Yuo reached over to brush back her hair, after laying his hand on her cheek. "I'll never leave." Yuo said, leaning in closely to her, his forehead pressed to hers. "I promise..." he said. "I will never ever leave you. You won't have a moonless night ever again." he said.

It took Haruka a moment to realize that she was crying again. she wouldn't have realized if her vision of Yuo wa snot being distorted by the tears. She tried to blink them away quickly. "Thank you Yuo..." she managed to choke out quietly. "I love you." she smiled lightly. Nothing ment more than that promise.

Yuo wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closely and holding onto her. "You're welcome." Yuo said to her, running his fingers through her hair. "I love you very much Haruka. You're very dear to me." he said.

She wept at her face before he grabbed her and pulled her close to him again. She sighed, closing her eyes as she rested her hands on his back. It was nice to be considered 'dear' and special in a sense. especially when you had no one else that looked at you in that way. She lifted her head to look up at him slightly. "W-what was it like for you?' she asked suddenly, feeling rather silly. "I mean, i know the events and all but..."

Yuo laid his forehead against hers, smiling at her. "Dark." he replied. "Really dark and glum, no light, no nothing." he said. "The only thing there was, was the faint glow from my sister and Mother. And then you became my moon in the evening, and my sunshine in the daytime." he smiled more.

She sputtered out a light laugh through her thinning tears. But, did he mean that she was more important than his family? The way he described it it made it seem as though he was the biggest point in his life. "Wait... what about your mother and sister?" she asked quietly.

"My mother and sister mean a lot." Yuo said. "But at the time, as I was growing up, the void left by the fact that my father didn't want to be around eventually grew and grew and grew." Yuo bit his lip slightly. "And eventually, my mother and sister, just didn't fill that large, painful void that my father had left." he said. "They just didn't make me feel important enough, or strong enough...or even good-looking." he looked to her, wiping her face.

She sighed. Obviously this was a painful subject for him. She was sorry she had ever brought it up. "Alright, let's talk abot somethign else." she said quickly. "Umm... what's the biggest flop you had during your chuunin training, or the exam?" she asked. IT was random, and completely off the subject. Just like she wanted.

"My biggest flop?" Yuo laughed. "During the tournament, I was up against my opponent, and I was totally defenseless at the time." he said. "And I flipped backwards near the end of the fight and got my foot stuck in a hole." Yuo blushed. "You know what people look like when they get their tongue stuck to something cold?" he asked. "I looked like that, except with my leg stuck in a hole. Everyone was killing themselves laughing, and I actually won because my opponent fell over, impaled himself with his own kunai and broke his collar bone." he said. "Embarassing huh?"

Haruka snorted slightly as she tried to hold back a large fit of laughter. Just trying to breath let out little giggles. "He... fell... on his own... kunai?" she said, laughing slightly between words. "Nice.. nice story." she laughed fully now, her face hurting from trying to keep it back. "At least you won."

"Yeah, only because he needed medical attention and couldn't keep fighting." Yuo said. "I won because he was in hysterics." Yuo's cheeks were bright red. "Even after he impaled himself and broke his collar bone, he was still laughing at me!"

She smirked, grabbing onto his hand lightly. "It's still a funny story.. .but honestly the guy was probably crazy." she said, laughing again slightly. "Sounds like it from the description you make. Still laughing as he's bleeding to death. Insane."

"Probably." Yuo smiled at her, pecking her lips quickly and gently. "But yeah, once the medics got him off the field, he stopped laughing." Yuo said. "I felt bad...but, hey I won!" Yuo smiled brighly. "I got my Chuunin status and that made me happy."

There, at least he was smiling again. It was better than the previous subject on his father and all that. That subject always seemed to make him depressed. So her new strategy to avoid the subject entirely was now in play. "Chuunin is kind of strange though, isn't it?" she admitted. "I mean, from Genin where your on missions with your sensei to Chuunin where your leading. It's scarry."

"Not really." Yuo said. "The transtition from Genin to Chuunin was easy for me." Yuo said. "I rarely went on missions with my sensei, whose name escapes me at this moment. But yeah, I rarely ever went on missions with him. I got Lord Hokage to give me the D-ranked missions and I went to do them myself." he said.
