Karuki walked on the semi-empty streets of the leaf village, her right hand held over her silver locket and clearly day dreaming as she always does. Her gaze drifted from the dirt paved streets to the almost cloudless blue sky, when she was idiotic enough to stare at the sun like she always did. She closed her eyes quickly and looked back down at the ground, bangs shadowing over her golden eyes, giving the appearance of her looking sad or something. She sensed the presence of someone's chakra and stood still, not worried of any fights starting or anything of the sort.

Atasuke was jumping from rooftop to rooftop when he saw a girl walking down an empty street. He looked at her and sat down on the top of a roof for a while until he found out that she had sensed him. Since it was no use in running away, he jumped down and looked at her. He didn't want any fights for now, but if he absolutely have to, he was ready. He did not say anything since he wasn't a very talkative person.

Karuki turned to see the boy and kept her gaze on him for a few moments before speaking shyly. "Um hey... Who are you?" she was actually a bit surprised; she hasn't seen him around the village before. She looked up, since she was about an inch or two shorter to meet his gaze. Coming the to the conclusion he wasn't here to fight, her stiffened figure relaxed as her gaze drifted back to the dirt road.

Atasuke examined her and then replied calmly, "Atasuke," he said simply. She had asked who he was right away. She girl looked a bit younger then him, but noticing the forehead protector, he realized that she was a Chuunin. He then noticed that she had relaxed. Atasuke was a bit relieved the see that the girl was at least comfortable around him.

Kayuki looked back up to the boy as he replied, and smiled sweetly. "That's a nice name. It suits you well. I'm Kayuki, it's nice to meet you, Atasuke!" she commented happily. It was odd for her though, considering she felt comfortable and like she could just be herself to someone she just met, and not be the same around someone she knew as a child.

Atasuke smirked, "Yeah, you too," he looked at her, somewhat pleased that his name suits him well. He looked into her eyes and her face; she seemed comfortable and happy from her response. He wondered why she was so happy and comfortable around him so soon; he didn't talk much and he wasn't exactly friendly. He also had a split personality that he often hid successfully. But he kept this wonder within himself as he waited for what she would say.

Kayuki smiled once more, but her eyes met his a few seconds later. A barely noticable tint of pink was visable on her cheeks as she quickly looked down. She wondered herself why she was able to talk to someone she just met so easily and also, why hasn't she seen him here before. She examined him for a moment, noticing he didn't have a shinobi headband. "So, are you from around here?" she asked in her normal sweet/ calm voice. She doubted she would get an answer, but curiousity always got the best of her.

Atasuke noticed that Kayuki had asked him a question about if he was around here or not. Noticing that she was a very curious girl just like many other ninja from here, he smirked, "No," he said simply, but not threateningly. He had noticed that blush, but pretended like he didn't since he didn't want to make her even more uncomfortable around him. Did she know about his kekkei genkai and that he had a split personality? He pondered this.

Karuki looked up meeting his gaze, surprised a bit to get an answer. "Yeah, that's what I thought," she smiled, "So where are you from then? If you don't wanna answer that's fine." She thought about it, and remembered hearing of him somewhere in the village... She kept thinking about it for a few moments after remembering.

Atasuke smirked, "Nowhere and anywhere," he answered, not that he was keeping privacy, but he had to run away from his clan village, so he is pretty much from no where and anywhere. Although, Karuki might not be satisfied with his answer, he didn't expect her to be since most people would just walk away thinking him hard to talk to. Well, that;s what most people did; was Karuki most people? Atasuke wouldn't mind if she just walked away though, he'd just go on hopping rooftops again.

Karuki did an anime fall, but quickly got up. "I had a feeling you were gonna say that," she said, still in her happy yet calmed voice, "So... What brings you to Konoha?" Her curiousity was once again getting the best of her; that being the fault of her so called grandmother who always encouraged her to ask questions. "I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions." she smiled sweetly, "Alot of the shinobi here tend to do that..."

Atasuke laughed a bit, "It's okay, I'm just traveling here," that was most of the reason why he was here, but another reason was that he was looking for his older sister. Of course, he never saw her anyways, so he dropped the thought. He didn't mind the question since he was pretty much used to it.

"Cool. It must be nice to travel alot." Karuki commented happily. She suddenly remembered where she heard of him from; a traveler from some village... She wasn't sure if he was who they were talking about, so she decided to ask. "Atasuke, you have a kekkei genkai based on people and emotions, right?" she knew this might surprise him a bit, but she had to know.

Atasuke looked at her, "Yes, I do," he told her. She had to know sooner or later, but he expected her to scream, run away, curse him for being the notorious girl's brother. He had seen Mista on some posters, but it was he who was the only one who knew her true name. He shook the thought off again and looked at Karuki, waiting to see what her reaction would be.

Karuki was a little surprised, but nodded understandingly. "That's cool. I heard about you around here before..." She leaned against a wall, looking at Atasuke waiting for his response, thinking still.
