Kankurou was in trouble, Karasu got hit off to the side, slammed backwards into the trunk of the tree it was standing on, it recovered however only to have Kankurou rip it across to catch the shuriken flying at his head. Karasu was beggining to jam, that was bad, that took out his main defensive power and now they were both attacking him. Was Ikara down? Was she hurt, or was she just being a ***** and leaving her companion for dead. No she wasn't down. Wait, not companion, begrudging team mate. Not that she was acting like his team mate. Kankurou had to do something, there was a kid charging at him and a chick over there somwhere with a bow and probably an arrow pointed at his head. Sanshouou would only hold for so long but that might be just long enough.
He pulled the puppet over to his side and slid under it as it landed. The jounin popped up a clone in the space with him and substituted away to an area of dense foliage. They should have been able to see him there but he wasn't concerned about them, he was concerned about Ikara. As much as he hated her, he knew that Gaara was counting on him to protect her and she meant alot to him. So, again begrudgingly he peeked out of the bushes. Not at Sanshouou, who's defenses would have probably been breached, but at the rest of the battle field. he didn't see Ikara anywhere, which meant, f she was hiding, he had to get a closer look to find her.
Unfortunately that meant going back onto the battefield. And that was bad news for Kankurou, unless he was crafty. He created a clone and summoned Koari, his third and final puppet. He climbed into the chest cavity and withdrew the blades meant to impale his prey so that his enemies couldn't use them against him. But never the less there were gaps in the cavity that they could throw kunai or shuriken in so Kankurou would need to be careful of them. Koari jumped down from the brach and fell full weight towards the girl, meanwhile his clone ran obviously along the branches pretending to be doing so to avoid being hit while controlling his puppet. Hopefully, that worked.

Ikara remained stationary in her hiding place beneath the water. Using her water-adaption of Gaara's third eye-jutsu, she had a perfect view of the battle field.
Kankuro seemed to be struggling on his own but she needed time to analyse the situation. Things weren't working out how they normally did. Was it possible she had finally met her match in the Time ninja? She shook her head; no, that was impossible. She was powerful, she knew it herself. Or was she just saying that because her ego was getting in the way?
She closed her eyes and shook her head again; why on earth was her head filled with all these thoughts lately.
She sighed. Her eyes widened. Something was wrong, something was happening that wasn't supposed to. She grabbed her throat; the water.....she could feel the water gushing through her nose and filling up her lungs. If she didn't hurry, she was going to drown. She re-emerged smack in the middle of Kankuro and his opponent. Grabbing her chest, she coughed hard, feeling light-headed and breathless.
She collapsed on the battle-field, still spluttering out water and leaving Kankuro to fight on his own.

Juni looked aroud for any sign of either of the two ninja. Her keen eye noticed two things, one ninja, or a clone of some sort, in the trees, and what seemed to be a third puppet, coming strait for her. Bringing up her guard quickly, she was barely able to get out of the way with serious injury. How ever, she did sustain some damage to her lower legs, being that they were the last things to get out of the way.
Gritting her teeth, she desided that, for the time being, the best bet was to go for this puppet attacking her. Unless the ninja in the trees attack, she wouldn't need to worry about him. Pulling an arrow from her quiver, she drew it back, infusing chakra for good measure, and aiming it at the puppets torso. She released and it went cutting through the air.

Kankurou sighed, Ikara had just collapesed in the center of the battlefield. That was just great, did she ever do anything helpful?! How could Gaara stand to put up with this girl so much. She was an absolute pain in the ass! Go around hindering him, then dissapears, leaving him alone, then re appears, only to fall over in the middle of the fight! Why does he even bother with her. She was so useless, kankurou was beginning to think he might have Koari just accidentally step on her in the heat of battle. Or maybe not, but still, he felt like doing that.
He looked out of the puppet down at his target, it would appear that she had avoided his attack, mostly anway. She looked like he had hurt her leg, but that wa all, kankurou was hoping that move would completely take out one of the combatants. Or not. These two were alot better than he had expected, they were quick strong and clever, and now that it was only him, he was beginning to wonder if he was going to be able to beat them, his situation was certainly beginning to look grim.
He needed a plan, and fast, then an arrow busted into the shell of the puppet, sticking half way into the chest cavity and coming close to the jounin's head. He gritted his teeth, this certainly wasn't going well, but no one was expecting him to be in this puppet, so that meant he had the element of surprise. He quickly worked out a plan and pulled out a kunai from his belt, preparing himself for whathe was about to do, this could get real ugly.
Kankurou parted the openning to the chest cavity and sprung out, flying down at Juni he had the kunai raised above his head ready to fly down and strike at her. She was on the ground hopefully couldn't move properly and hopefully he would get her. If not, he would try to grab her and throw her into the puppet's chest. he just hoped this worked, or he was stuffed.

As Inusen watched the battle unfold, he was surprised at the sudden reappearance of the enemy kunoichi. He hadn't figured that she would go down as easily as this. Inusen began to wonder how badly she had been hurt, then Juni almost was crushed right in front of his eyes. Snapping back into attention immediately, and rage flickering behind his eyes, Inusen raced towards his ally to provide reinforcement. If he had not focused entirely on getting to Juni, he might've noticed the ninja copy of Kankurou in the trees.
As it was, Inusen barely got to Juni in time to see Kankurou pop out of his new puppet, heading right towards her. Instantly, Inusen crouched and made a hand sign.
"Aori" He said again. Inusen didn't care right now if he was still spamming the attack, this situation needed it. Instead of blowing Kankurou away, however, a focused gust of wind blew him towards Inusen. With his kodachi still drawn, Inusen prepared a vicious attack for the fast approaching Kankurou. Inusen wouldn't let anyone threaten the team, not again.

'Thanks, Inusen...' Juni thought. She wouldn't dare say it aloud; he'd get cocky. But with her leg in it's current condition, the only way she could have evaded the attack was with a substatution, but she didn't have enough time for it. While Inusen did a bit of damage control, she did a bit herself on her leg, quickly and skillfully wrapping it in goze. it would hold for the time being.

Ikara spluttered and tried to raise her head; it felt like someone had replaced the bone in her skull with pure lead as she could barely even raise it a few inches off the ground. She coughed again, more water coming up from her lungs; at least she knew now she hadn't drowned. But why....her Kekkei Genkai meant she was able to survive for hours under water as she became a part of it.
Her head still pinned to the ground, she looked around for any sign of Kankuro; he was attacking the other Kunoichi but there was every chance he would miss. She had been pretty much useless in this battle so far; her stupid messed up mind had to choose this, one of the most important battles she'd ever fight, to go all weird on her.
Trying to fight back tears as she lifted herself up; the pain was unreal throughout her body, it felt like every bone in her body had been beaten by a thousand hammers. "Ka....Kankuro....." She gasped, barely even audible. "Use these...." She took two of her bio-needles from her pocket and tossed them in his direction with all the strength she could bear to muster
"I may not be able to fight right now but these should help you out.....they'll double the amount of Chakra the enemy drains in this battle.....it should tire them out quicker...." She forced herself to sit up, resting her back against a tree.
She had never been able to sound so sincere when talking to Kankuro but she figured that, if somehow they won this match, her battling days were going to be a thing of the past if her bipolarity got any worse, plus the fact her chakra control seemed to be going haywire and acting without her input. She had to do at least one thing to help out, even if it was a long shot. Those needles needed precise aim and needed to be targeted at the chakra points in the neck for them to work.
Ikara's vision became blurry again and she felt light headed "Tell Kita....and Gaara....i'm sorry...." She fell unconscious again.

OOC: Ma bad... I'm behind, I've been working on my site.
IC: Kankurou launched out of the puppet, only to find the kid infront of him. Great, little mister airbender activated the same old jutsu and the jounin sighed. It wasn't so bad after all, he would get busted around a bit and thrown back, but oh well. It wasn't really that big of a deal. Suddenly he noticed movement in the corner of his eye, Ikara had thrown two needles at him! Whos side was she on anyway! He saw her mouth moving and listened in intently, she was only quiet, but she seemed to be saying something to him. -urou... use these... He smiled and understood, they were for him to use against the enemy ninjas!
His eyes flicked across to the needles and his hand shot out grabbing them by the sides so as not to hurt himself, or inject their contents, which were probably harmful, into himself. Then the wind jutsu hit him. it ripped him across and down towards where the kid was, it was different to before, and Kankurou hadn't prepared anything for this. He had thought he was just going to be blown away and have his attack stopped, but instead he was shooting towards a kid with a deadly weapon, great! He needed a plan and quick, he knew his replicant was useless, Koari would never get there in time, which left him and anything he had.
Kankurou quickly glanced down at the needles, he still didn't know exactly what they did, but one quick peek should tell him what he needed to know. He saw that they were chakra drain needles, he knew they had to hit exact spots in the target's neck, but the sand ninja was almost at his attacker and he didn't have the luxury of taking time to aim the needles. He threw them at the kid's neck, knowing that there was a good chance that they would hit seeing as the kid's jutsu would pull them into him, just as it was meant to do to the jounin.
The needles sailed towards their target's neck and Kankurou trailed behind, this could get real nasty, the kid wasn't going to tire out that fast, there probably would be no reprieve from the kodachi attack, except maybe if he was shocked by being hit with two needles. Probably however, he would ignore them and dead the final blow to Kankurou, he raised his arms infront of himself to guard his head and upper torso, the most vital areas of the body and prepared himself. This was probably the end of this fight.

Juni looked up, just in time to see the two needles thrown in the direction of her partner. Something wasn't right; they weren't normal sebon needles, she could smell it. Limping slightly to Inusen's side, she took the needles herself, though, because she was taller than him and they were aimed at his neck, they landed in her shoulder. She winced in pain. "There..." she mumbled to him, "We're even, and i don't ow you a thing..."
The contents spred through her body, though not as strong since they hadn't hit her in the corect spot. She stumbled and pulled out a kunai with the opposite of the arm that had been pierced by needles, prepared to take the puppeteer as he was sucked in by Inusens wind.

Inusen wasn't prepared for this to happen. First, the enemy threw darts at him. It didn't look fatal, and Inusen was prepared to take the injury, but Juni stepped in front of him instead.
"Of all the things to happen..." Inusen thought rapidly, "And she's still worried about being 'even.' She didn't deserve that."
Rage instantly focusing his attention, Inusen made a barrage of ferocious cuts at Kankurou's torso. He was getting so worked up that he was actually making attempts to mortally wound the enemy ninja. Inusen was losing his calm very quickly.

This was it, Kankurou knew he had just launched his final attack in this fight, maybe his final attack ever. That was his last hope, and the girl had swooped in and taken the attack for the kid, she was over but so was he, that meant both he and Ikara were finished and the guy was still standing from the other team. Kankurou wondered what they were going to do to them, not that he was worried, just curious. They wanted to stop the messengers, so killing them would be best. But then again, killing the Kazekage's brother and secretary, could probably be viewed as an act of war, and Kankurou got the feeling these guys wanted to hang around until the chuunin exams. Never the less, this was not going to be good for the two sand ninja.
Juni fell away and Kankurou came flying in towards Inusen, his arms up to block his head and upper torso. Then the blows came, hard and fast, they smashed and cut the Suna jounin all over and his arm fell as a tendon was cut. The next blow hit his head, rocking it and knocking him almost unconcious, then the pain from his cut tendon set in and Kankurou fainted, his body crumpling to the ground. He was bleeding quite heavily from neumerous cuts, he could die in the condition that he was in, but it would take a little while. He wasn't exactly about to kark it in a few seconds. The puppets dissapeared back into the scrolls they came from and the clone dissapeared. His bleeding and broken body lay at Inusen's feet, a symbol that the battle was well an truely over.

Inusen kept cutting until he saw the sand ninja fall. His vision was starting to become red, whether from anger or blood splatter he couldn't tell. Either way, it was a dangerous sign to him that he had gone too far. Looking down, and seeing the crumpled form before him, instantly brought Inusen back to his senses. Taken aback at his own actions, Inusen turned quickly from his opponent; he couldn't quite look at what he had done just yet. It had been too long since he'd injured someone quite so badly.
Seeing the other opponent was still unconscious, Inusen turned to Juni and inspected the darts in her shoulder. He began wondering if his small medicinal knowledge would be of any use in this instance.
"Are you alright?" He asked Juni. She was starting to look even more fatigued than she had a few moments ago. He had no idea what the needles were, but they probably weren't normal. Inusen reached in his leg pouch for a pair of pliers, just in case he needed to remove the needles.
"What do you think we should do now?" Inusen asked. He hoped the answer wasn't violent. He didn't feel like hurting his opponents more than they already were. He kept this feeling to himself, though.

Juni looked down at the puppeteer, her eyes narrowed, not out of hatred, but by whatever had been injected into her system. She pulled the needles out herself, one by one with her fingers. "I suppose we should return to Gurisetzu-sensei..." she mumbled to Inusen. "But first..."she turned to female ninja and smirked evily.
She walked over to unconsious girl and kicked her repeatedly in the ribs. "Not so tough now are you?" she said even though she knew the girl could hear. "Yeah, nothing you can do to stop me now, can you?" She sighed, her pleasure in giving out pain sufficed. "Ok... lets go..."

Inusen flinched as Juni kicked the kunoichi. It didn't seem right to him. Still, he wasn't going to stop Juni, not when she'd taken the darts for him. By the time she was finished, Inusen had finally managed to take a look at his other opponent.
"Juni, can I borrow some of that gauze if you have any left? I think this one's about to bleed to death..." Inusen said, motioning to Kankurou. "It would be bad if he died, right? We're not supposed to let that happen."
Inusen prayed that Juni would agree. He hadn't asked out of pity, but guilt was beginning to gnaw at him. He was also beginning to vaguely remember Gurisetsu ordering Juni and himself to actually capture the sand ninja and bring them back to the Time village. If that were true, having a ninja bleed on him all the way back home would be a pain in the neck.
Inusen smirked, but only for an instant. "Home" was rather nice to think about.
