He chuckled and said "my mothers mom deid giving birth to her so she was raised by her father who was a ninja so she didnt learn much about cooking till my father married her and taught her to cook after that she made it a passion and loves trying new recipes"he smiled as he remembered his moms stew that she might be making for the siblings as they spoke to greet them as they came in from the cold and rainy weather

Kyokki kept smiling.

"I might have to borrow a recipe or two, if they're not a Chikara family secret. I'm cooking a lot more now, since I live by myself, and I'm finding that there's only so much microwave food that doesn't taste like total junk. I don't have the money to eat out every day. I mean, bachan sends money, of course, and I take as many D and C-rank missions as I can get my hands on, but she has to be careful where she applies for work, and my jobs don't pay much. I don't like relying on the Tenkiame more than I have to, so I eat at home. It be nice to be able to fix something new."

He smiled and took another sip and said "I am sure she wouldnt mind but you should try her food yourself I havnt meet a woman yet whos food is just like hers of course then again not many people are like my mother"he kissed kyokki's cheek and then said "all you have to do is ask and you can come over and eat with us but becareful Hikari eats alot"

"Maybe sometime," she agreed with a small, shy kiss back, "Your mother sounds like a remarkable woman, Naito-kun. I could probably learn a whole lot more than just cooking from her, too."

She thought Naito's mother might be a good basis for one of the characters Mayu, the heroine of her book, came across during the plot of the story. The woman- Kanako- was still sketchy, and while Kyokki had been able to percieve the emotion of her, she'd never been able to flesh her out. Chikara-san sounded like a perfect fit.

He blushed a little and blinked a couple of times then shook it off and said "My mother is tougher then most.Most men I know arnt nearly as tough as she is.Once she scared a anbu out of our house since my father was sick and wanted to see him when the anbu pestered for my father to return she took a old wooden spoon and chased him out of the house.Then she told us get inside and then she returned to her cooking taking care of my father.She never left his side when he got sick and still wont leave his side even in death"He looked at the room around him and began to think of a time he had seen his mother out in the graveyard at midnight

Kyokki couldn't help but laugh slightly at the idea of an ANBU being chased out of a house by a woman with a wooden spoon as three children sat and watched. She nearly spilt her tea.

"I wish I could be strong like her and Amane-bachan..."

Her voice trailed off. there was no use denying the fact that Kyokki was, in many ways, weak. It seemed she was always depending on someone else, if not phsically in a battle, then for her mental and emotional health. She honestly didn't think she'd get along very well on her own. And she hated that.

He chuckled a little and said "My mother use to say 'I am a weak woman but I am strong because I love for Love is what makes me get up and put up with you three trouble makers'she use to tell us what gave her all the strength was her love for us our father and our family"

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

"Well... if love's what does it, then I guess I'm on my way, huh? But I still would like to meet her. For some tips, you know. Actually... would it be a ton of trouble if I came over today?"

She paused for a moment, and then hurried on, "If it is, I can wait. But the way you talk about her... you admire your mother a lot, Naito-kun, and ..well..."

She wasn't able to put her reasoning to words.

He chuckled and drank some more tea he looked at her and said "well you can if you want I am sure she wouldnt mind you can talk to her all you want and she could probably give you some of her recipes"he smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek and said "but a warning dont talk back to her she hates that"

[Kyokki Tenkiame]

Kyokki smiled at Naito-kun as he kissed her again.

"Yes sir. I promise to behave myself. Okay?"

She didn't kiss him back. She had no experience with this sort ofthing. In fact, earlier on the Hokage mountain had been the first time she kissed anybody in a non-relatie sort of wway. She hoped he didn't take it the wrong way.

He chuckled as he held her hand with his and said "well then you two should get along ok"he looked at the tea shop and said "what is on your mind you seem awfully deep in thought"he always was curious one of his flaws he couldnt help but be curious about what people thought about and what they felt

Kyokki turned red again.

"It's not important," she told him.

She didn't know why she didn't want to tell Naito-kun that he had been her first kiss. She just didn't. She sipped at the last dregs of tea in her cup, and then poured another.

"I turn eighteen this summer," she changer the subject, "August 26th. When's your birthday, Naito-kun?"

He chuckled a little and said "come on you can tell me I want laugh"he began to think and said "I am born on january fifth so I will be turning 17 in a few months time"he looked older then he actually was his brother was a year and six months older and said "Hikari is born on july 5 so we are opissets"

"It's not that I'm afraid of you laughing...it's just...awkward."

After all, she would be officialy, legally an adult before the year was out. And Naito was the first boy she had even a semblance of the relationship with. She was hesitant to point that out. It wasn't normal.

After a few moments, she finally explained as much.

He chuckled and said "Awkward?Awkward is when your brother steals your weapon and you find him using it when you come into the training ground.Awkward is finding your mom wearing your clothes....This cant be that bad"he smiled as he placed his arm around her shoulder and said"yoi can tell me anything and you have to be nervouse"
