A looks of surprise crossed Haruka's face when she heard a small whimper escape from him and she loosened her grip, still keeping it tight enough that he could not escape, but loose enough now that it was hopefully not painful.
"I'm sorry!" she said quickly. "Sometimes i get carried away. I didn't mean to-" she stopped herself short, finding her appologies a weak point a chance for him to take a cheap shot or something. She kept her hold tight, almost to the point of twisting it again. Sometimes it seemed that she did not know her own strenghth.
"Never mind. I'll let go if you fortet." she offered him. She doubted her would take this, being as the fight was fairly short so far. She knew for a fact that she herself would not settle for something like that. "Unless you can figure a way out." she added.

He laughed through his pain, "Now your starting to sound like me..." He tried to shift his weight, change his position, anything to help him out of his situation. The more he struggled, the more he saw the futality in it. He looked back up to her. "As for giving up, I don't think I will. I've put to much into this fight to give up." He had an inkling that if he tried to counterattack, he would be more vulnerable then he currently was. He felt that his best chance would be staying in his current predictament. "I'll tell you what," he said. "How about you knock me senseless for a bit and then I can get back up. If I do get back up, then we can continue. Deal?"

Haruka immediantly shook her head. "No thank you. I'm not one for senseless violence." she told him. "It would be completely and utterly pointless for me to beat the crap out of you and then see if you can still fight." She sighed. This was turning out to be a rather interesting battle for her, much different from the others she had been in. She usually either got beat barely, got beaten badly, or she won just barely. "How about this instead?" she finally decided. "I'll release you, and we just continue. I'm curious to see where this goes." she kept her tight hold as she waited for his reply. "But you immediant attacks or it's not deal."

Not that he didn't trust her, but he felt uneasy about this fight. Most battles were defeat or victory with no battering or deals, but so far, they had both attempted to continue this fight. "Sounds fair to me," he said, getting ready to continue. "I'm gonna try my best from here on, though." He had several ideas as to how this fight could continue and how he could use those to his advantage. He looked to Haruka, "So when ever you're ready, Haruka. I'm ready as best as I can be. When you let go, then it's back on."

Haruka nodded. "I'd expect nothing less." she said with a smirk. Appruptly, she released his foot, immediantly backing away incase he decided to pull something trickly out. She resumed her fighting possition, ready for anything that was to follow.
Perhaps how was the time for a little bit more fire possession. She needed practice with it anyway. It was just in her best interests that she did not burn herself in the process, as she had done so many other times in training with it. Quickly slidding her hands together to create some friction and forciing a little bit of chakra to her palms to fuel the spark, a small, but highly usuable and easily expandable, flame appeared in her hand.
Now she just had to see what he would do, so that she could come up with something to do with it.

He was surprised as he watched her use the friction and warmth of her hands to start the small flame. "I thought you said you weren't very good with your fire possession?" he asked. And then he felt stupid and insulted at the same time. She was using him to practice. Not only, in his opinion, had he been doing so badly in the duel, but his opponent had grown bored enough to use him as a practice dummy. His eyes narrowed, "If that's the way it's going to be, then I guess I can always use you as a guinea pig for my new invention." He reached into his sash and pulled out what looked like a plant bulb. He threw it to the ground and smiled as it made a satisfying hiss and released a cloud of mist. As he disappeared in it, he gave Haruka a smile, "No holding back now." And with that he vanished in the mist. As he moved around silently, he hoped that his invention, the Kiru Bomb, would stay in effect long enough. If not, then he could always use the jutsu version, but he hoped it wouldn't come to that, since he had already used to much chakra in too short a time.

Haruka twitched as his voice suddenly turned stoic and serious, and a thick layer of fine mist began to rise from something he threw down. At first she had thought it to be a smoke bomb or something long those lines, but when the flame in her hand began to die from the moisture in the air, she knew this was not the case.
Giving up on her fire plans, she extinquished what remained of the small flame and moved on to another plan. She wracked her brain for ideas. Mist. Mist was made of partially evaporated water. Water. She could manipulate that. A smirk crossed her lips as she prepared for her plan.
Moving her hands in a fanning-like motion, she began trying to gather the small particals of water together. Slowly it was acculmulating. Very slowly. There was no way she would get all of this mist cleared in time to find Kota. But at least it gave her another line of defense. "Come out come out, where ever you are..." she taunted, hoping to draw some movement she would possibly be able to hear or see.

Kota was just as blind as she was. He never had developed his eyes to see through his own mist which was a bug in his invention. He made a mental note to train his eyes so not to have the same problem again. He moved silently, using the mist as a cover with which to sneak around her. He had taken a mental picture of her location and let his instincts guide him, hoping he wasn't walking in circles. As her taunt reached his ears, he turned to the direction it had come from. As quickly as he could, he threw his arm to the side and the mist split, leaving a corridor of open air. "Now!" he yelled as he went for the attack.

There was only one thing that Haruka heard after her attempt to drive him out. A yelling from somewhere near her left side. Turning her eyes in the direction of the outburst, only to see Kota, now in full view was the mist has somehow mysteriously parted.
Quickly taking the amount of water that she had gathered from the mist and moving it to a offensive possitioning, she readed for him, charging at him in the space that was availible and clear for her. Splitting the water into two separete streams, she swung them both at him, aiming for his chest area, with a blade like speed.

The front of his shirt ripped as the water sliced threw his skin, knocking him back. He pressed his hand to his chest, applying pressure to stop the blood flow. Another injury, and if they had been going on points, Haruka would be leading two-to-zero. He stood quickly, his chest stinging with every heartbeat. "Nice one. You used my own trap against me," he said as he caught his breath. He tore off what remained of his shirt and gave her a goofy smile, "Guess I'm gonna have to get a new one later." He threw the rags to the side and got into a defensive position. "Thanks to you, though. I saw a very big flaw in my newest invention and I thank you for that. Shall we continue?"

Haruka smirked as he blows hit their target, right were she was aiming. "No, i got to hand it to you..." she assured him, trying to keep his outlook possitive. "I've never seen a capsul that can hold Mist. It was definetly new. Kind of the same affect as a certain Hidden Mist Jutsu." She kept her possitioning, her water ready for a second strike. "I do believe it is your turn, if we're still playing it like that." she insisted.

"The Hidden Mist Jutsu is what it is modeled after. I have worked very hard on it, but it still seems I have alot more to work out," he said somewhat disenhearted. "But I can still use it to my advantage," he said as he stepped quickly back into the mist, and slowly the clear corridor faded back into the fog. He quickly moved from his position, not caring wheter or not he made a sound. As soon as he felt safe, he pulled out another of his inventions. It was a kunai with a scroll attached to it. "My first invention... The Seeker Kunai." He remembered the concepts behind it, as he spun it in his hand. The scroll was attracted to chakra and once thrown, it would guide the kunai to a target. Kota frowned slightly. For such a complex thing to be made it took time and he only had one. He shook all doubt out of his head and threw it, whispering to himself." Find your mark..."

As her oponent stepped back into the mist, Haruka resumed a tensed, ready possitioning, her eyes darting from place to place, curious as to where he might strike. He seemed to be waiting for her to do something, maybe so he could pinpoint her in the dense fog. If she was correct, he could not see either. She figured there was no point in just standing around doing nothing, so she decided to raise her defenses a bit, knowing there was no way she would find Kota in the mist. She finally decided on a simpler clone jutsu, one she had learned as a genin, the Shadow Clone jutsu. Skillfully splitting into five counterparts, Haruka kept her water at her disposal, moving what she could fit into her water skin at her side. 'Alright Kota... i'm waiting...' she chanted in her head eagerly.

He heard no sounds other than his own heartbeat drumming in his ears. He feared his Seeker Kunai might have failed him, and he thought maybe he did the calculations wrong. He looked down and kneeled in front of him, picking up the Seeker Kunai. He quickly realized that the kunai was confused by the chakra infused mist, and had only traveled so far. He frowned, "This is becoming annoying... Maybe I should think a little more about how my gear will work when used simultaneously... " He looked out in to the fog. He thought for a moment, trying to think of a way to find Haruka. He took another step forward and stopped mid-step, looking back down. Underneath his foot was a twig that had fallen from a branch. He took his foot off of it, bent over to pick it up, and stood back up. He twirled it in his hand for a minute before grabbing it with the other hand and snapping it in half, making a resounding crack.

Haruka smirked in triumph when there was a large crack not too far ahead of her, most likely from someone stepping on or breaking a loose twig. She made her way towards the sound, her clones close on her tail as she went along. Hopefully this was not a diversion he had set up. Luckily, it was not. Not too long after coming after the noise, she could make out a slight figure in the mist, a faintly dark silohete of a person. 'Got you...' she thought to herself. Again she made a multi-sided charge, sending one clone at each side, this time having one above as well as four on all sides. The last hung back incase they needed back up.
