Suddenly, Kaname stood up. Hishime looked at him with a confused expression on her face. ‘I’m going to find them and kill them.’ She could hear him say.
“Kaname!” The young shinobi shouted his name before standing up herself. She stared at him for a moment, holding her injured arm to her chest. The boy’s skin was differently colored, and had strange spikes sticking out of it.
“Kaname-san! You’re in no state to fight anyone! Don’t be stupid!” She yelled at him. She had no idea how he’d react. He didn’t seem to be himself at the moment. The spikes looked very dangerous, and the expression on his face was slightly confusing her.

"I don't care!" Kaname yelled at Hishime. "You don't even know..." He made the spikes go to his arms. Anyone could see the permanent mark on his back. It was in japanese and the color black. He didn't notice that part of his shirt was ripped from the Kekkei Genkai. He just kept on walking. Blood was dripping down from his arms and legs, but he couldn't feel that. He was full of rage and anger. "I'm sorry Hishime..." He thought. He knew he was probably really worring her.

Hishime slowly shook her head. “No.. I don’t know! Of course I don’t know!” She yelled back at Kaname. Anger was raising inside of her, as he just continued walking like he didn’t care.
“Kaname! Wait! I can’t allow you to leave yet!” She said, raising her voice a little more. “Kaname..” Suddenly, her voice changed again. This time soft, and worried, with almost a hint of sadness. “Please listen to me.. You’re not going to make it if you leave now..”
She lowered her head, silently praying that he would listen. She knew he would be in serious trouble as he got into a fight again in the state he was in right now. She bit her lowerlip lightly. “I can’t stop you from taking revenge, but please.. I wish to talk to you..” She begged him.

Kaname stopped dead in his tracks. He made his Kekkei Genkai stop. He sighed and appeared in front of Hishime. "What do you want to talk about?" He asked. Now he wasn't in a hurry. "The tone of her voice made me know that she was worried. It sounded just like what Mana would do....if I was mad." He thought. He could finally feel the blood on his arms and legs so he sat down. He didn't want to faint yet again. His rage and anger went away, it was that tone that just made him normal.

A small smile appeared on her face. “Thank you..” She whispered quietly. She carefully sat down, facing Kaname. She rested her wounded arm in her lap, using her free hand to cover up the scars and re-opened cuts. “Kaname..” She started, the same soft tone in her voice. “Will you please tell me what made you so angry?” She asked, a small sigh escaping her mouth. “I know it’s a personal thing, but.. I wish to help you..”
“Killing.. people..” Hishime lowered her head again as she continued. “It doesn’t help.. It doesn’t cure anything..” She said. The young shinobi carefully made eyecontact. Another small smile crossed her face, but it soon faded again. “I know what I’m talking about..”

Kaname sighed. He couldn't make eye contact with her. "I thought you would bring this up..." He said. He turned around and showed her the permanent mark on his back. "See that? If you don't know what it means, it means 'Nightmare'..." He explained. He turned back around so she could see his face, but he didn't want to even look at her. "One day...I just got into a fight, on accident..." He started the story. "My brother, Katsu, was there too...We won but they somehow tied me up. They held my brother hostage...if I hurt any of the ninjas that were there, they would kill my brother." His voice started to shake. "And if I didn't hurt them, they would put that mark on my back..."

Hishime didn’t speak, just gave a small nod in understanding. She looked down, knowing he probably didn’t want to make any eyecontact. “I..” She started, but didn’t really know what to say. “I.. I’m sorry, I guess I shouldn’t have asked..”
The story he had just told her didn’t seem that extreme, in her opinion, but she could clearly see that he was suffering. She smiled kindly at him, hoping that he would feel a little bit better.
She sighed lightly. “Well, I guess now you also have the right to know some of my past?” She asked. The kunoichi looked away, she didn’t want to talk about it, but it seemed fair to her.

Kaname sighed and his voice wasn't shaky anymore. "Ever since then its been pretty rough for me..." He said. "I don't care if you tell me your past or not....it doesn't matter to me..." He said. Right now he sort of wanted to be alone to think this all through. He wanted revenge, but he doesn't even know where those three ninjas are. Plus, he couldn't even remember their faces completely. "I bet Katsu would remember..." He thought quietly. He still didn't want to make eye contact with Hishime. He didn't want anyone to look at his eyes, he was almost crying.

There was a painful silence. Hishime could hardly see a tear blinking in the corner of the boy’s eye, but it was easy to see that he was having a hard time to keep himself from crying. This was what she hated the most, watching people who’re in pain.
“The way..” The young shinobi broke the silence with a barely audible whisper. “The way how we survive, is what makes us who we are.” She said. “Everything that has happened in the past, every line on your face, every smile and every tear.. It has all melted together, and formed the person you are now.”
The young girl smiled. “When I first saw you, and when you first spoke to me, I immediately knew that you were a good person.” She said.
“And..” Her smile disappeared. “You said that I didn’t know, but to be honest, now that you’ve told me..” Another short silence followed. “I actually do know what it’s like, Kaname.” She said. The kunoichi lowered her, her gaze directed at the ground.

A cold chill went up Kaname's spine. "I don't like the person I am now..." He said. His tears went away. "I'm just a murderer, almost everyone I meet, they don't like me...and its not my fault I get dragged into all these fights..." He explained. "I just want to be more like my brother...he helps, I kill...we're almost two different people..." He sighed. "I can explain everything if you want to know..." He said softly. He just wished he could see his brother, get revenge, and not try and get into so many fights.

A small sigh came from her lips. “I don’t like the person who I am either... Noone is completely happy with who they are.” She said. Her ocean-green eyes were still focused on the ground as she spoke again. “Most people can’t see the soul inside the body. You’re a good person, Kaname, I’m sure..”
Hishime paused for a few seconds, biting her lowerlip lightly. “And you’re still young, there’s still a change to change. But only if you truly want that, it’ll happen.” She said. “You can tell me as much as you want, you don’t have to, I don’t care.”
Slowly, she moved her hand away, revealing the scars and cuts on her arm and wrist. Fortunately, they weren’t bleeding anymore, but her hand and arm were still covered in blood. “Just like you, I’ve also been marked... In a different way, but still..” She said, her voice quietly as she spoke. “I used to be cold-hearted, but I still managed to change..”

"I don't call 17, young. And I try and change, but its hard to get into so many fights." Kaname said. "You're just a kid! You shouldn't be in fights!" Kaname remembered what Katsu said years ago. He saw the scars on Hishime's arm and wrist. "Everyone has been marked these days..." He mumbled. He felt a cold chill up his spine again. "I think we're being watched..." He thought.
Katsu had his mask on and was wondering around the village, but he froze right when he was Kaname and Hishime there. "I'm suprised I see them here...and of course Kaname is hurt, but he's not completely healed..." He thought. He disappeared and reappeared behind Kaname. He put his hands next to each other and his chakra had a green color too it. He healed the cuts and scratches on his back that Hishime missed.

“Be glad Kaname, you still have your whole life to chance, I probably wont make it to my twentieth birthday.” Hishime said, covering the scars back up with her hand. “Five years.”
Suddenly, in a lightning quick movement, an unfamiliar figure appeared right behind Kaname. A green colored chakra appeared around his hands. Not knowing who the person was, Hishime pulled a kunai from its holster. She grabbed Kaname’s shoulder, pushing him aside with her free hand, and at the same time pulling herself back on her feet. She released Kaname and grabbed the figure’s collar with her armed hand, pushing it backwards, and slamming it’s back against a tree.
“State your business.” She said with a cold tone in her voice. The young shinobi held the kunai against the figure’s throat. Her free hand formed into a fist, and held close to it’s face.

Kaname felt his back heal from the person behind him."The clothes and his mask..." He thought. "Hishime, let him go." He said. We was suprised that he would even see his brother here, here of all places. "How ironic is this...he couldn't have came here at a better time." He thought.
Katsu got held and slammed into a tree. "I guess you never saw my mask, Hishime." He said with a calm tone. With his left hand, he took off his mask and he revealed his face. "At least my brother knows who I am just by looking at my clothes." He said.

A confused look crossed the kunoichi’s face. She was surprised at what Kaname had said. Why would she let this intruder go? He was unknown to her. Plus, he had appeared out of nowhere, without saying a word.
‘I guess you never saw my mask, Hishime.’ The girl’s eyes widened as she heard the man’s voice. She thought she recognized it for a moment. Her grip tightened on his collar as he moved his left hand towards his face. “Don’t move!” She demanded. But before she could even correctly react, he had already taken his mask off. ‘At least my brother knows who I am just by looking at my clothes.’
“K-Katsu..” The young kunoichi mumbled quietly before quickly letting go of his collar. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” She said, turning her head away, directing her gaze at the ground again. Hishime slowly stepped away from Katsu before holstering the kunai.
“You shouldn’t have appeared so damn suddenly, Katsu.” The young girl said. She was a bit angry about that sudden appearance, and the fact that he had scared her half to death.
