Battle of Time! - now Open! (read first post first

[Haruka Kunimitsu]

Juni stopped her tracks. Her eyes darted around looking up. "Do you sense that... that chakra pressance?" she said to Inusen. Something was not right. They were being followed. "Come out!" she demanded. "We know you're here, or at least I do..." She was sure that Inusen had sensed them as well, but wasn't sure. She set the girl down agains a nearby tree. If it was to come down to a second battle, she didn't need the extra weight.

Inusen had, again, been lost in his thoughts. Juni's question had almost passed him by unnoticed. When he looked up, she was staring into the nearby trees, looking for something. Inusen quickly dropped the scrolls in his hands and put Kankurou on the ground.

Drawing his kodachi, he readied himself for whatever was going to come. This second match probably wouldn't be as easy as the first one had been.

"oh so they are definatley the bad guys" suta said to himself as he was deciding what to do as he started preforming the handsigns to make a few clones,"shadow clone jutsu." The clones charged at the two ninja that he did not know,"Now beat them to a bloody pulp. Now lets see what kind of jutsu that they use after all i do not know who they are and that is dangerous no matter the level of the opponent." suta said deciding what to do.

Shadow clones began charging her and her partner. Carelessly pulling out an arrow from her quiver and knocking it on the string of her bow, she shot in repitition at several with great prosition. Scowling, she looked at Inusen. "This is not what we need right now..." she growled, preparing to knock other arrow. Why did this have to happen now of all times?

Inusen agreed with Juni mentally. It always seemed to him that he had the worst of luck.

"Always work, work, and then being attacked." He thought to himself. "Not much fun at all."

Analyzing the situation quickly, Inusen noted that the clones were something different than normal. They were quite probably real clones made of chakra. If that was the case, Inusen would have to be extra careful when fighting in this match.

The next thing Inusen noticed was that the enemy ninja was sitting back to watch them while his clones fought.

"He's probably trying to figure out what our strengths are." Inusen muttered to Juni. "Try not to use anything too powerful just yet."

With that, Inusen sunk into a defensive position. As long as the clones were unarmed, he would have a slight range advantage over them with his kodachi. Inusen readied himself to slash any who would approach him or his partner.

thinking that the girl was a ranged type fighter and the boy was a closer in fighter he decided that even if he won it would be a very hard fought battle after all they had beaten a chunin and jounin of the hidden sand village, so he decided that his best recourse would not be to win the fight outright but to harass them until someone else arrived to back him up, he summoned up another clone to send a messsage to the village so that he would have reinforcements. also suta blocked for the clone so that it would get throught to the village.

Juni nodded quickly in agreement, deciding to lay off on her more upperclass jutsu. As the enemy created a clone, she knew almost immediantly the purpose for it. "Inusen... we can't waste much time here..." she said in a hushed tone. "There will surely be more of this one's allies coming soon enough."

She shot her teammate a serious look with narrowed eyes, "We must not stretch out current chances at succeedig on this mission. We need to stun him and get out."

{OOC: Heh, I must appologize as well. I hadn't realized this thread had progressed until Suta told me...Yep, this'll probably take awhile. Suta doesn't like to go down easily. }

Inusen quickly slashed at a few of the approaching clones, making room for himself to crouch next to Juni. He had already decided against using any of his personal jutsu just yet.

"Futon: Daitoppa!" He muttered urgently. A blast of wind flew out from in front of him. It would probably blow several of the oncoming clones away from them. Then, hopefully, Juni would be able to take a few of the clones out while they sailed through the air.

As the dust settled from his last attack, Inusen watched the single, fleeing clone miserably; it was being guarded by the real enemy. Even so, the clone was already too far to be caught in any of his wind techniques. He would have to do as Juni said and find a way to stun the opponent enough to allow them to leave.

"Or perhaps I can create a diversion..." Inusen thought to himself while glancing at the settling dust.

Turning to Juni, Inusen whispered so that only she could hear him. "Juni, if I can create a windstorm using the dust on the ground, could you possibly make it farther away with one or both of the sand ninja? The dust should make it impossible for the enemy to see you escape, and I'll guard your retreat."

Inusen turned again to face the enemy, calmly awaiting Juni's reply.

{OOC: By the way, are these clones going to reach us anytime soon? They've been charging for, like, 3 rounds.}

a few of the clones that suta made flew back into the air but the others either luckily or stupidly were able to cling onto somethin. Suta then saw the boy whisper somethin into the girls ear which he could not hear or see what his words were by lip reading as he was too far away, suta thought of what he would do in the situation which would be to have one of them create a diversion and the other flee but suta though if they were to do that then he would be able to overpower the one left behind and capture and intirogate him and possibly go after the second one with the sand ninja, but this was all hypothetical, so...

Juni shot about six or seven arrows in rapid fire at each of the flying clones as well as those that were clinging for dear life. As Inusen whispered his thoughts, she listened intently, her eyes still set on the battle feild in case the ninja came on in a surprise attack.

She nodded. "Sounds good to me. I could carry both of these two easily." she whispered back, causious that the other nin could not hear. "It'll slow me down a little but depending on how long you can hold out a divertion, i should be able to get far enough away. "

Just make sure you make it back too-- Gurisetzu will kill me if i lose you after just picking you up." She added quickly to cover up the consern she felt for her teammates safty.

{OOC: Aww, I'm touched! Fine, I'll make it back alive. I kinda have to because we already participated in that Time Village thread. And Suta! Shame on you for guessing our plans so completely.}

Inusen nodded, glad that at least Juni would make it back, and the mission would be successful that way. He decided not to mention to her that he hadn't figured out an escape plan for himself yet. Inusen was confident, however, that he would make it back somehow.

He gritted his teeth in anticipation, this would be severely difficult for him to control, but he hadn't trained alone for so many years for nothing. Inusen steadied himself, gave Juni a quick signal, and said, "Jinkun Kaze no Jutsu."

Instantly he made the wind in front of him whirl in a devastating tornado, blowing dust and debris everywhere. All too quickly, a large dust storm was raging through the area, blocking all sight and sound. The wind was so strong that it began uprooting small trees, making it very hard to move through the area of the storm. At the center was Inusen, calmly controlling the wind from his stationary spot. He would allow Juni to move unhindered through the storm, for he had at least gained that much control, but she'd have to remember where the two sand ninja had been dropped. Inusen made sure he was careful not to extend the storm too far behind him, for fear that he would blow the sand ninja away from their resting spots. Dust was heavily coating the area by now.

Suta decided that if they were going to do that then his best choice would be to hold up until his clone made it to the village and reinforcements arrived before he went after the second one becasue after all he had the strength of the hidden leaf village just a little ways away so he would not have to rescue them himself hoepfully, then suta started with his hand signs and the chakra around his hand suddenly sprouted like an arrow and since he could guide the arrow with his mind it would be perfect in this condition and so the chakra arrow left his hand and...

Juni nodded again, slinging both of the Sand ninja over her shoulder. She was sure that Inusen could handle this guy easily. But, just in case one of those chakra created arrow-like weapons came in her direction, she created her own shield of chakra to guard her escape. She began to leap off, "Good luck, Inusen! You won't be needing it, but..." And with that word, she disappeared into to thick woods.

{OOC: I'm gonna assume he let the lightning arrow fly toward Inu.}

Inusen couldn't hear Juni's farewell to him over the wind, he was concentrating too hard. He could feel Juni leaving the area when, all of the sudden, he sensed energy closing in on him through the wind. Inusen dodged to the side at the last second, and the arrow burned his right arm as it curved towards him.

Inusen had lost control of his tornado for a second, and began to feel himself being pulled off the ground. "Damn...lightning." Inusen muttered to himself. One of the few elements he could do next to nothing against with his wind techniques. With another muttered curse, he focused his attention on bringing his Kekkei Genkai back under control.

As the storm came back under his control, Inusen brought up more dust to obscure the area until he was certain the other ninja could not see him. Now that he was sure Juni had escaped, he began to plan how he could get away with minimal damage. His options looked entirely limited at the moment, and he was certain reinforcements would probably arrive soon.

Inusen pondered the situation more, thinking out his next possible moves.
