"That's unfair." I said. "It's not fair when the guy you love isn't the guy you have to marry." I said. I sighed and looked down at my feet. "I was almost commited to someone, it's was Yukio's brother actually, who fell in love with me." I said, crossing my arms and frowning. Yukio nodded. "Yuuhi got attached to Shizuke, and she didn't love him, so now Yuuhi's all alone." Yukio said. "Matchmaker, grand." Yuo sighed. "So she's going to attempt to pair you with someone, and I'm starting the get the idea that Haruhi doesn't like who she's paired with." Yuo said, looking up at me, Haruhi, and Yukio.

"This is far worse..." Haruhi answered, her eyes closed. They were nearing her house. "Believe me... Also, she'll probably get nagged about her attire, and the fact hat she cut her hair." she fipped her own long brunette hair back and motioned to her knee length dress. "More traditions."
Haruka kept her hand over her face. "Exactly. I didn't even think about this... Maybe we should just head back home..."

"Oh." I said. "That's just so unfair, do you like living here Haruhi-chan?" I asked her. I was so glad I wasn't born in the Land of Tea, I was happy with Konoha. Yukio picked up her pace to keep up with me and Haruhi. Yuo sighed. "We can't go home now, we just got here, let's just stay a night or two with Haruhi, if her mother lets us of course, then if it gets out of hand we can head back." Yuo said.

Haruhi nodded, as if this were a rediculous question. "Oh course i do. I love doing my work out in the fields, the wonderful senset view we have up on Twilight Hill, and so much more." she smiled. "I could never bring myself to leave here. Niether could Haruka either, when we were little. Which makes me wonder why she ran away." They arrrived at the front pouch of a large two story house. "Well, here we are." she said nervously. "Shall we go in?"
"But i don't want to...." she trailed off, not even wanting to think about some of the possibilities. "Fine... but if she even mentions marriage i'm out of there..."

I looked up at the house. "It sounds nice here, but I still love Konoha." I said. I looked over and smiled at Haruhi. "If you didn't have traditions here Haruhi, what would you want?" I asked her. Yukio hid behind me a bit. She was still nervous about meeting Haruhi's mother and brother. "Then I'm going to have chase after you." Yuo said. "She can mention marriage all she wants, you've got your sights set I'm sure, and it's not fair if she were to change it all." Yuo said.

Haruhi thought for a moment before she opened the door and answered. "If i could, I would cut my hair boy short. It's always in my way, since i'm constantly climbing trees and helping water the crops outside of town." Her smiled spread widely. "That... and i'd tell Ryku that i love him..." She sighed dreamily before opening the door. "Shall we?" she said, stepping inside herself.
"Fine.... maybe not if she mentions marriage... if she mentions my marriage plans, then i'm gone..." she smiled up at him, releasing his hand. "Come on, let's get this on with..." She followed behind Haruhi.

I trotted in behind Haruhi. I tied my hair up quickly in a bun, it was beginning to get in my face. "You would love the freedom in Konoha then." I said quickly, so no one would hear me, except Haruhi. Yukio bowed her head and slipped in beside me. "Your marriage plans, thats nice." Yuo said jokingly, following quickly behind Haruka, not wanting to be away from her for a moment.

Haruhi rolled her eyes, almost at the exact moment Haruka did, but didn't answer Shizuke. Haruka on the other hand quickly began a retort to Yuo. "Hey, whats that supposed to--" she stopped when they all entered the front room, where a large boy was sitting in a chair. It was clear he had yet to grow into his height. He stood. "Hey, welcome home, Haruhi!" he greeted in a, husky voice. He looked back at the visitors. "Friends of your's?" Haruhi nodded quickly. "You don't recognize Haruka?" Haruka waved meekly at him. "Hey, Ling. Long time no see." she greeted. His eyes were nearly wide enough to let his eyes fall out on the floor.

I was amazingly shocked now that I had actually seem Ling. I hid behind Yuo, nervous about Ling. Yuo bowed his head and looked back at me. I jumped and quickly came out from hiding to bow my head. Yukio bowed her head and kept close to me, very cautious about Ling. Yukio was much smaller than Ling, and so was I!

Ling grinned widely. "This is amazing!" she exclaimed, grabbing her arm and pulling he into a lifted hug. Her feet hung and she was practically having the life squeezed out of her. "Ling.... can't.... breath..." she managed to say. He released her, smiling sheepishly as he towered over her. "Gosh, you're huge! You've got like a foot on me..." she looked up at him, gauging. "You're what, 6' 5", 6' 6"?" she guessed. "Six foot seven..." he corrected.

I hid back behind Yuo, now terrified of Ling. I gripped onto Yuo's shirt and buried myself in his back. Yuo rolled his eyes at me. He turned back to Ling and smiled. He held his hand out. "Tsukiyama Yuo." Yuo said, introducing himself as he was taught. Yuo glanced back at me, hoping for me to come out from hiding. Yukio stared at Ling, hoping that she wasn't being rude.

Ling took his hand firmly a grin still on his face. Haruka found it hard to believe that Ling was a year younger than Yuo. "Nice to meet you. Harushimo Ling." Haruka laughed. "Shizuke, you don't have to be afraid. Ling's as soft as a sponge. He wouldn't hurt a fly." "Hey!" Ling quickly objected. "It's not like i cry or anything." He sat back down, motioning for them all to take any of the remaining seats.

I came out from hiding and slowly walked farther inside. I was still very cautious, not to mention tiny. I bowed my head again and smiled a bit. "Tsukiyama Shizuke." I said quietly. It was hard to believe such a big person was harmless! At my own courage Yukio came out too. She waved happily and smiled, her blue hair falling down by her shoulder. "Oro Yukio." she said happily.

Haruka sat down on the couch across from Ling's armchair. "Well, now that everyone's introduced, let's get down to bussiness." She smirked. "Do you think your mom would mind if we crashed her for a night or two?" Ling thought for a moment. "Na, i'm sure it's fine. But we'll check with her when she gets home from 'work.' " he put air quotes around his final word.

I sat down on the ground with Yukio beside me. Yuo sat on one side of Haruka. "Work, you mean, the matchmaking?" I asked Ling. Yukio smiled. "Why is your mother the matchmaker?" Yukio asked. Yuo smiled, he was already finding this place nice. Yuo didn't want to give Ling the idea of his relationship with Haruka, unless Haruhi said anything first.
