Haruhi laughed. "According to my mother, it's completely possible. It's like she tastes every 'mistake' i make. There's always something." she waved her hands to mock her mother, voice and all. "There too much water in the mix. You nearly burnt it, i can taste it. It may look the same, but it taste completely different. Blah blah blah..." she laughed again.
Haruka smiled back slightly. "Right right... i should know that..." she replied. "But you know... you're getting me into a conversation without even the slightest subject..."

I giggled. "Oh I'm so glad my mother isn't like that." I said. "When I was younger and cooking everytime I'd make a mistake my mother would tell me that it was ok and that even she made a mistake sometimes. Then she'd help me fix my mistake." I smiled. "I hope my mother is doing ok on her own back at home. I've never left her for this long." I said.
Yuo smiled. "Don't need a subject." he said. "I simply asked a question and a conversation started, there was no need for a subject."

Haruhi quirked her head. "Really? But I thought you all were ninja." she asked confusedly. "Don't you're missions every take you away for a week or more?" she looked down to her own plate of food again, and could not help but wish that her mother were more like than, and less of a perfectionist. It got on her nerves so much that her mother had to have everything little thing exactly her way and was so controling.
Haruka shook her head, still smiling as she did so. "You're rediculous..." she said as she grabbed her glass and took a quick drink. "I mean, shouldn't a conversation have a subject?"

"WE are." I said. "Yukio and I are Genin though, not Chunin. Chunin do higher ranked missions than us Genin do. The Genin do usually D ranked missions, and they don't take very long." I said. "The missions are often around the village too. Cleaning yards, weed pulling, babysitting, etc." I smiled a bit. "Chunin do C ranked missions, sometimes D." I said, with Yukio nodding.
Yuo chuckled. "Yes, they do. But they don't always start with one." he said. "Our subject would be about conversations and if they have subjects or not." Yuo laughed as he sipped at his soup.

Haruhi shrugged. "Well, i don't know much about the Ninja ranks and what not..." she said with a slight laugh. "I mean, i've just lived here my whole life. But i do remember a few Genin going through here on an... escort mission... for the race in the next town... They passed through here..." she smiled. "They ate food at the resturant down the street. I'll never forget them... especially the loud boy..." she laughed. "Anyway, they were in the next town for... about a half a week..."
Haruka rolled her eyes. "Don't be a smar alick..." she said as she continued to nibble on her foot and sip at her own soup. It was very good, but a bit spicy for her taste. However, she could handle it.

"Ranks and what not are easy." I said. "Academy student is the first rank, everyone starts as an Academy student. Then Genin, the rank you get when you graduate and pass the Genin Exam." I looked at Yukio, hoping she would continue. "Then Chunin, the rank you obtain after passing 3 tests for the Chunin Exams." Yukio said, after finishing her mouthful of food. "Then comes Jounin, which you obtain after passing the Jounin Exams, that or ANBU." Yukio said.
Yuo laughed. "I'm not being a smart alick." Yuo said, chuckling again. "I'm telling it as it is!"

Haruka shook her head. "Woah woah woah..." she mumbled. "Too much imformation at once... I don't need to learn all of that... But i think it makes sense..." she sighed. "Genin, Chuunin, Jounin or ANBU." she repeated the order. "I think i got it.." she smiled as she finished off her bowl of soup and started on her other dishes she had on her plate.
Haruka sighed. "Sure... right..." she said lightly, sipping again on her soup. "You just so happened to be a smart aleck in the process of telling it as it is..."

I smiled happily. "And the mission ranks are easier. Genin do D-ranked. Chunin do C, sometimes D or B. Jounin, B or A, and ANBU do A." I said.
Yukio nodded. "D being easiest, C being a little bit harder. B being right hard, but not really hard. And A being hard...or more like dangerous." Yukio said.
Yuo stuck his tongue out at her, then after munched on a sushi. "Yeah yeah..." he mumbled. "Not like you aren't!" he laughed after swallowing his sushi. Yuo ate the rest of his soup happily. "And by the way Haruhi, the soup is wonderful."

Haruhi nodded. "I get that." she said quickly. That was not a hard concept to grasp.
Haruka gapped for a moment at his comment. Smart aleck. Her. She shook her head before she turned her head back down to her plate, not sure what else to say. Haruhi turned to Yuo for a moment. "Well, thank you... nice to hear you like it as well..." Haruka's ears perked with a sudden idea. "Yeah... its great Haruhi..." she said with a smirk. "In fact..." she took a spoonful of cooled soup and splashed it on Yuo's face. "I think he likes it a bit too much..." she said, snickering.

My jaw dropped and I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Haruka had just splashed Yuo with soup, it was going to be hilarious to see his reaction.
Yukio covered her mouth, her mouth was full of sushi and she didn't want to be rude. She giggled like mad, swallowing quickly before laughing again.
Yuo just sat there, not impressed as soup dripped from the tips of the hair around his face. "Excuse me Haruhi while I go clean up." Yuo said, slipping from the table quickly and quietly. Not only was he embarassed, but highly upset that he had just looked like a fool infront of Haruhi, who was nice enough to cook and let them stay there.

Haruhi laughed slightly, trying to keep it to a minimum as Yuo did not seem to be enjoying the little bit of attention he was getting. "Oh... dear..." she said through her giggling.
Haruka's face fell when Yuo left the table. She that that he would have at least laugh a little. Perhaps even splash her back. She looked down at her plate in disappointment and shame, wishing she could appologize now. "Ah... great... i messed up again..." she mumbled.

I eventually tipped backwards onto the floor and laughed again. I sighed and relaxed from my position on the floor. "Nice Haruka..." I covered my mouth, giggling again.
Yukio was giggling even more at the sight of me on the floor. She was having quite a bit of fun at dinner today!
Yuo grumbled to himself as he trotted upstairs and into the bathroom, washing the soup from his face, chin, and scrubbing out the bit of soup on his shirt. After that Yuo began to wash the soup from his hair, but was failing miserably at getting it all out.

Haruka sighed, looking to Shizuke unamused for a moment before she looked away again. "Please, be quiet Shizuke..." she muttered to herself, almost quiet enough that Shizuke would not even be able to hear. She stood from the table. "I'll just excuse myself... I'll be outside if you need me..." she said, placing her plate and silver ware at the sink before she stepped out of the back door.
Haruhi was still giggling slightly. "Oh... ok Haruka..." she said, nt really sure what her issue was.

I giggled again. Oh now they were both gone from the table. "This was amusing huh Yukio?" I asked, looking up at her.
Yukio nodded. "Yes, very!" she giggled.
Yuo finally finished getting the soup out of his hair and he combed a few pieces of stray hair back and pinned them there. He tied his hair back into a fresh, new low ponytail, then slipped back downstairs, a slight blush on his cheeks. "Sorry about th- wait, where's Haruka?" Yuo asked, looking around.
I pointed at the back door. "She went out back Yuo-san, she's upset because you left the table."

Haruahi nodded in agreement with the other two girls. "I don't think that it was that bad for you to leave the table, honestly..." she said to Yuo, a grin on her face still. "It was actually kind of goofy of her... she hasn't done that in a long time, i'm sure..." she laughed. "Maybe you hurt her feelings?" she suggested.
Haruka took a deep breath, leaning against the back of the house, trying to calm herself down. She felt bad now. It was a stupid move to try and be funny.
