Haruka stretched out, completely ready to get back to training and sparring. She had just recently gotten out of her arm cast, which was such a relief. Her elbow was actually bendible again. Feeling extremely rusty, she had come to the Schoolyard in Konaha, looking for an easier fight to get her back into the swing of things in battling.
She looked around, seeing a few people. None really seemed eager to fight. So, she waited to be approached by an unlucky chalenger.

Kota looked across the schoolyard, nervously wondering what he should do. He had seen that look several times before, the eyes of a person ready for a fight. Kota half listened to his friends as he looked at her. She seemed to be a lot more experienced than him, and Kota doubted he would win. It was true, he was a Chunin now, but he always felt somewhat lacking on his fighting skills. He looked around and frowned as he saw no water in the immediate area. He sighed as he realized his jutsu would be useless. He turned to his friends and appoligized to them and slowly walked over to the girl, his heart pounding. He had only one thought on his mind, you can only get better by aimming too high, and bruises go away after awhile... "Hi," he said, "I'm Kota. Mizu, Kota. I was wondering if you were looking for a sparring partner." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he almost regretted them as he stood waiting for her response.
(OOC: WooT!My first rp entry. Let's hope this goes over well. Oh and by the way. How would you introduce yourself without sounding like James Bond? Let's have a good clean fight!)

(occ- ha ha, very funny. I haven't battle rped in awhile, so forgive me if i'm a bit rusty.)
Haruka was suddenly approached by a boy, who seemed to be asking for a battle. He introduced himself as Kota. Grinning at him, she nodded. "As a matter of fact, i am!" she said happily, resting her hands behind her head. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Kunimitsu, Haruka. Chunin." she held out her hand for a quick friendly handshake. "Oh, and do you mind going a bit easy on me? I just got out of my cast." she shrugged, flexing her left arm, which had been the one that had snapped in two at the elbow. "I'm a little rusty..." she shrugged.

Kota willingly accepted her hand, his fears forgoten, a big smile on his face. After they had shaken hands he smiled awkwardly. "To be honest," he said laughing slightly, "I'm not the greatest fighter, so this should be about equal." He paused and looked around. "Should we go somewhere more...spacious? Oh! And what determines a win. First to surrender or first blood?" He wondered what kind of fighter this girl was and if he had bitten off more than he could chew...

Gladdly, Haruka bobbed his hand up and down. "Well, i guess i should be fine then." she said, with a slight sigh of relief. "As for location..." she looked around, finally turning to see behind her head, in the direction of the forest. "I think that there is a clearing alot of people use, that-a-way." she pointed dramatically over her head. "Win... uh.... Well... way i've usaually spared, it's at surrender or whenever someone passes out." she nodded as she thought this over, then confirmed it. "So, shall we head out." she gladly began walking in the direction of there battle sight.

Kota paused, realizing this as a chance to back out of the fight. He could easily slip away but that would be cowardice and Kota knew he wasn't a coward. He followed her quickly, watching her steps and movement as she walked, trying to gather any weaknesses or any strengths he could find. As they walked he sighed. He could see nothing whatsoever that showed sign of a weakness or strengths. He had never really been able to read people, even in fights. Most of the time he went off of gut instinct. He had never really liked fighting by himself, the comfort of a team always suited him better, but now he was flying solo. Atleast they wouldn't be fighting to first blood. He had always hated that style of sparring...

It didn't take long till the pair of them arrived at the clearing and Haruka turned to face him again. "Well, this is it, I guess." she said resting her hands lazily behind her head, more so for the purpose of stretching out her tricep muscle.
Shortly after this she lowered into her own fighting possition; Hand's close, so ready to defend, attack, or preform her hand seal for her possestion jutsu. "When ever you're ready... I'll go ahead and give you first attack." she said with a gratifying smile.

Kota nodded as he closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. He felt the calming effects of each breath, settling his jitters. He wasn't shaking because he was scared anymore. He was shaking because his adrenaline was pumping and he was excited. He opened his eyes quickly and started into a headlong run. He hoped to catch her by surprise, not caring if she counterattacked or not. He hoped that see would slip up and do something stupid, but...

Haruka smirked, the expression appearing more in her eyes than on her face. 'A charge... how predictable...' she thought to herself. Quickly reaching one hand down into her weapons pouch, she pulled one shuriken and one kunai from its contents and brought them up. She swapped one into her right hand, by luck, being the kunai. Skillfully aiming for his shoulder, she threw the metal star, and it spun rapidly glistening in the sunlight. She kept her kuani up for an extra defense.

Her precision and aim surprised him. By the time he realized see was using a kunai and shuriken, he already felt the needle-like pain in his shoulder. As a reaction he jumped to the side, trying to avoid the projectile that had already hit him. As he landed, he grabbed his shoulder and quickly jerked the shruriken out of his shoulder. He felt a small trickle of blood slowly working it's way down his left arm. He looked up, seeing her in a defensive stance. He now knew she had good eyes and precision, she was quick and that she seemed to be partial to a defensive form of fighting. His face remained calm as he pulled two kunai out of his sash. One to his left and the other to his right, he took his own stance. A pause ensued and Kota spoke to his oppenent calmly. "You know," he said, "That was a really good hit. But I don't plan on letting it happen again... Atleast not so easily."

Haruka felt a smirk curl her lips as he shuriken made a hit. A he paused to speak, she stashed her knife away again and made her clone hand sign. As she made each sign, she spoke back in reply to him. "Oh, believe me, that first hit was only the simplest thing i could do. Just a perfected basic." She concluded her signing repetition and said the name of her jutsu. "Earth clone jutsu."
It was then that three exact copies of herself imerged out of the very rock and earth around her. They all took different defensive stances before they all four came on in a dead charge all at once. It would be hard for someone to tell them apart. Each one aimed a kick or a punch towards him, coming at him from all sides; One to his back, front, and each side.

Kota frowned as he saw the predictament he was in. He reached into his sash and grabbed four kunai, two for each hand. He crouched down defensively, waiting for the right moment. He tightened his grip on the kunai as the multiples came rushing at him. At last, when he thought the time was right, he tossed three of the kunai into the air, holding onto the fourth. As they fell back down, he pushed them with his free hand, one toward each of what he thought to be clones. He hoped they would each fly true and hit thier mark as he turned to face the final one, hoping his plan would work...

Haruka watched carefully from her possitons among the her clones and smirked slightly in success as he drew his kunai. This seemed to be what every opponent tried first against her earth clone jutsu, but it was really useless, being as they were earth.
The three front clones on the attack took the blows from the kunai, leaving slight cracks in their rock structured bodies and surrounded him, boxing him in so that the real Haruka, who had been the one to attack from behind and the only one that had not been hit, conveniantly, could have easie access to him. But she realized as he turned that he still held one kunai as a line of defense. She would need to be careful of this as she closed in.
"A good try..." she complimented him as she stepped forward, slowly shifting back into an offensive fighting possition. "But it takes more than weaponry to get the best of these clones." She lifted her leg quicky and wipped it behind her, pulling it around for a high kick to his face, unsure of what his reaction would be.

Now it was Kota's turn to smirk. He backflipped, avoiding the reverse roundhouse kick. As soon as he felt he was a safe enough distance away he stopped and looked her in the eyes. He tried not to sound pompous as he remarked. "You know," he said smuggishly, "That was all just a ploy." His eyes motioned towards her feet which were several inches away from a paper bomb he had dropped while he had reached into his sash for the kunai. He looked back up, "Your eyes are sharp, but I think I pulled one over on you." He looked back down to the paper bomb and watched as a sizzling sound emitted from it, a sign that it was about to blow...

Haruka gave him a puzzled look for a moment. And then she heard it. The sound of a fuse being lite. Glancing down to her feet she jumped back slightly, but it was not soon enough. Smoke floated upward as the paper bomb expoded. She felt the the burning ashes singe her legs. Stumbling backwards, she felt on her back, but quickly lunged herself back up, ignoring the pain on her skin.
She smirked, though her face was still twisted in pain. "Not bad... not bad at all." she complimented. "I never would have expected that..." It was true. This plan of his had come as much of a surprise to her.
She went back on her offensive, having her clones move in front of her to fortify her defense, so maybe she could get the burns off her legs somewhat. Activating her elemental possestion for the first time in the battle, she pulled some of the water from her pouch and infused it with chakra, placing the now illuminated liquid onto her burns. It stung, but slowly the pain dulled and the burning ceased.
