. She began thinking of Mabuki for reasons beyond her, and about the real reason he hated Yuo. It really still puzzled her, because the excuses that he had given her never really made sense.

"No way..." Yuo said, looking up at her. "If you haven't noticed by now my hair is extremely thick and often knotted. The sand gets matted in my hair and none of it comes out." Yuo took a few more deep breaths in, his coughing was gone. He sat up. "And don't ask me if I'm sure, because I know from experience." he said. Yuo stood up. "Ok, I'm good now, let's get back in!" he exclaimed, running and diving into the water. He broke to the surface and smiled. "Come on!" he exclaimed happily.

Haruka sighed. He was still as active as ever. She followed behind him without argument, finding no point in trying to convince him that there were ways. So, she penciled back into the water. Coming back up she gasped for air and spat. A bit of water had gone up her nose, but it was nothing much. "Ok... so... what do you want to do?" she asked, after she had recovered. She swam over a bit closer to him.
