Yuo looked up from his hands. "Nothing." he said. "She freaked when she saw Shizuke limping down the hall and immediately got to work checking her ankle. Shizuke freaked and then I told Haruka that Shizuke was probably developing a grudge on Haruka because Shizuke was not happy." Yuo said, taking in a deep breath. "And then she freaked at me. I love her caring side! She made it seem like I hated her caring side yet I love it! I fell in love with that side too, not just her stubborn side, but her wonderfully caring side that made me actually feel important!"

Ling shook her head, but put the story to mind. The backround imformation helped. "That's not what i ment. I mean, what might have happened in her... i don't know... her past that would affect her feelings towards you saying that Shizuke was developing a grudge..." he looked down at his hands, trying to figure this out himself. This was also so awkward, being as, ever since his sister had brought it up, he had found old feelings for Haruka coming back. But he was doing his best to not show it at all. He had worked so hard to convince Yuo to kiss her, to help better his relationship with her, and there was no way he was destroying it now.

Yuo just shook his head. "I don't know." he admitted. "It could have something to do with her being stuck with that family that tortured her." he said. "I don't know, I just want her happy." Yuo sighed, falling back onto his bed and sighing. "I just want to be able to go and sit with her and look through her mothers chest." he said. "I'd rather be down there with her, then up here trying to block out my past." he shut his eyes and took in a few deep breaths. "I love her too much I think."

Ling sighed and looked down, trying to make sense of all of this. "Tortured... didn't know about that..." he mumbled slightly. "Well, if you want her happy, maybe you should just go down stairs and ask her what's wrong. If there's one thing I know about Haruka, she likes it when people address her directly about things that are a problem with them. We always joked that she was going to be a therapist." he smiled encouragingly. "Just go and ask her what you did to... upset her.... then try to make sense of how to sort it out."
Haruka sighed, rubbing her head at the temple, unsure of what to do. She felt awful for giving Yuo such a cold shoulder before, and now he was upstairs probably beating himself up over it. She stared out the window and sighed, curling her knees to her chest as she tried to sort out the best course of action.

Yuo sat up and looked at Ling. "Why is it that you seem to make more sense than anyone else I know?" he asked, chuckling. He slipped off the bed and wiped his damp face and combed his fingers through his hair. "You're going to have to come to Konoha often. You could be of some use when I need someone's help." he smiled as he slipped the door open again. "If I come clammering up the stairs again, something went wrong." he said as he slipped out, walking down the stairs slowly and quietly, hoping that Haruka hadn't gone off anywhere.

Ling nodded, smiling happily. "I'm glad i could be of assistance..." he said kindly. "Make sure you don't come back up!" he called after him as he walked out. Hopefully his plan would work out and things would get patched up.
Haruka sighed, burrying her face in her knees as she tried to think something up. What could she do? She could run upstairs and appologize. Or would he just keep the door shut on her and not let her in? Her mind was not thinking straight and she was getting extremely frustrated.

Yuo reached the bottom of the stairs and swallowed hard, the room almost seeming to shift around in his eyes. "H-Haruka." he said, his voice shaking a bit. He pushed himself forward over to her, putting his hands on the arm of the couch. "Haruka? What happened to make you upset?" he asked. "I mean, I love your caring side. The way you put it, it just made it sound like you thought I hated your caring side." he said, pushing himself over to sit by her. He looked down at his hands, tempted to just reach out and touch her shoulder.

Haruka's head shot up when she heard a familiar voice, one she did not expect to hear unless it was angrly. She stared at him for a long moment in silence as he approached her, finally sitting next to her. "I..." she tried to start, but she choked on her words. "I didn't say that you hated it... i was meaning in reference to Shizuke... you said she didn't like being cared for... so... yeah..." she finally explained briefly. "And... i was just upset... that... umm... that you were siding with her on... the grudge thing... If that makes sense..." she swallowed, her head dropping down. He was being so frank and forward, nothing like he normally did. He usually avoided her when she was upset.

Yuo sighed, having a feeling that she would pull away, but he touched her shoulder gently. "She's not use to it unless it's caring when it comes to making her stop crying." he said. "She's sort of like you in a way. You're not a fan of people being so concerned about you, it's the same with her." Yuo looked down a bit. "And, I wasn't trying to side with her. I didn't want it to sound like that. I'm really trying to not side with either. I don't want to get Shizuke upset, and I didn't want you upset either."

She grumbled slightly. "That different..." she mumbled. She actually had a reason for someone not taking care of her. She had always taken care of herself and she did not want to burden others with her problems. Shizuke, on the other hand, just did not want it. No real reason, not that she knew of anyway. His hand suddenly gripped her shoulder lightly and bit her lip. It was nice to have him touching her again, after awhile. She missed it, despite the fact that it had been about 20 to 25 minutes. Surprisingly, she did not flinch a bit.

Yuo sighed. "I said sort of." he said. "Can you turn around?" he asked, looking down somewhat sadly. "I want to see your face. I want to see the beautiful face that I really never meant to upset." Yuo swallowed hard for a third time then moved a bit closer to her. He wiped his face with his free hand and sighed. His face was still damp and he was madly trying to get his face dry before she turned around. "Please just turn around so I can see you. I feel so silly, I should be looking through your mothers trunk, not trying to get you to turn around."

Haruka bit down on the inside of her cheek, debating with herself. Finally, she decided, and turned her head to look over her shoulder. When she saw his face, which was soreful and... surprisingly wet. Had he been crying. She continued to turn, not completely facing him with her entire front. Looking up to him curiously, she reached up to run a hand over his cheek. "Were you..." she stopped. he question was already answered. He had been. There was no doubt that there had been tears here not long ago. "Yuo, i love you..." she said quickly.

"Oh gosh you saw." Yuo chuckled and smiled as he looked at her. "And I'm not upset because of you...ok...sort of." he rubbed the back of his head a bit. "It was just the way you spoke to me, it didn't only make me feel like you thought I hated your caring side. It brought back the painful memories of my past." he said. He laid his head back on the couch, his blue eyes still looking at her. "The way you spoke was like a lot of the kids spoke to me when I asked if I could join in on there games."

Haruka jumped, suddenly the full impact of what she had done dawning over her. "I... I sounded..." she swallowed hard, a huge lump clumping in her throat. "I... i didn't mean to..." she bit her lip, quickly wipping at her own eyes, trying to keep back the tears. She was such a terrible person. "I"m so sorry... i'm so sorry..." she quickly threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, trying her best to make up for what she had done. "And don't give me that, 'Oh it was my fault. Don't appologize' routine. Just accept my damn appology..." she burried her face in his shoulder. "I'm sorry... so sorry..."

Yuo chuckled and smiled as he wrapped both his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "Ok!" he exclaimed. "Just please stop saying sorry so much and don't cry." he said. "If you'll relax and just calm down I'll kiss you." he said, pulling her a bit closer to snuggle her. "I accept your apology, just let me kiss you so we can look through your mothers trunk." he said. "We do have to ge Riiko out of the hole don't forget." Yuo moved Haruka from him a bit and put his hand on her cheek gently.
