Ling nodded. "Yeah... it's a line of work in the village that's fallen on our family for years." he sighed. "Haruhi will more than likely get it when mom dies." Haruhi blew a hair annoyedly out of her face. "I told you, i have no intention of taking that stupid job." she grumbled. "It's stupid.." Haruka laughed. She had the urge to scoot closer to Yuo, but held back.

I laughed at Haruhi's comment. "And if you don't take over Haruhi, who will?" I asked, still chuckling. Yukio laughed. "Are you allowed to tie your hair up Haruhi?" Yukio asked. Yuo looked over at Haruka and moved a bit closer to her. He really hoped Haruhi and Ling's mother didn't get home soon, or she might be upset with Haruka.

She sighed. "I can't pull back my hair unless i'm working or cooking. Tradition. "As for who would take over," Haruhi pointed at her brother. "Him... he's better at it than i am." Ling shrunk down into his seat. "Not really. So i set up one good couple... mom destroyed it before it turned into anything..." he rubbed his head sheepishly. Haruka smiled. Partly at her friend's sheepish comment, partly because she felt Yuo shift next to you.

I still didn't thin the whole matchmaking idea was grand. "And if Ling sucks at it, and the entire thing crumbles, then who takes over?" I asked. Yukio nodded slightly. "Man, your tradition is harsh, you should be able to pull it back whenever you want." Yukio said. Yuo looked over at Haruka and smiled. As long as Haruhi and Ling's mother didn't try to match Haruka with someone, they would be fine.

Ling shrugged. "No idea. It hasn't happened yet so..." he shrugged again. Haruhi threw her hands up. "I KNOW!!! Finally! Only and outsider would understand..." she covered her mouth quickly. "Oh... sumimasen!" Haruka returned his smile, hoping that it wasn't suggesting anything. She wasn't sure what Ling's reaction would be. It was quite obvious that Shizuke and Yukio had spilled to Haruhi.

I laughed. "That was funny." I said. Yukio chuckled and nodded. "Outsider? Harsh much! Why not visitor?" Yukio asked, still chuckling. Yuo chuckled and moved over a bit closer to Haruka. "Let's not give any ideas to Ling ok?" Yuo whispered. "That could be a bit of trouble." he chuckled. Yuo looked over at me and smiled, I was getting along with pretty much everybody, so far that it.

Haruka nodded simply, barely noticable. Haruhi sweatdropped. "I'm really sorry. It's just what everyone that visits is called. It's my mom's fault. She the one that started that. I just do it without knowing. Darn it!" she hit her head down on the coffee table. Ling stood up suddenly. "Yo, Yuo. Could i show you something?" he said in a friendly tone. Haruhi looked up at him surprisedly. "It's a guy thing, you wouldn't understand."

I laughed again. "Don't worry about it Haruhi-chan." I said. Yukio nodded. "I'm not taking it like it's an insult, I was just saying!" Yukio exclaimed. "Does oyour mom start everything?" Yukio asked. Yuo looked over at Ling, then at Haruka. He nodded and stood up, his blue eyes staring at Ling. "Course." Yuo said, walking over to Ling, prepared to follow him wherever.

Haruhi snickered, "Unfortunately, pretty much yes." she admitted. "I love my mom but she just goes overboard with everything. I think she gets it from grandma." Haruka gave him a comforting look and nodded. "Go ahead, us girls will befine." Ling nodded then. "ok just follow me." He headed out the door. When they were out of ear shot he whispered. "You're in love with her." he had a smug smirk on his face.

"The mother-daughter thing huh?" I asked. "It's alot like my mother and me, my mother is very enthusiastic about things, like myself." I said. I looked over at Yuo and nodded. Yukio chuckled. "My mother was gentle and kind, I only get part of that." Yukio said. Yuo laughed. "Like I can believe that." Yuo chuckled. He followed Ling to wherever he was going. Yuo blushed madly. "Is there a problem with it?" Yuo asked.

Haruka figured that she might as well join into the social actvity at the moment. "That's pretty obvious, but you always say you are more like your father, Shi." she laughed. Haruhi nodded, "Heh, well i take more after my dad, and my bro takes more after our mom. Maybe the whole mother-daughter thing skipped out generation." She looked over at the door that Ling and Yuo had exited from, "He has a nack for it, matchmaking. Only, he does it for people that actually are right for each other. Ling shook his head. "Absolutely not. Just comfirming a hunch i've had the whole time. I'm just as observant as my sister."

I chuckled and nodded. "I do get a few things from my mother, but most of my traits come from my father." I said. "Shizuke's mother always said that you could tell that Shizuke was her fathers daughter." Yukio said. "That sounded confusing, would anyone else agree?" Yukio asked outloud. I sat up and looked at Haruhi, a wide-eyed look on my face. "Only if Ling had the job before! Then you could be with your perfect match Haruhi!!" I exclaimed.

Haruhi blushed. "Maybe... i've been trying to convince him to take over the matchmaking circiut for quite sometime, but he won't listen." she said with a disappointed shake of her head. "It would be nice."
When Yuo did not answer, Ling smirked again. "Have ya kisssed her?" he asked curiously, peeking into the room in a way that he would not be noticed.

"Try again! It may be different now, does he know why you're trying to convince him?" I asked Haruhi. I threw my arms up in he air. "It's a wonderful idea, get him to take the job, stop your current plan, and live happily!" I exclaimed. Yukio rolled her eyes. "And if it fails?" Yukio asked. I shrugged. "Then I don't know." I admitted. Yuo jumped. "What!?" he exclaimed.

Haruka intervened a this point. "You're plan, Haruhi? You've been promise already!?" now she was concerned. Haruhi didn't deserve to get married to some old man, not yet. She nodded, "Yeah... Mr. Kisiami. Remember him?" she looked down. "I wish i could convince Ling. It would stop all these stupid traditions for the whole town, not just me..." she grabbed a pillow and hugged it to her chest. "And then, i could tell Ryku how i feel..."
Ling laughed boomingly. "Calm down now. I'm only asking." she smirked again. "So... have you?"
